Naruto: Mind over matter

Pov: Mizuki

"Congratulations Kiba, you are now officially a ninja"

I watch the kid and his ninken cheer in joy and breath out a sigh of relief that I'm halfway through the tests already, lets me leave early to prepare for Naruto's special... examination

"Riku, come in for your test"

I watch as the demons friend enters the room, the necklace he wears taunting me, gritting my teeth but placing a smile on my face I think on how I am going to fail him

There is no way I'm letting the demon or his 'best buddy' succeed today, if it wasn't for Iruka giving special circumstances to his test this wouldn't be so hard

Iruka speaks to Riku informing him of the details of being accepted as a ninja and pauses to look at the 3 scrolls in front of him

Taking my chance I tap my foot lightly against the floor and activate the seal I prepared for demons friend

"Alright, Riku... lets start with the imbue costume jutsu you have created

When I take off my foot from the seal Yin chakra in a 5 metre radius will 'shake', this means nothing for those of us who use regular chakra, but for Riku who's entire jutsu systems relies on it... it could make him fail this test if unprepared

I watch as he slowly tans his skin, applying a scar over his nose and morphing his clothes into that of a chunin ninja of Konoha, his black hair lightens to a dark brown and shapes into a Iruka replicate style, he doesn't grow or change weight, but he looks like Iruka when he was younger

"Very well done Riku, now lets see you body shunt shall we"

I watch as he is suddenly shunted to the left and then back again, he displays mastery over his own technique

"I wasn't too worried about you failing that one, but it seems you have mastered this jutsu too! Now on to the final one, you just got this jutsu in on time so take it slow"

That is what I was hoping for, a jutsu nobody has seen that he has practiced only by himself, I'm sure the demons friend has used his 'tricks' in earnest but I cannot allow him to pass

I lift my foot and shuffle closer to the desk, as if I was waiting to see his jutsu

He freezes for a moment, but does the seals

His face goes inhuman once again, I'm sure of it. the demon has tainted this one

Monkey

He knows something is wrong and cancels his technique, but he shows no sign of sweat, panic or anything that would indicate him human

"Is everything alright Riku?"

"No, my Yin Chakra is destabilizing all of a sudden..."

I speak up ready to fail him

"Are you able to try again? If you do not try again... well I understand it may sound cruel but not being able to perform any jutsu mid-battle is not going to help your teammates"

A contemplative look forms on Iruka's face

I do my best teachers smile and continue

"If you wish to take five minutes for yourself and we can get another-"

I'm cut off by Iruka, good.

"No, if you are unable to produce the jutsu now I would not feel content sending you out to battle when you could get yourself injured or worse, perhaps another year at the academy will allow you to learn the basic three jutsu?"

The kid goes blank again, still as a statue... what a freak

His hands start to move again and he forms the seals

He pulls out a kunai and imbues it, staring at it for a few seconds he then throws it at the back of the room

I watch as it turns around and flies back, oh? This is better then I thought, the kunai misses him and his hands by a large margin and appears right before me

Iruka takes out one of his kunai and immediately deflects it

"Riku! If you do not have your jutsu under control you should not use it, there are severe-"

I ignore Iruka's rant, and it looks like the boy does too, it was worth it coming in an hour early to set this seal up, and so he doesn't graduate next year ill assassinate him after I'm done with Naruto, or I could get him in on my plans as well... yes no, ill go get his body instead of using Iruka for the demons revelation

Pov: Naruto Uzumaki

I set myself next to Riku, feeling pretty bombed out that I didn't get to be a ninja, I don't feel all that bad but... haaaa~

Looking at the rest of the class leave with there headbands, there... family, I get up too, I start heading to my apartment and turn to see Riku about to get up as well

Continuing on my walk in bump into Mizuki-sensei who informs me of a second chance? YES! IM NOT DONE YET DATTEBAYO!

Rushing towards my apartment I grab my gear and start planning to get the super badass scroll or whatever

Apparently Riku gets another chance as well Mizuki-sensei said so, there is still a chance of being in the same team! This is awesome dattebayo!

I wait for the right hour to enter Jiji's house and execute my plan, sneaking in and through the hallways, I eventually find the safe and with the key seal or whatever Mizuki-sensei gave me I open it

On my way out I bump into Jiji but I activate my ultimate technique! showing him one of my favourite jutsu- That's right if Riku can make em' so can I!

