Naruto: Mind over matter

Pov: Sasuke

*drip* *echo* *drip*

I wake up in a blood red corridor, a hallway styled like the houses in the Uchiha district, I'm standing in a pool of blood red water.

I can see multiple doors all throughout this corridor, a window and there is a long black snake that hangs from the roof and stretches towards the end of the dark hall.

"Hello?"

I walk towards the window and open it.

A brilliant blood red lake... no its not red, it is reflecting the giant three tomoe sharingan in the sky.

A black void that holds two sharingan in the sky, and a lake below...

"What...?"

I look towards the snake that dangles like wire as it squirms and moves within these halls, the blood dripping all around me as if taunting me about that night, the doors in the hallway emit a menacing aura that makes me want to run, but I do not- continuing forward I open the first door and see within a set of bookshelves, like the Jutsu library that the Uchiha district once had... Entering into the library I take a book from the shelf and open it, inside are names and descriptions.

"Shikamaru Nara... Hinata Hyuga... Naruto Uzumaki..."

The list goes on and on with everyone I know, I place the book back and take out another one, inside is my dreams and ambitions... but in vivid detail, every part of me placed within a book, so haunting yet beautiful... my vengeance against Itachi fills half the book, I place it back and leave the room, lets check the next.

I approach another door and-

  
And suddenly I'm ejected, waking up on Riku's couch and drenched in sweat.

"Oh you are awake?"

I look around and Ino isn't here but Riku and Eiko are, the lights are on and the sun set.

"What...?"

Riku tells me.

"You fell asleep, thought you might need the sleep"

I look over the couch were Riku is holding a large plate of cheese and crackers.

"... I'm sorry, you should of woken me, Ill get out of you and Eiko's way..."

He laughs it off.

"Ha! We just came back, no fuss. Look we got us some rings!"

He shows me his hand where an intricate silver ring with the name 'Eiko Hyuga' is engraved on it.

"Congratulations... again"

"And to you, I'm certain you didn't just 'fall asleep' no?"

I look at my hands and they stop trembling... when did they start?

"No... I think I made progress.. ill be going now. Thank you for your hospitality"

I give him a nod which he returns and I leave as Riku heads upstairs with the plate.

Pov: Ace

*bam* *whack*

I'm currently hitting the same log over and over again, it is useless for a puppet to do these exercise due to not building any muscle at all and I have excellent technique learning already- but I'm not doing it for that, I'm doing it for a Jutsu.

*whack* *crack*

I look to my left where I can see Anchor and Jewel doing the same. We have been putting this on our routine for some time, a technique to help us hit harder, the problem is it requires a very, very, very precise force release control as one misstep could blow my arm off... it has been destroyed a few times.. luckily I have the money and time to experiment with much stronger Jutsu.

Lucky I also have Anchor Jewel and me- Ace to do this so that I don't have a sudden missing arm.

The main me is always happy... maybe too happy lately, weekend dates with Eiko are going well and he doesn't have money troubles- plus the missions are usually 3 day maximum and during the week.

*Smack* *wham*

Life is good I suppose.

Pov: Anchor

This jutsu was a horrid process but we have finished and mastered it... has no mastery because you need to actually master it before using it.

[Force release: Destroyer Force] A-rank.

A jutsu without hand signs that channels force chakra to a point within the body and expels it upon contact with an enemy, it can be overcharged and deal greater damage, sending enemies flying.

This jutsu can be very lethal and should be used only on enemies.

This jutsu sounds weak, trust me- its not.

I pour chakra into my hand and throw a simple light jab at the stone slab in front of me.

It is sent flying roughly 30 ft before cracking and crumbling into pebbles.

Dangerous thing this is, cant use it in spars at all, unless I'm up against Gaaras defences that is.

Now we created a different version of this jutsu which works similar but isn't.

[Force release: Launching Point] B-rank

This jutsu has no seals and channels Force chakra to a place within the body, before expelling it and sending you flying in the opposite direction.

I pour chakra into my wooden feet and expel it- I launch myself 20 ft forward and land, rolling back up.

Now these jutsu never have the same distance and force- they always change depending on how much you put in, that is why there guides have no distance to gauge out.

The only difference is that [Destroyer Force] has a lot of destructive power behind it and even in small quantities can hurt your allies by breaking there bones, now I understand that people like Lee and Neji would be un-phased by this however they are monsters among ninja and I have no idea how they do what they do, I should not hold them to the same standards I would hold other chunin at.

Oh yeah! They became chunin in the last exam in Suna, quite the powerful trio that dominated the tournament.

Pov: Eiko

I'm sitting bored at my desk wrapped in three blankets, I'm humming a tune that Riku got stuck in my head and very happy currently, why? I managed to sneak multiple pairs of his button up shirts outside the house- hahahahahahahehehehehehe-

*smack*

"Ow!" An eraser hits my forehead

"Stop thinking depraved thoughts"

"(Mumbling) sorry mother..."

"Speak louder, clear your voice"

"Sorry mother."

"Good now eat your lunch,  you haven't eaten all day"

"But..."

"But what? I swear if you don't eat the food Riku gave you again because 'how could I dare eat something so precious'..."

She starts to mimic taking away my blankets, I hold them tighter.

"Sorry! Ill eat, Ill eat!"

She giggles into her hands at that.

"Haaa- if only your father would catch you acting like this, he would be speechless"

I stick out my tongue.

"That's because I cant do any wrong!"

"In his eyes at least." My mother chuckles and sighs before placing a few documents on my desk.

"Finish these after you are done with lunch alright?"

I nod my head and she leaves my room- office! My office. *cough* i open the bento that Riku gave me and look inside, threatening to squeal like a school girl I hug myself in happiness. The bento has a letter inside! Score! 'Enjoy the meal and stay warm~'

Hehehehehehahahah~ I feel like I'm going mad with love over here!!

Though I do need to repay Riku, for the divine food, the dates, the shirts... ehehe~ *cough* anyway what should I do? What can I do? Hmmm.

Hehehe I know a few things~ maybe help him bathe or! Or! Help cook with nothing but an apron on! Or maybe I should should show him my favourite under- No! Stop! Pure and divine Riku must not be corrupted by me!

Uhhhhh? What can I do if not something like that~

Buy him something? If that, then what? What could I get him that he already couldn't get?

I could ask his friends for help... Hinata is his best friend...

*smack* another eraser hits me as my mother checks up on me.

"I told you to eat!"

"Yes sorry!"

I sit down and start eating Riku's homemade meal... it almost brings a tear to my eye.
