Bully Lord

Part-249

Toya felt like she had been thrown under the bus, and she was not going to stand for it. She was determined to fight back against her grandmother's outrageous demand. She knew that she had to do something, or else she would be forever trapped in this nightmare. “Why him, though? Out of all people, why did you choose him?”

“Well, he's the one who helped us with the online scam, so I know we can trust him. Plus, you two go to the same school," Joya explained with a calm smile.

James decided to brush off his discomfort with Toya and downed his tea in one gulp, the cold liquid barely refreshing but providing him with a momentary distraction. He set the cup down and focused on Joya, his curiosity piqued. “Can you give me more details?” he asked, trying to piece together the situation. “I mean, Toya's father is a high-ranking police officer. It’s hard to believe that an ordinary stalker could pose a real threat to Toya.”

Mrs. Joya smiled at his astuteness. “You’re quite perceptive, aren’t you?” she said, her eyes twinkling. However, her expression quickly shifted as she sighed heavily. “But this isn’t just any ordinary situation. Toya’s father has a friend named Yacob, a politician. At a recent wedding, Yacob’s son, Rakib, spotted Toya and made it clear to his father that he wants to marry her.”

Mrs. Joya smiled at his astuteness. "You're quite perceptive, aren't you?" she said, her eyes twinkling. However, her expression quickly shifted as she sighed heavily. "But this isn't just any ordinary situation. Toya's father has a friend named Yacob, a politician who is known for his ruthless ambition and his willingness to do anything to achieve his goals. Yacob is a man of great influence, and he has a reputation for being feared and respected in equal measure. He is a man who is not afraid to use his power to get what he wants, and he has been known to be quite ruthless in his pursuit of his goals. At a recent wedding, Yacob’s son, Rakib, spotted Toya and made it clear to his father that he wants to marry her."

James glanced at Toya, noticing the way her brows knitted together and her gaze drifted to the floor, avoiding eye contact. “That’s child marriage! Toya is a teenager, and the legal age for marriage is 18,” he protested, his voice rising slightly.

Joya waved her hand dismissively. “That isn’t the main issue here,” she said. “Rakib is not a good person. He exploits his father’s name to get away with all sorts of wrongdoing. If Toya’s father, Qadir, weren’t a policeman, he would have already forced her into marriage.”

She looked at James angry face and continued, "Yacob's son, Rakib, is a spoiled and entitled young man who has been raised to believe that he is entitled to whatever he wants. He is a man of great privilege, and he has never had to work a day in his life. He is used to getting whatever he wants, and he is not afraid to use his father's influence to get his way. Rakib is a dangerous man, and he is capable of doing great harm.
