Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1345: A Secret Weapon?

The chain of explosions that expanded across the horizon in a straight line slowly started to fade away revealing a long empty space in the middle of the massive army.

Every single person on the island is shocked, slack-jawed, and overwhelmed by what they have just witnessed.

However, it didn't wipe out the entire battalion, and still have more than 90 percent of their army intact as their number is really impressive.

But the display of power shown by Julian is enough to give confidence to charge forward, knowing that if things come to shove, they always have this option.

Julian "What are you all waiting for? Charge"

Julian finally spoke and ordered the soldiers to engage the incoming army.

Now that Julian has revealed his strength, the soldiers have gained confidence that they can win so with the arrival of his command; the soldiers boarded their vessels and few towards the incoming enemies to intercept them.

Within seconds, the two armies collided, cannons were fired, and pokemons used their powers against each other. The entire island shore was consumed with chaos.

Julian watched as this chaos unfolded. Multiple explosions occur within seconds as both armies collide. Pokemons exchanged moves, and soldiers slammed into each other.

He expected this. This is what a war looks like.

Julian "We should join in as well. They aren't going to last long without their leaders,"

Julian said while turning towards Officer Jenny and Nanu.

Both of them nodded their head agreeing with Julian. They then hopped on their particular vehicle and flew into action, joining their soldiers in the battle.

Not wasting any time, Julian also decided to join but first, he needed to take care of something.

Julian [Gyarados, head to the other islands. Destroy the enemies.]

He sent a telepathic message to Gyarados. Since he will be here to fight the battle, Gyarados can take care of enemies attacking the other islands.

With his command, Gyarados starts swimming towards the other island and frightens both enemy and ally soldiers as they see his huge shadowy silhouette moving under the water's surface.

Seeing the shadowy silhouette, people near the water surface scrambled in fear as they didn't want anything to do with this giant monster beneath them.

Some of them sighed in relief as they saw it not giving them any attention and swimming away. And as soon as the black silhouette was out of their sight, they engaged against each other once again.

Noticing that Gyarados was already heading toward the other island, Julian took out a Pokeball and called out, Charizard.

Julian [Gengar, head forward and find out where the commander is hiding.]

Julian ordered and watched his shadow split into two. One is his original shadow, and the other is Gengar, zooming away to find his victim.

Julian then hopped on Charizard's back and joined the fight as well.

Back at the war base, Miror B is dancing to the music when his goons once again rush into his room with worried faces.

Disturbed by their sudden appearance, Miror B was annoyed but he expected that these two idiots would soon come running back to him but it was earlier than expected.

He stops the music and gives a stern look to the two idiots in front of him.

Miror B "What is it now?"

He asks in a condescending tone.

"Sir, our forces on Ula Ula island suddenly suffered a huge amount of loss. The enemy seems to have a very powerful weapon,"

The blonde-haired goon spoke in a worried tone.

Miror B. "What kind of weapon?"

Miror B asked as he got curious. From the information he has gathered on Alola, their fighting force is not that great and they don't have any advanced weapons for military use.

Since the Alolan islands are far from the main continent and are a very small region, they have never faced an all-out war, so they never bothered to increase their military.

So Miror B wondered where did Alola get these above-mentioned weapons.

"Don't know, it was a huge energy beam that wiped out numerous of our soldiers across the sky,"

The other one spoke.

Miror B "How many did we lose?"

He asked.

"We have already lost over 10000 soldiers that were assigned to Ula Ula island,"

The blond-haired goon answered.

Hearing this, Miror B frowned. It has only been a few minutes since they engaged in battle, but they have already lost 10000 soldiers. This is concerning to hear.

Miror B "How many times have they used this weapon?"

He asked as he wondered if they could fire this weapon at will or does it take time to recharge.

With how his goons have described it, this weapon has a lot of firepower, so it must need a massive source of power. This is his theory.

"Till now it has only been fired once but we have not been updated yet,"

The blond-haired goon spoke.

Miror B "It's fine for now. Keep me updated about this weapon and inform me as soon as it is used again"

He said and resumed the music and started grooving to the beat of the music along with his pokemons.
