Evolution Theory of the Hunter

Chapter 146

J: 14 chapters left of Kyle’s translations. I hope he does not suffer too much in the army….

The Black Tiger that landed much more lightly compared to its size continued to run forward.

Soo-ah riding the Giant White Tiger followed from the side.

The van also stuck to her back. I could see Han Joon-suk, Bae Yeon-gyeong, Manager Kim and Park Han-bum from the wide open window.

As Cho Young-gu who was driving used his barrier creation a shield barrier that covered the entire front part of the van appeared.

Also, Jong Sa-won was standing upright on top of the van while getting hit by the wind.

An exclamation came out on its own looking at his figure that was wearing tight leather armor that covered his entire body and a full face helmet, with the Rubicon Sword on his waist.

The Chungho Group also sent out their forces. A formation where the center was dense while the sides were slanted. It seemed like they were planning on blocking the charge of the center and annihilating us after surrounding us.

A battle between a wedge formation’s formation destroying power with the Black Tiger at the front and the defensive formation made to withstand it.

An arrow passed by my ear.

The arrows that were trickling down were now pouring down like rain.

“Kuuh!”

A Grey Wolf that was running madly staggered and collapsed on the ground. A few hunters that were following got caught up by it and retired before being able to fight.

However, the charging formation was still not broken. Most of the arrows got stuck in the ground or got deflected off the body of monsters.

In the end, the fight became simple.

Spear and shield.

Which side had more power.

The Chungho Group put up spears at the very front. As rushed as they were, they had brought out the ancient tactics of facing cavalry.

However, that was tactic that only worked against horses that had a lot of fear.

This side were not riding horses but monsters. They were beings that didn’t lose their will even with dozens of spears stabbed into them.

But I couldn’t just watch us get done in like that.

I called the Dancing Sword while on the Black Tiger.

The Dancing Sword with Aura Blade on it fell on the Chungho Group’s formation from the sky.

Boom!

With an explosion a hole was made in the front.

The Black Tiger ran into that space.

Roar!

“Ahh!”

“Kuk!”

The ones that got crushed by the Black Tiger’s feet let out death throes. The Black Tiger destroyed the enemies formation as it sent the hunters blocking the way with a single hit of its paw.

Human bones broke and muscles ripped apart. The Black Tiger tore down the enemies formation as it dived in like a wolf in a field full of sheep.

The Chungho Group whose formation got destroyed instantly tried to endure with all their might but they were being brutally crushed by the monsters following behind the Black Tiger.

The monster army passed by me and thousands of hunters followed after.

The Black Tiger’s roar resonated throughout the battlefield.

The center of the Chungho Group’s formation tried to hold up somehow but the last remaining morale disappeared at the Black Tiger’s roar.

“Ahh! Save me!”

Someone started running away after throwing away their sword. A spear flew in and stabbed his back.

One that was enduring while holding a shield got his head eaten by an eagle that swooped down from above. A guy holding a bow behind got his neck cut by a sword.

The center army’s sturdy looking formation started crumbling down in mere moments.

However, the Chungho Group was changing their formation to surround our army.

We had the advantage in the battle but there were too many Chungho Group members in the first place. If we got completely surrounded then our morale could take a hit.

I slightly turned my head to look at the base. However, they didn’t seem to have any thoughts on coming out after opening the wooden barricade. It probably meant they were look on for a bit longer.

I could imagine Joo Sae-yoon putting his brain to work.

They will only start moving once we are put at a disadvantage and start taking damage. He would then be able to take credit for it after all. He would be able to publicize that the government team was the lead from beginning to end after all.

That’s why, keep watching.

You guys won’t have a chance to stand out.

I jumped off the Black Tiger.

He roared loudly and shot off like a bolt of lightning. The left and right started becoming completely blocked and the retreat route was in the process of being blocked. To maintain this formation, the best method was to penetrate the center.

As I got off, the Black Tiger started rampaging like a bull in a china shop.

Our side had the advantage currently. However, the tremendous forces of the Chungho Group continuously blocked the way no matter how many were killed. There was no end to the enemies but stamina was not infinite. The enemy was better at tactical movements too.

I quickly made a decision.

I had to capture the main leader moving the Chungho Group to end this battle easily.

I called the Dancing Sword to jump into the air.

As I was in midair, arrows came flying from everywhere. I appropriately deflected the arrows as I looked around.

I could spot the Chungho Group executives who were actively giving out orders.

However, what I wanted wasn’t a middle level executive.

The brain. I was planning on getting rid of the one that was moving this formation like his own limbs.

Found him.

A middle aged man wearing a roman helmet with red decoration thread.

He had a sword drawn out and controlling the formation in a loud voice.

However, I was not able to approach because of the arrows. No matter how much I deflected, it couldn’t be helped that I would become a target while in midair.

It was even more impossible to pass through the human wall though.

At that moment, a huge white curtain spread in front of me.