The sexy jutsu is complete and Jiji falls for it hook line and sinker

Rushing out the door I head to the location I needed to get to, a small patch of land in the forest just out of Konoha

Sitting there for an hour I cant help but read the scroll, no one told me not too ya' know?

And that's when I hear a thump behind me and I swivel around to see Mizuki-sensei and... is that Riku?

Riku's body made that thumping noise, his neck is bending the wrong way and he is covered in blood and bruises

Why IS Riku SO injured! My breathing BECOMES so, so, so HEAVY!

"Naruto, thank you for being so attentive to your duties, but the game is over demon"

He GOES to GRAB the scroll from ME but I jump back

I feel sick to MY core, my TEETH feel THICK and my BODY, HURTS!

I run and HIDE, trying to get away but the tears RUN down my cheeks, IS RIKU DEAD! I know Jiji SAID to prepare and understand, but, but, but that's NOT how Riku DIES!

I hear MIZUKI'S footsteps coming closer, he is playing with me TOYING with ME!?

"you want to know why everyone hates you!? You want to know why no one wants to keep you around Naruto!?"

My breath hitches and I close my eyes TIGHT

"Kyuubi. That damned fox is what you are, the fourth never killed the beast, but ill make sure to finish you! Especially after what you have done!"

I freeze, my cold sweat and tears that drip down my body feel much more... WARM

"You killed hundreds of people! Ruined thousands of lives and you get to just sit back and enjoy life at the academy!? No, no, no not on my watch, not while I live and breath"

I huddle into myself, the tears BURNING my cheeks, I know MIZUKI! is right in front of me but I do not MOVE... I did that? I killed Riku's parents? Mizuki-senseis family? Why was I left alive... why?

I look up to see a fuma shuriken mid throw inches before my head

I'm alone, there is NO ONE to help me... no Riku to help me...

Pov: Kakashi Hatake

"Maa, I got it, I got it ill go look for him"

Waving my hands I flicker out of lord thirds office and onto the rooftops, I head to a building where I can see both ichiraku's and Naruto's apartment where I can see Iruka heading towards, i don't smell his presence anywhere near his house...

He isn't eating at ichiraku, kind of expected him to stupidly take a snack break while he reads a forbidden scroll in public...

Maaa~ lets go check out Riku's apartment, heading to the eastern- hey? He lives 2 doors down from me? I thought it was getting louder in my apartment building recently, hmm? Blood, why does it smell like blood? No, not mine I just went to get my uniforms all cleaned up an hour ago...

Making a dash for the smell I arrive at Riku's door... deep breath Kakashi, lets hope this isn't a bad reaction to failing the test...

Opening the door, its unlocked? And peering through I see what seems to be a scene after a fight, no body and it seems the invader left in a rush, not even a basic clean up...

Sniffing the room and scanning the perimeter I make a dash across the rooftops again and head towards the forest, the scent leads that way

Arriving at the treetops I peer down and my eyes bulge at the sight of Riku's corpse...

Deep breath Kakashi, got to find Naruto, please be safe kid...

Jumping forward I hear some dumbass shouting about the kyuubi- are you fucking with me? This again why doesn't anyone understand that its sealed in Naruto not- never mind.

I land above the scene just in time to watch the dumbass throw a fuma shuriken... from 10ft away?

Leaping down to intercept I kick the shuriken away- Ow, have to catch up on my Taijutsu again, maa~ ill wait till Gai challenges me next week

I lunge at the dumbass and before he can blink I sink two kunai into his thighs and pull his shoulders down, slamming his head onto my knee, there that should knock him out, was always better at quick fights rather than long ones...

*Poof* *Bamf* *bsshhh*

All around me is smoke, and under it is? Naruto's? Oh no, they look more than angry, red eyes wild whiskers and claws with sharpened teeth

The original hasn't moved so I jump backwards and give him a whirlwind kick to the head, he wont hold a grudge right?

Due to the laws of motion I bounce of the tree and land next to the now knocked out Naruto

Looking up I see the clones.. shadow clones grit there teeth and some of them swearing before they pop out of existence again

Maaa~ this is gonna to be a lot of paper work...
