Ambush

"I don't know if i should be happy you all want to go to med school or upset at your lack of faith in me." leon said with a smirk getting eight bloodshot sets of eyes staring back at him blankly in return. "i was coming over to let you all know that it wasn't anything to worry about but now i suppose i should send each of you to bed ." he said before watching each of the eight people breath a sigh of relief and passing out from exhaustion. leon just shook his head with a small smile as he carefully carried each person to their own beds.

The books leon checked to see if they belonged to a library of which about half of which did so he stored them and left to return them. leon wasn't really surprised to learn that the two teams skipped out on dinner the next day. they looked fairly normal when they arrived at his class since it was saturday and every student looked forward to his classes. leon watched from nearby with a small group of people dressed in ninja outfits as the entire class looked around in confusion.

Leon made a hand signal and the group of "ninjas" reached the group of students near instantly and marked most of them with red paint on a vital area. the few students who successfully reacted to the ambush were noted down by leon before he dropped the light refracting sheet he used to hide from the students. "the lesson for today is how to deal with ambushes and as that red paint on most of you can tell you , it's important." he said with a smirk at the embarrassed looks on most of the students.

"Can anyone tell me the first mistake most of you made when you found yourself under attack?" he asked and pyrrha like always raised her hand eagerly. "go ahead miss nikos." he said and she started talking. "most of us panicked and made the situation worse for the rest." she said looking like she wanted to be praised but leon shut that down. "you are mistaken i'm afraid , no the first mistake most of you made was not observing your surroundings despite knowing my absence was unusual. your surroundings will always give clues about most ambushes that are not set up long before you even arrive in the area." leon said calmly.

Leon raised his hand a begin to list the clues with raised fingers. "first clue was that i was absent , the second clue was the lack of any insect or bird song. the third clue was the foot prints that showed exactly where each of my assistants were hidden. the final clue was the obvious and heavy killing intent each and every one of them were directing at you all that went ignored." he finished with a stern look. "i am disappointed in the carelessness each of you showed when arriving here unprepared for whatever strange but useful lesson i may have planned." he said honestly.

"The most concerning thing however was how most of you ignored the warnings your own aura's gave you. each and every one of you have had your auras for an extended period of time and should know better than to ignore them yet look at your performance. seven different sources of blood lust targeted you and only seven of you managed to react to it." leon admonished making most of the students look even more embarrassed. "that said i aim to fix this reactive nature most of you have shown." leon said with a grin.

"The first thing each of you need to understand is that in most ambushes the ones hiding are after your lives. this in turn means that in most of these times at least a faint bloodlust will be in the air and your auras will warn you of this. your first goal is to memorize the feeling your aura gives you when exposed to sudden bloodlust while you are relaxed." leon said with a grin. "my wonderful assistants will randomly be subjecting each of you to exactly this for the next week." the grin grew.
