MHA: ‘Serene’ Life in Another World.

Choose your Purpose.

"My Ikigai?"

"Yes, your Ikigai (Purpose of life). Mine is to live peacefully but have some adventure and action on the side as well. And I am trying to achieve it. The action part is going well but peaceful is a bit far away than expected."

"...Mine is... It is to live freely and however, I want. Yeah... That is my ikigai." She stuttered initially but said the last part fluently.

"Why the stutter? Not so convinced of your own purpose of life."

But Himiko didn't answer. She was looking down with a dazed expression.

"Let me tell you two things. First, Your Ikigai is unachievable, considering your actions to achieve them.

Do you think you can go out and drink anybody's blood so easily? Once the case transfers from the hands of the Police to the heroes, you will be hunted like a rabid dog. And after taking your quirk into the equation, the public will be ready to vilify and ostracize you. So try to imagine yourself 5 years in the future."

Himiko maintained her dazed expression and I continued,

"What did you see? Not a pleasant future in my opinion. Increase the time by 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 50 years. Where did you find yourself? Living a free life with no rules Like you wanted? Or just a chaotic life with no purpose, trying to live off the remaining days in the guilt of your past deeds as the realization hits you every day that how you ruined your life and the life of others, by surrendering to these urges and indulging in short-term pleasure coming out of it."

I looked at Himiko for her reaction to it. I thought she will be dazed again but this time she snapped back at me.

"DO YOU THINK I HAVE ANY OTHER WAY?? DO YOU THINK I CAN GO BACK TO THE SOCIETY AFTER WHAT I HAVE DONE?? DO YOU THINK I HAVE ANY CHOICE??"

"Yes... You do have a choice to make. The attitude that you will adopt that is you have to choose. Everything can be taken from a person but one thing remains, and that is the last of human freedoms- to choose one's attitude, to choose one's own way.

And I will give you the choices. You just have to choose any one of them.

1. A Normal Life.
2. A Life with a sense of responsibility.
3. A Life with no rules to restrain you.

These choices come with their own benefits but don't forget about the consequences. And you will have to bear all the consequences of the choice you make. One of the options, clearly makes you my target for the hunt but I will give you a week to go as far as possible from me if you choose that option. But there will..."

"A Normal Life." Himiko gave an answer before I could give the explanation.

"Are you sure?"

"A Normal Life. I want a normal life. Can you give me that? Or you just said all those things to act like a god in front of me." She said in a cynical tone. Her doubts were justified.

My hands started fusing with her body and this time the extent of fusion was greater than the last time I used >>Mind Stabilizer<< on her. Himiko started panicking again as her feelings again started fading again. But it was futile as in a matter of seconds, she became a 'doll.'

"If a normal life is your wish. Then Shall be it." I acted like the god she referred me to. It was me just adding some humor to the serious conversation, aimed to seek someone's purpose in life.

In the room, there was a little girl wearing clothes that were clearly not of her size. The clothes covered her like a blanket. She looked around in every direction, trying to perceive her surroundings like a lost child who is trying to find their mother.

In her pursuit of information, she saw a man standing in front of her. He was a lean, muscular man with olive green hair. The girl did not feel intimidated by the man standing so close to her instead she asked,

"Who are you? Where am I?... And Who am I?"

The man bent down to match his face to the girl's level. He replied with a gentle smile on his face.

"You are my daughter, Himiko Kanzaki."
