Marvel: Reincarnated As Tsunade With A System

Chapter 23: Meeting Dr Hill Again

"Ahh, nothing better than a good sleep," Emma yawned after waking up, feeling as good as ever, even though this seemed to be her normal condition after acquiring Tsunade's abilities.

It had already been four days since she was reincarnated into this world. During this time, she had completely adapted to her new life, and she had also formed a good online friendship with Kitty.

Today marked the beginning of her adventure. She had a full schedule: first going to the hospital in the morning for her internship, having lunch, heading to Kamar Taj for the start of her magic practice, and, at night, beginning the first part of her program, her online classes.

"Well, let's take a bath to start this exciting journey."

...

After finishing her bath, she, of course, had breakfast and left after preparing herself.

As soon as she left her apartment, she saw a car waiting for her outside. She knew it was there for her because the person inside was a SHIELD agent she knew well. Sure enough, after seeing her come out, he honked.

Emma, of course, approached the car, looking at him curiously. He said, "Hello, Ms. Emma, I'm Coulson from SHIELD. Director Fury sent me as your guide today."

That's right, it was the Coulson whose death more or less united the Avengers and who became the SHIELD Director in the show Agents of SHIELD.

She replied with a smile, "Hi, you can just call me Emma, and thanks in advance for the service."

Emma didn't underestimate this chubby agent. His ability to read people was something even Fury had to applaud. Plus, his friendly aura made it easy for people to let down their guard, but she wasn't foolish enough to do that.

...

While Emma and Coulson were on their way to the hospital, some people Emma knew were already waiting for her.

It was the first two people she had seen after arriving in this world, Dr. Hill and the nurse who had attended to her at the time.

The nurse, Ellie, couldn't help but ask, "Dr. Hill, who's coming that's so special that you have to wait for them?"

You have to know that she and Dr. Hill weren't just a normal doctor and nurse. They were specially assigned by the government to handle unique situations like Emma's. Only people like them would be engaged for such work.

Dr. Hill replied with a helpless smile at his special partner, "How many times do I have to tell you to just call me Hill?"

"As for who we're meeting, it's someone whose existence alone could change the medical sector. Do you remember the mutant we were in charge of six days ago? The one that made the news for saving people?"

Ellie nodded. It was hard to forget the person who had lifted them and walked as if she was carrying nothing. She couldn't help but shudder, recalling the pointed arms aimed at them.

Dr. Hill continued, "She awakened a miraculous ability to heal even the worst injuries. Although the limits of her abilities haven't been tested yet, she'll be working with us from now on, learning medical knowledge and helping us heal patients. We've also been tasked with observing the limits of her power."

Ellie was delighted upon hearing this news. She had been fascinated by the supernatural since childhood, which was the reason she had taken such a risky job.

She had often wanted mutants and the government to cooperate because she believed that mutant powers could help humanity evolve in a way that would take 1,000 years to achieve in just 100.

Letting Emma join them was like the government giving the green light to peace and cooperation with mutants instead of pushing them away.

They didn't have to wait long, as they soon saw a familiar car approaching, it was Coulson's car, someone from the C.I.A they had worked with many times before. Emma was with him.

Upon seeing the two of them, Emma was obviously surprised to recognize them. Dr. Hill smiled and said, "Hello, Ms. Emma. We meet again. How are you feeling now?"

Emma, pleased to see them, replied, "Haha, it's a surprise to see you again, Dr. Hill. As for the past few days, I can only say they've been special and weird."

Dr. Hill nodded. He understood what she was implying. She was in some kind of cooperation after awakening her mutant powers, so of course, the past few days would have felt magical for her.

But he had a natural affinity for her, sensing that she was a good person, and he comforted her: "Don't worry, you'll get used to it over time. After all, our greatest ability is our adaptability to new things."

Emma didn't dwell on this. They walked into the hospital, and Dr. Hill said, "Our work today concerns the victims of the mutant fight that injured you. Although you saved some people, after you were knocked out, the fight caused more damage and left more victims."

Coulson, walking with them, added, "Obviously, we're pretty helpless against mutant powers. So many resources are needed just to arrest one, and look at the damage they've done."

If Emma didn't know some of the truth, she might have been swayed by what Coulson and Dr. Hill were saying. But was the government really that helpless?

She didn't think so. The government simply didn't want to interfere too much and instill fear of mutants in the public. Otherwise, they have brought mutants to the brink of extinction many times in some universe, even in a world where there weren't any superpowered people apart from the mutants, just by relying on advanced technology.

The atmosphere in the hospital was heavy with grief, as many victims' families were deeply affected, generating negative energy.

If this were the Jujutsu Kaisen world, so many powerful curses would have been born. But unfortunately, this was reality in the Marvel world, where disasters like this happened regularly.
