Chapter 76: Where is everyone?

After charging the dormitory, Ning Chu followed Wen Yang out of the Service Center.

As soon as they stepped outside, he spotted a tall, full-figured, cool and aloof young lady descending the stairs right across from them, cradling two books in her arms.

His face instantly turned vigilant, his gaze locked onto the icy beauty until she finally left the Teaching Building, and he let out a sigh of relief.

That was the only succubus in class, a stoic girl who had a complicated plot with Wen Yang.

Seems like that plot hasn’t been triggered yet.

Ning Chu turned to Wen Yang, only to see him distractedly typing on his phone. He quickly leaned over, trying to sneak a peek.

A faint fragrance of a girl quickly alerted Wen Yang, who instinctively hid his phone screen and looked up to find Ning Chu’s vigilant expression.

“Who are you chatting with?”

“Uh… someone asked me to play basketball in the Gym.” His voice faltered, eyes shifting uncomfortably.

Ning Chu narrowed his eyes. “Who?”

“Uh…”

After a brief hesitation, Wen Yang attempted to change the subject. “I just want to exercise, my energy’s been too high lately.”

Too much energy?

Ning Chu was baffled. “Male or female?”

“Female, female…”

“I’ll go check it out too. It’s been so long since school started, and I haven’t been to the Gym yet.”

“Okay.”

These bad women are really annoying! Plus, Wen Yang suddenly seems desperate to find a girlfriend; he’s unable to handle pretty girls inviting him out.

Maybe he knows it’s incredibly immoral! Unconscionable! Going against societal values to have feelings for a male roommate, so he’s anxious to find a girlfriend?

It can’t really be because Wen Yang’s parents are pressuring him to get married, right?

Ning Chu couldn’t be bothered to think too much; anyway, the most important thing was to disrupt the plot. Next was to reduce Wen Yang’s affection toward him to avoid any plot developments before he turned into a girl.

The gymnasium was located on the east side of the Teaching Building. They took a shortcut through a little garden, and a warehouse-like gym came into view.

It was Ning Chu’s first time here, and he curiously looked around.

The area was somewhat desolate, with the trees along the path only reaching waist height, clearly part of a newly developed section of the school. In the distance, he spotted dense shrubbery—a likely hideout for many couples.

Definitely can’t come here at night! Otherwise, he’d stumble across too many lovebirds making out.

Curious and looking around, Ning Chu walked into the gym.

Since it was noon and there were afternoon classes, only a handful of students were scattered throughout the gym.

As Ning Chu scanned the area, his eyes quickly caught sight of today’s fox spirit.

Of course, it’s her! The private basketball coach! Shan Shan!

Shan Shan had been waiting on the court for some time. Upon spotting Wen Yang entering, her eyes lit up, but they quickly darkened when she noticed Ning Chu trailing behind.

She was eager to greet them but remembered that her straightforward approach in the morning seemed to have repulsed Wen Yang, so she feigned modesty, pretending not to see them and played with her phone, occasionally glancing at them.

“Her again? I told you, she’s definitely not a good woman.” Ning Chu frowned, glaring at Shan Shan’s silhouette. “Aren’t you afraid of being scammed? A private basketball lesson costs a lot!”

Wen Yang’s face flushed slightly, stammering, “But you can’t judge someone by first impressions… she explained it to me; she doesn’t charge.”

“She just forgot this morning because she was in a rush; it wasn’t on purpose.”

Got it, you’ve got some lustful thoughts!

A girl can forget to wear underwear when heading out?! Clearly trying to seduce you!

It’s not that Wen Yang is naive because he’s a virgin; he’s probably just infatuated with her body!

Ning Chu finally understood, then suddenly seized Wen Yang’s arm, turning away and firmly dragging him out of the gym.

“Delete her from your friends list when we get back! No more contact!”

Ning Chu kept rambling on, dragging Wen Yang’s arm without looking back. After walking a good distance from the gym, he turned to look at Wen Yang with an angry yet expectant expression.

Are you mad? You must be mad!

Yet, Wen Yang still looked utterly confused, scratching his head, mumbling, “I think she’s pretty nice…”

Haha! After all, she’s been through countless men; especially someone like you, a little virgin, she can easily play with!

Ning Chu maintained a stern expression. The girls in the plot either tried straightforward advances or were twisted and manipulative, and this time he encountered a skilled, persistent schemer!

A significant crisis!

If he gives Shan Shan even a little chance, Wen Yang’s virginity might be compromised.

Seeing that Wen Yang showed no signs of rejection or anger, Ning Chu became even angrier.

“Let’s go! Back to the dorm! You’re just out here attracting bees and butterflies every day!”

“I didn’t mean to…” Wen Yang grumbled, glancing back at the gym with some reluctance.

“Still looking!”

He hurried to catch up with Ning Chu, secretly glancing at her furious expression, and instantly felt more guilty.

Shan Shan gathered her long hair at the back of her head, her movements elegant and gentle. She raised her arms high, straightening her slender waist, flaunting her curves to everyone. With a flirtatious demeanor, she leisurely tied her hair into a suitable ponytail for exercise.

Shan Shan brushed the falling strands of hair behind her, guessing that Wen Yang should have arrived at the court by now.

Only then did she turn around, feigning surprise as if only just noticing Wen Yang…

“Where is everyone?”
