Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 64

Chapter 64. Such a Big Appetite?

“Just take some medicine and rest. If your fever doesn’t go down by this afternoon, go to the hospital for an examination.”

The middle-aged school doctor, expressionless, finished a basic check-up on Ning Chu and continued, “Your tonsils are a bit inflamed, so be careful these days. I’ll prepare the medicine; take it after meals, and I’ll write the dosage on the bag.”

“How much?” Wen Yang asked nervously.

“The school medical room is free.”

Ning Chu still looked a bit wilted, his head drooping as he leaned on Wen Yang’s shoulder, looking like he just woke up from a deep slumber.

He was really struggling; the fatigue and weakness from the high fever made it hard for him to control his behavior.

“After we get the medicine, we’ll go to the cafeteria to eat.”

“I don’t have an appetite…”

“You should eat something. How about porridge?”

The school doctor gathered the medicine, filled the bags with the right doses, and reminded Wen Yang, “Porridge isn’t nutritious; let him eat more eggs, meat, and milk.”

“Oh, okay.”

“Eat something light.”

I must say, the school doctor was dedicated to his job and didn’t even charge any fees.

If this school weren’t the main stage of Small Royal Text, filled with chaotic and corrupt events, it would actually be quite nice.

Before leaving, Ning Chu suddenly remembered Zhang Shaoqing.

He turned around and asked the doctor, who was sipping tea, “Does our school have psychological counseling? My roommate just got dumped and isn’t in a good state.”

“Yes, on the second floor.”

“Thanks, teacher.”

Ning Chu sighed in relief. If possible, it would be best to take Zhang Shaoqing in for a psychological check-up. As he walked out of the medical room, he looked down and saw Wen Yang already squatting at the door.

His mouth twitched; even though his body was indeed soft and powerless, he didn’t want to be treated like a porcelain doll.

With a helpless sigh, he leaned against Wen Yang’s neck once more.

Having such a good relationship was really troublesome…

But since the plot hadn’t really started, he still needed a good relationship to mold Wen Yang.

Once all the plots were over! He would sever ties with Wen Yang!

Leaning on Wen Yang’s shoulder, Ning Chu was actually trying hard to sit up straight, not wanting that small dumpling (hint: his chest) to press against Wen Yang’s back.

But the bumps made him unconsciously choose the safest option; within a few steps, he was tightly hugging Wen Yang’s neck, pressing against his back.

The rain had become much lighter since they left, and Wen Yang carefully stepped over the puddles as he carried Ning Chu to the cafeteria door.

Knowing his shy roommate, Wen Yang squatted down and gently set Ning Chu down.

He instinctively stole a glance at Ning Chu’s small butt and thighs.

Compared to mature women, his roommate’s butt was still a bit immature, but it was small, full, and perky. The feeling of accidentally touching it earlier almost made him want to squeeze it.

Ning Chu was still dazed from his high fever and didn’t notice Wen Yang’s gaze. He lacked energy and floated into the cafeteria like a lost soul, finding an empty table and immediately sitting down, resting his face on the surface.

Thanks to the rain and the holiday, there weren’t many students in the cafeteria even at mealtime.

He lay there, and soon fell into a half-asleep state.

“I’ll go get the food; wait for me…”

Wen Yang was about to leave when he saw Ning Chu had already closed his eyes, letting out a helpless sigh, “How did you get sick?”

Even though Ning Chu had a sickly yet adorable aura when ill, it was still worrying.

While getting the food, Wen Yang frequently glanced back at Ning Chu’s direction, afraid his roommate might disappear. Luckily, there were no students lining up at the counters, so he grabbed a few random dishes and hurriedly sat down across from Ning Chu.

“Wake up, it’s lunchtime.” Wen Yang gently nudged Ning Chu’s shoulder. “You have to eat and take your medicine afterward.”

“Mm… I know.”

Ning Chu’s lips moved slightly, his response muffled. His small face was flushed, so Wen Yang couldn’t help but give it a gentle pinch when he withdrew his hand.

“Are you sick or something?!”

This fully woke Ning Chu up; he blinked, then yawned lethargically, “I’m just out of energy…”

“Eat, take your medicine, then go back to sleep.”

“Got it.”

He supported his chin with one hand, as if his head needed his arm’s strength to stay up. With hardly any appetite, he ate a little and soon got lost in thought, yawning again.

“Done eating?”

“Just eat yours; I don’t want any.”

Ning Chu pushed his plate over and then rested his chin in both hands, staring blankly at the cafeteria wall.

“Everyone’s encouraging a clean plate; promote saving and frugality.”

After a glance, his gaze landed back on Wen Yang.

He wasn’t exactly wasting food—Wen Yang was big and ate more; whatever Ning Chu left over would definitely be cleaned up by him.

“Wen Yang, what’s it like to be liked by girls and pursued?” Ning Chu suddenly asked.

“Ah? It’s fine, I guess? Not much of an experience.”

“I envy you a bit~”

Wen Yang was caught off guard, chuckling helplessly, “You’re not trying to keep me from going on dates out of envy, are you?”

“A little bit.” Ning Chu pinched his fingers to demonstrate a tiny gap. “But that’s not the main reason.”

“Then what is the main reason?”

“I can’t say.”

Seeing Ning Chu’s shifty eyes and lowered head, Wen Yang, a man who was often pursued by girls and overly confident, couldn’t help but think deeper.

That flushed face from the fever might just be hiding a shy emotion.

Could it be that Ning Chu really liked him? Just couldn’t find the words?

Before, it was just speculation and doubt, but Ning Chu’s words today sounded like those of a shy girl wanting to confess but couldn’t.

Maybe Ning Chu really is a girl?

His gaze fell on the early signs of development on Ning Chu’s chest, the pleasant softness he felt when carrying Ning Chu still lingering in his mind.

“So tired~” Ning Chu laid his head on the table.

Every day he had to be wary of the bad women around Wen Yang and worry about Zhang Shaoqing’s potential villain transformation; he wasn’t just a student—he was also a patrol leader and psychological counselor. Plus, he had to face the pressure of becoming more feminine and could get lost in the danger of becoming too confused to tell boys apart.

Why didn’t he transmigrate as the main character?

“Then I’ll eat faster.”

“Yo~ Out here living it up, going on dates and eating while I’m not around?”

A familiar and annoying voice drifted in from the cafeteria entrance.

Ning Chu instantly woke up, excitedly looking up, “Shaoqing! Where have you been?!”

“I woke up too early and had nothing to do, so I took the car out for a drive.” Zhang Shaoqing twirled a car key on his finger. “Why is your face so red? Feverish?”

Ignoring his fatigue, Ning Chu happily leaned in closer, looking up at Zhang Shaoqing’s annoying smirk.

“You dyed your hair black again?!”

“This is saying goodbye to the past!”

“Looks good! A lot more handsome!”

Wen Yang stopped eating, watching Ning Chu’s joyful display around Zhang Shaoqing, a hint of confusion and uncontrollable disappointment bubbling up in his mind.

Could it be, he actually liked Zhang Shaoqing?

Such a big appetite?
