So, I'm a witch, so what?

Cinderella the 10th

The demon with who I had finished the deal soon leaves my tent and goes directly into the battlefield, creating the perfect counter-offensive with her magical power alone. A sudden pinkish barrier blocks any incoming attacks in all directions while the demon girl flies above us all.

As I witness the overwhelming power of the demon, a chilling realization creeps over me. What have I gotten myself into? This demon, whoever she was, was not bluffing when she claimed she could single-handedly halt the entire attack. My knees weaken at the thought of the grave consequences of our deal, and fear grips my heart.

The demon stands by in the skies while looking down at everyone until her eyes meet mine. Her deep gaze soon gets me down to my knees, trembling for my life like a little scared kid without hope. I take that she is sending me a message, and I better pay her off, or she will genuinely damage me and everyone related to me.

The army generals soon try to deflect their attention to the demon girl who flies over everyone, but I shout at them not to try anything stupid. I know I made a deal with her, but my generals never knew of it, so I must stop them for the time being. Besides, I doubt our entire company would be able even to scratch that monster.

I'm starting to regret summoning such a thing into this world, but at the same time, I cannot be more glad that it is choosing to be on our side and not work with the enemies. Just imagining what having her as her enemy would be like gives me the creeps. Yet, a wave of relief washes over me at the thought that she's on our side.

A small smug expression leaves my face as I confidently watch the demon who slowly descends before the attacking demon army like they are nothing but flies. I couldn't hold it back anymore! AHAHA! TAKE THAT DEMONS! Die at the hands of your ancestors!

"Ahahah! AHAHAHA! We've already won this battle." Every leader near me soon looked at me, confused and startled, like what I was saying didn't make any sense; ugh, such incompetent people.

"What are you saying, my lord? Who is that to you?" My dearest commander asks me as he tries to grasp the level of danger coming from the demon.

"She's our ticket home, a costly ticket back home. You need not fear anymore. Let her handle it." Everyone grew even more confused at my words, but I didn't care anymore, not after seeing the power of the ally I had on my team; with them with me, who could do anything?

Soon, a magic circle appeared beneath everyone while the demon held up her precise weapon of choice, it being a long sword. Her sword, just like her, was not ordinary nor cheap, as it bore the same length as its owner's height and some more. Her sword was more like a long polearm at that point.

I expected the demon girl to teleport all of us away pretty soon, but it all came to a halt when something bearing the shape of a magical arrow landed on the demon girl's hand. The person who shot the arrow soon revealed himself to be the commander of the demon king's army, who had rushed to the front lines to confront the girl.

"I can tell you're a powerful being judging by your attire and your weapon, but our problems are not with you, ancient demon. Let us kill these humans in your name, and we'll be on good terms." The demon general offers the girl an irresistible deal, but the girl only smiles at the general.

"I've already made a far better deal with the one who leads these humans. As much as I would love some blood, now the blood that humans promised me is much desired! Turn your army around now, or face me." I was watching the conversation just a couple of meters away from the barrier, so it was a little hard to hear, but I kept on watching.

"I can't retreat! In the name of the demon king! I shall get rid of even an ancient warrior like yourself! You're nothing but a minor roadblock on my way!" Soon, the demon king's general began to shift its shape into the shape of a berserk demon, which was a buffed state I had been weary of for quite a while.

The berserk state of a demon is a state of battle in which they grow their muscles to an extreme size. Their appearance shifts a lot, but their stats also seem to have an immense boost of power as well, around a three times multiplier, yet even with all of that, the demon girl doesn't even seem bothered; she just keeps smiling like always.

Soon, the demon girl breaks away from the futile conversation with the demo king general with a simple yet elegant jump upward so she can fly over everyone once again. The skies soon begin to be covered with purple clouds while she hovers above us all, holding her weapon at a 45-degree angle.

I was trying to know what the girl was doing, but my answer arrived shortly after with a massive spark of power coming from her, sending shockwaves down to the very core of the planet. The demon girl opens her arms, and a gigantic pair of pink wings appear behind her, along with a global name tag next to her that is clear for everyone to read.

[Cinderella the devourer of souls {10th of the 10 servants}]

Is she the least strong in her line of power? That can't be right; she's already far ahead of everyone I know, and she is not even the strongest in her house. How powerful is this demon? Wait a moment. I think I know where I heard her name before; there's no way she's the one who came with that man that day!

[Flashback]

"Oh! Sir Julius, it is a pleasure to meet you!" I said cowardly to the most recent recruit of the holy army, Julius, an unknown individual who suddenly appeared from nowhere with a highly oppressive power.

I didn't think much of it at the time, but I could not ignore the beauty next to him, who looked like a pretty little innocent girl back then with a strange pink magical aura just like this demon girl's. If my memory is right, then that same girl who silenced me with her mind is the same one?

Back then, I wanted to request a favor from Sir Julius, but my tongue felt heavy, and my mouth felt like it had been zipped closed with enough force to keep me quiet for centuries. I didn't know what caused it back then, but now that I see the true nature of one of Julius's servants, I can say for sure that it was her who shut me up back then.

[End of Flashback]

As soon as I'm brought back to reality, all I can see before me is a flash of light so bright it blinds me for a couple of seconds until it settles into a dim purple light just bright enough to make it easier to see in the darkness of the field thanks to the clouds that had emerged from out of nowhere.

"What the? This power?! Why am I stuck in place?! WHAT IS THIS!?" The demon general exclaims as he stands still, unable to move an inch, just like I had been a couple of months ago. This servant Cinderella was strong enough to submit a demon general that easily?!

I knew she was strong, but shouldn't a demon king general be strong enough to stand against someone like her? And if not, then how is she so powerful? It seems outright unfair! Yet this does not seem to concern the demon, who simply smiles as it slowly approaches the immobilized demon general.

Once she is close enough, she unleashes her attacks against the demons. In three sudden flashes of light, she makes quick work of the demon general with a single punch, then goes against the first army lines in the second flash. When the light fades out, she goes into the dark once more just to reveal the next step to her rampage on the third flash of light.
