Bully Lord

Part-251

James turned to Toya, who was still casting annoyed glances at her grandmother. “What do you think?” Her grandmother asked gently.

Toya looked at him, her expression conflicted. “I never thought you would do something that could harm me, and I still believe that,” she said, her voice trembling slightly. “But if this is what it takes to keep me safe, then I’ll agree to pretend I’m dating that brute and foolish man(James). I’m putting my full trust in you, Grandma.”

Joya smiled warmly at her granddaughter, her eyes glistening with pride. “Thank you both for trusting me. This will be challenging, but together we can navigate through it.”

Toya sighed, her shoulders drooping as the weight of the situation settled upon her. “I just hope it doesn’t get out of hand,” she said softly.

“I’ll be there for you,” James assured her, his voice steady. “We’ll make this work.”

Toya gave him a cold shoulder after hearing that. James then said, "I was joking. I'm just really pretending to be your boyfriend. I was just trying to lighten the mood."

Toya's face softened slightly, and she gave him a small smile. "I know," she said. "I was just testing you."

James laughed. "Good test. I passed."

Joya chuckled. "I'm glad to see you two are starting to get along."

The atmosphere in the room shifted as a sense of determination filled the air. Joya took a moment to collect her thoughts, then began outlining their plan. “First, we need to establish a believable façade. You two will need to act like a couple in school and in public. That means you’ll have to be seen together frequently and engage in activities that would make it look real.”

James nodded, already mentally preparing for the role he had agreed to take on. “What kind of activities do you suggest?”

“Well,” Joya said, leaning back thoughtfully, “maybe you could attend social events together, study together at school, and possibly go out for meals. The more genuine it looks, the better.”

Toya scoffed lightly. “Great, just what I need. Pretend to have a good time with someone I barely know.” But there was a hint of sarcasm in her tone, indicating she did not actually like the idea.

Toya was a proud and independent young woman, and she did not like the idea of being manipulated by her grandmother. She felt like she was being forced into doing something that she did not want to do, and she was not happy about it. She knew that her grandmother was only trying to protect her, but she felt like she was being treated like a child.

Toya was also worried about what Rakib would think of her if she started pretending to be in a relationship with James. She knew that Rakib was a dangerous man, and she was afraid that he would do something to her if he found out that she was trying to trick him.

Despite her reservations, Toya knew that she had to do what her grandmother asked her to do. She knew that she had no choice, and she was determined to make the best of the situation. She would try her best to be a good actress, and she would hope that Rakib would be fooled by her performance.