The arrows that were flying towards me lost their strength after hitting the curtain.

The identity of that was none other than spider webs.

Soo-ah who had blocked the origin of the arrow attacks came towards me as she walked in the air.

“What are you doing? Being an arrow receiver?”

“I’m going to get the leader.”

“Huh. Let me go with you.”

Soo-ah held up her hand. This girl was the same as always even in the middle of a battlefield.

A laugh escaped my mouth.

“Follow properly on your own.”

I kicked off the Dancing Sword as I crossed the air and flew.

Soo-ah ran across the sky behind.

“Block!”

The general wearing the roman helmet shouted loudly.

The archers that only then regained themselves shot arrows.

However, the arrows that came straight forward were caught in Soo-ah’s spider webs and lost their strength. The arrows with explosion, fire, lightning, or any magical effect on them did not explode.

Once they realized that arrows didn’t work they immediately poured down magic.

“Cheh. I guess this won’t work…….”

Soo-ah was busy evading, knowing that it was impossible to block with the spider webs.

I also evaded the magic with the Dancing Sword.

There were less projectiles than arrows and they were slower too.

The moment I was thinking it was easy to evade, a bunch of golden light covered me.

Momentarily, my sight blurred as I got sleepy.

“Focus!”

Slap!

Soo-ah slapped my bottom. I woke up instantly as I turned my head. Soo-ah shouted at me as an ice spear grazed my face.

“Why is it the butt of all places!”

“I shouldn’t miss my chance!”

Soo-ah laughed as she went faster than me towards the enemy leader.

3 hunters with shield stood in front of her who penetrated in.

They were all level 6 hunters.

Thor’s Hammer that Soo-ah was holding smashed into their shields but they didn’t fall over.

“Cheh!”

“Just block the ambushes!”

I, who arrived late, sent my Dancing Sword.

Boom!

The shields shattered at the Dancing Sword that had Aura Blade on it.

However, other shield users appeared behind them. The one that seemed to be the leader couldn’t be seen.

A situation where we had jumped into the middle of the enemy’s base. The surroundings were monochronically Chungho Group members.

Hunters holding shields in the front.

The ones around surrounding us were guys holding spears and swords.

I took out Kelby who I had kept in the item list.

Growl!

Kelby who instantly got larger ran towards the enemies. His growth points were over 50. In terms of level here was somewhere around 6 or 7 but he had the abilities of the items he had eaten until now.

Defense +140%

Reflex +200%

Endurance +75%

Concentration +30

Stamina Absorption +15%

Damage Reflection +50%

Short Distance Teleportation 15M

Clone Creation

Sight Strengthening

…….

He who had many additional abilities to the point that writing them on a page of a notebook wouldn’t be enough, immediately jumped into the midst of the enemies.

Also, the best ability against a large number was the damage reflection. Half of the damage on him would be put on the enemy.

“Kuhk!”

“Ahh! Damn it!”

“What is it! This!”

The ones that struck down with their swords had their hands ripped up while those that stabbed with spears had their bones broken.

As Kelby started rampaging the encircling net got thinner. The low level hunters couldn’t even attack while the high levels received great injuries due to the damage reflection.

It was the effect of the stacked buffs from eating all those items.

If they attacked while putting up with the damage Kelby wouldn’t have lasted long but the Chungho Group backed away and couldn’t attack easily. It took quite a bit of courage to attack knowing that you would receive damage the moment you attacked.

I sent the Dancing Sword to the shield users.

A large shield that could cover one’s entire body shattered as several hunter got pushed back.

“Damn it all!”

“What kind of!”

“Throw your body if you have to, to block it!”

Kelby, Soo-ah, and I started stir up the middle of the enemy’s base.

The sword penetrated the enemies as it drew a large circle.

Dozens of people died off at once. Armor was like a piece of paper in front of Aura Blade. Swords that collided broke and shields were cut through.

Everytime the Dancing Sword danced several necks went flying.

However, the enemies endlessly blocked us.

The moment I started thinking it would be difficult to catch the enemy general at this rate.

Vroom!

A van came penetrating the siege.

“Ahh!”

“Avoid it!”

The rampaging van mercilessly ran over the Chungho Group troops and came here.

Scree!

The break was stepped on as the van noisily came to a stop.

“Nice timing!”

While Soo-ah and I were riding going in through the back door.

Swords and spears, magic and arrows flew towards the van.

The van shook greatly.

Even if I didn’t know exactly, the repair cost will be immense.

Soo-ah shut her ears as she shouted.

“How much can it endure?”

“It should be able to endure up to level 5 attacks. It will become a problem once the damage stacks though.”

“Then we’re going!”

Cho Young-gu shouted as he stepped on the axel.

The van shot forward like a cannonball. It was acceleration high enough to be comparable to a sports car.

Kelby ran in front of the van. The one he was chasing was none other than the Chungho Group leader.

He was a guy that had an outstanding sense of smell so we probably just had to follow him.
