Chapter 602: Change

At this point, even with Eve still right on my lap, I wasn't sure where to put my eyes on. No matter how much I enjoyed myself with this girl of mine to this point, it was never enough. With how insanely strong my love for her was, I could only try to limit myself in order to prevent her from getting harmed by my overly excited reactions as I had to be cautious of the kid that was slowly growing in her belly.

On the other hand, while I had some small fights Celleria, I could never say that she was a bad girl. From how she was constantly pursuing her own dream, how she dared to face me head on over the matters that she prioritised… If we were to meet her way earlier, before Eve actually managed to cure the emptiness in my soul, then the next words that would come out of my mouth might be entirely different!

"I'm sorry, but I can't."

Shaking my head, I was most likely the one most surprised out of the three of us. If someone were to compare the way I lived previously and the way I acted right now, then the judgment would be clear - something was incredibly wrong with my head! Not only I had a chance to getting laid with two, willing girls at once, but even do so with Eve's approbate?

But the truth was exactly the opposite. There was something wrong with my head back in my past, which was now fixed. I no longer craved the sexual excitement just for the sake of it. Even if someone were to follow the idea that releasing one's lust was something that a healthy person had to do, then I always had Eve at my side, more than willing to help me out. Yet, the reality was even further from the character that my previous, immature actions established.

In fact, right now I valued my emotional bond with my woman far more than something as simple as being able to release a gust of sperm in the comfort of her insides!

"Woah… Not gonna lie here, that surprised me."

Looking at me with her eyes wide open, I could tell that Eve didn't lie here. Or actually, I was never worried about Eve lying to me. Even if she were to conceal something from me, I had enough trust in her to assume that it was for the greater good. Instead of taking it as an act of treason or mistrust, I would consider something like this to be equal to telling the kids in primary school that negative numbers didn't exist!

While an outright lie for someone knowledgable enough, for the kids that were only beginning their journey with science, it allowed simplifying the basics by ignoring the matters above their level!

Yet, at this moment, there was something else outside of sheer surprise that was visible in Eve's pupils. Given how it was the first time I got to see it, I was unable to accurately pinpoint what was actually going through my beloved's mind.

"But I can't claim I don't like this new you."

Suddenly pushing herself forward, Eve grasped my head between her hands before joining with me for a long, deep kiss. Even though she barred my lips from employing our tongues into the action, just the closeness and the strange connection that I felt while kissing her was enough to make my brain go error four-hundred four.

"I'm sorry, dear. I guess he finally grew up. Either way, you came here with both good and bad news. Now that you passed the good news, you can hit us with the bad ones."

Smiling pervertedly at me, Eve accented how happy she was with my change by turning what I considered to be bad news into the actual good ones! Taking a quick peek to the side once Eve's mouth finally freed my head, I confirmed with relief that while Celleria was clearly shaken and disappointed, there was no hints of anger or depression in her eyes. In fact, after acknowledging the difference between what she expected and what she got, and deriving the true meaning behind it, her eyes filled with something between compassion and pride?

"It's okay, sister. I dare not ask what you had to go through in the past for this kind of thing to actually make you happy… But given the situation, I'm in no place to point fingers or complain…"

Taking the news surprisingly well, Celleria quickly backed up after lowering her head and realising that she was still in her rather revealing outfit. With how the entire situation changed, this rowdy girl actually showed her embarrassed side by dashing towards the insides of the house that I built the moment her chances of getting fucked turned to flat zero.

"So, now that the hind... now that Celia is gone, tell me the rest."

Hanging herself on my neck, Eve leaned to the back while looking me in the eyes. Seeing her intense gaze, I realised that even the small nitpick from a moment ago was nothing but a ploy of this smart, little girl to keep Celleria away for a little longer, giving us enough time to discuss the details of the information that I gathered up.

"Thanks for that. But as for the main topic… I seem to find the next destination on our journey. It's a place called immortal's town…"

Quickly recounting all the events and information that allowed me to expand my knowledge about this new reality we found ourselves in, I couldn't help but notice how Eve's expression continued to change as my story neared the end.

"A place where all the immortal gathers… and a place where one can easily turn immortal? Wouldn't that solve Celleria's issue in a much better way than making her rely on the bloodline of our bastard father?"

Eve's way of naming the man who was partially responsible for her existence proved that she was already done thinking about the entire mater. Given how her father most likely saw her as nothing but a tool to be used and thrown away, Eve had to take this reality to her heart, finally and decisively passing a judgment of that devious man.

"That might be true… As long as what Makay said is at least partially true. It would be stupid to believe he doesn't know our circumstances, even if they appeared just before that big fight I told you about."

It only occurred to me now. So far, I was so starved for knowledge about the place where we were in right now, that I didn't really put any filters aimed to prevent people feeding me unobvious bullcrap rather than the real stuff. If it turned out that this entire immortal city was nothing more but a trap when Makay's friends would look for people believing in the story that he told me, then even I might find it troublesome to save my group from the ambush, especially after Makay experienced a fraction of my power firsthand!

"I guess we don't really have a choice. While living here might be pleasant, we both know that we can't stay here for long."
