Remnants anomaly

Growing

Leon seemed to vanish for the next few weeks until the start of the next semester but that was mostly since he was near the border of the kingdom clashing with goliaths along side genesis. the shockwaves each of their attacks created rang out for miles this entire time. by the time leon returned to beacon all of this herd had been annihilated and leon had been dowsed with a frankly massive amount of essence of grim. this create several minute but noticeable changes in his appearance. the largest was how the whites of his eyes had began to show thin black stripes and the tomoe's of his sharingan had began to slowly rotate around his pupil.

One of the smaller changes was that the silver streaks in his hair had started to widen slightly both on his head and wings. another miner change was how his skin had began to lighten in color as if he was not being exposed to as much sunlight as he had been. on an different note however the difficulty leon had fighting the goliath's allowed him to raise his stats to the lower part of A rank.

Once leon hit the peak of SS rank in his stats he would need to find another challenge in order to level up but that was bound to be much further in the future. leon was pretty excited to notice the slow rotation of his eyes however while also considerably worried as well since from his knowledge such a phenomena meant his eyes were close to unlocking mangekyou. having the MS would bring him a step closer to the peak of power but it was almost always accompanied terrible heart ache. there weren't many things that could bring such an extreme amount of emotion to leon but the few that he could think of were not scenarios he wanted to ponder that much.

What leon wasn't aware of  was that the changes he had experience were tied directly to his sudden increase in grim corruption. keep in mind even the smallest goliath was close to a story tall and around the size of an elephant. the biggest member of the grim type was several stories tall and much bigger in size. so but cutting open these grim leon was basically dipped in a whole grim pool for a brief instance several times.

This wasn't a huge amount of time for the corruption to advance but keep in mind that it was cumulative so it was starting to add up. the commotion leon and genesis created and the removal of that particular herd of goliaths was considered a popular topic in the public eye. without a large military movement such a herd of grim would never have been eradicated and even then only if the herd tried to attack the kingdom. it was pretty clear to those aware of leon's disappearance that he was likely responsible for this event as well as the implications it had.

The biggest implication was that hunters with such power were usually hidden away as secret weapons in case of war. with the sudden removal of this herd of goliaths being made public it basically told the other kingdom's that such an extreme power had risen. if you went by skill and physical strength leon was tied with the strongest normal hunter to ever live. add on his magic and sharingan however and he had broken into maiden territories of power. that was the absolute peak of power that a normal hunter might ever have access to and it was also only available for four women at any one time.

Each of the four original kingdoms each had a single maiden that they guarded zealously when they discover who it is. vale had the fall maiden , mistral the summer maiden , vacuo the winter maiden and atlas the spring maiden. due to the nature of the maiden's power however keeping the power contained and hidden was very hard. when the previous maiden died one of two scenarios happened , the first was that she passed the power to whoever was on her mind when she died if they were female or it choose the most suitable vessel in the kingdom.
