Mini-Chapter 2: Discussions.

POV: Harry Terria

I was currently looking over a few of the people who had been taken into Certe's church; They were lying in some bedding that had been stolen from the homes that hadn't caught on fire just yet and had bandages wrapped around their wounds. Most of them were beast-kin and had apparently been the focus of some people when the chaos had broken out.

The man named Antier and I had debated on who would go to help who, but seeing as both of us were humans it was agreed that I would be less threatening due to me being younger. Not that it really helped all that much, the wounds would heal but the scars would remain.

I sighed and turned around to check up on Antier, he had his back to a wall and looked exhausted from running around for hours on end; I didn't blame him though, as he didn't look like he did a lot of exercise.

Deciding that there were no times better than the present, I made my way over to him.

"Hi..." I began but realized right after that I had no idea of what to talk about.

Antier turned to look at me slowly, his lack of energy making itself known. "Oh... Hi. Do you want to talk about something? In that case, I had a question for you; What is this place?"

I quickly took the conversation topic to save myself from embarrassment, "Well, this is Certe's church, she's the goddess I pray to."

Antier certainly looked more interested now, "Huh, you worship her? Why not Terse, isn't he better?"

I tried to hold back my anger from my face, but I could tell that I wasn't all that successful. "Terse didn't do anything for me, Certe saved my life."

The man took a step back before talking, "...Alright, you don't need to be like that though."

I shook my head and walked towards the altar so that I could rest, I wouldn't be useful while angry anyway.

Yeah... this is another small one. But I just have a whole lotta stuff to keep track of now, the last few exams are upon me now...
