The woman Kai greeted as mother could be described as a mature beauty, one you would see in a million years. The phrase 'Beauty to Bring Down Kingdoms' was too little for her. The perfect Japanese features on her face, be it her thin nose, long eyelashes or flawless skin, all contributed to demonstrate the woman's great beauty. Her phenomenal and proportionate body was covered by a long dress, which didn't expose much of the married woman.

"How is my baby?" Kai's mother spoke as she ran her hand over his chin and analyzed all the changes she noticed, "You are taller. Did you put on a contact lens too?" Her hand running through his hair also indicated that she noticed the change of hair more shiny.

"No, mother. I just happen to be naturally handsome like that..." Kai tried to be humble but failed miserably. After receiving a kiss on the cheek, he returned to Chifuyu.

"Sorry for showing up so suddenly. I understand that you must be nervous, but you don't have to." Kai's mother walked up to the two and took Chifuyu's hands, who looked at her anxiously, "My name is Kasumi Nakashima, mother of that little boy beside you."

"My name is Tsuki- wait! Kasumi Nakashima?? As in the founder of Fass?!" Chifuyu felt dizzy for a moment as she connected the dots and soon realized who she was actually talking to.

"I see you already know me." Kasumi smiled looking at the girl, finding her very cute, "But I still don't know your name correctly... Tsuki?"

"T-Tsukimi Chifuyu, Mrs Nakashima! I'm a huge fan of you and your work!" Chifuyu was on the verge of fainting and had to hold Kai tight so she wouldn't embarrass herself in front of her mother-in-law and idol. 'Wait, mother-in-law?'

"Well, Miss Tsukimi. I appreciate that you are my fan, and it's great to know that my son has good taste. Come on, dinner will be served soon and you'll sit with us." Kasumi was finding this girl of hers more and more interesting, giving Kai glances every now and then to show her approval.

Knowing that his mother wouldn't let Tsukimi slip under the radar anymore, he swallowed hard and knew he needed to readjust his plans...

Everyone was already in a huge dining room, every table being served while only the most distinguished members of the fashion world continued to participate. The two hour fashion show was to make contacts and increase the connections of the participants. But at dinnertime after the show, it was no longer necessary to make connections, but just enjoy the night in the most spectacular way the hotel could provide.

At the central table, where only the Nakashima family and their closest relatives and dearest employees were seated, dinner had already been served and everyone was talking about various subjects. As he hadn't seen his mother for a long time, Kai was forced to sit next to her while Chifuyu sat next to him.

He was drinking a glass of champagne while Chifuyu was enjoying dessert, and a glass of non-alcoholic fruity wine was served in a glass for her as well.

"So, on to the main question of the night! Where was Kai??" Kenji raised his glass just like that and got everyone's attention.

As most were family members, everyone was used to each other and already knew about the brothers' passive-aggressive relationship. And that was just when the two of them were there, when his other brother joined, everyone was forced to remove knives, forks, glasses and firearms from the place.

"Why don't you guess? Aren't you the information guy?" Kai replied as he swirled the champagne in his glass.

"I'm sorry if I can't say such accurate information, since unlike a certain someone, I was helping my dear little sister to go up in the stock market..." Kenji retorted masterfully and looked directly at Kai.

"Helping Kiara? And what else have you done besides selling some stocks? I don't recall you being on any of her design releases." Kai drank the entire contents of the cup and placed it on the table. Chifuyu looked at him and wondered if he liked to drink champagne, unconsciously keeping that information in mind.

"And you were in them?" Kiara asked as she looked deeply at her brother. She, nor anyone else, knew why Kai was gone for 1 month, right before school break. But knowing he was always there filled her with joy. Despite being older than him, she acted like a little sister.

"Milan, Paris, New York, Madrid. I've been to every release. Besides, I was the one who traded most of that asshole's stock. So you owe me about five million dollars worth of stock, you phony dealer."

Kai's words caused most of the people at the table to gasp and stifle their laughter. After all, they were all very well educated people. Chifuyu, on the other hand, was looking at the interaction, not knowing how to react and just being shocked by everything, also not understanding about Kai's "vacation".

"Alright, that's enough. Behave yourselves at the table, children. Tonight is for Kiara to stand out, not you two." Kasumi was also wanting to laugh at the conversation between her children, but she decided not to show favoritism. She loved Kai very much, but she couldn't show it to her other children.

Not to mention, as a mother, she knew why her kids discussed it at this time. Kiara has always been shown to be a more reserved girl, and this has led to her being treated like a little sister by her brothers, despite the fact that she is Kasumi's second oldest daughter. After avoiding a public murder, the rest of the night passed quietly between conversations. Chifuyu finally learned that Kiara was the designer and founder of Square & Cloud, and it made sense that she wanted to honor her mother on her company anniversary, while also being honored for her meteoric rise.

The whole time Chifuyu stayed close to Kai, whether during conversations or when they walked through the gardens on the top floor of the hotel. She didn't even realize that the whole time she was holding hands with him and acting like his girlfriend without knowing it.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, my dear." Kasumi held Tsukimi's hands and spoke while smiling at her, "You are always welcome in our studio, and Kai will give you my number and Kiara's. When you want to talk to us, just call."

"Thank you very much, Mrs. Nakashima-" Chifuyu smiled in thanks and bowed slightly to her, but Kasumi suddenly cut her off.

"Don't call me Mrs. Nakashima, you can call me Mom. Come on, I'll walk you out there." Shaking hands with her daughter-in-law, Kasumi didn't give her a chance to refuse and walked into the lobby.

Kai didn't miss the wink his mother gave him, and he didn't know whether to cry or laugh at the situation. His own mother playing matchmaker like that.

After parking the car on a street near Chifuyu's house, the two got out and walked. The street of her house was not allowed to pass vehicles, so it was necessary to walk.

"What did you think of the night?" Kai asked after they had spent some time walking in silence.

"It was amazing! I didn't expect your mother to be Kasumi Nakashima... Although I should have reasoned it out when you both have the same last name..." Chifuyu blushed when she realized that it made sense from the beginning, but there was no way to make the association that simple.

"Well, I told you I understood fashion. You're the one who didn't believe it." Kai used the hand that was holding hers to lightly pat her.

"Pfft! I really don't doubt you now!" Chifuyu chuckled, easing all the tension from the night. She looked up at the bright moon in the sky and then at the side profile of Kai's face. Her heart beat a lot faster, and her cheeks flushed.

When they arrived in front of her house, it looked like they were reaching the end of the road.

"So that's it... Thanks for the night..." Chifuyu was too shy to look directly at Kai, so she just lowered her head slightly. She was still holding his hand, her other hand not knowing what to do.

"Don't worry about that. And also, I would like to apologize for my family being so direct. They didn't give you chances to deny a lot of things." With a slightly troubled look, he said feigning guilt.

"No no, no need to bother! Your mother is sweet and everyone was very kind to me! Everything was very good." Noticing Kai's tone of voice, she thought she had hurt him. For him to understand her discomfort meant that she didn't want to be called his girlfriend. And if he noticed, the others certainly did.

"Everything is fine. Have a good night..." Kai just waved at her, already turning to leave.

"Kai..." Chifuyu felt bad at his expression, looking sad that she didn't want to be his girlfriend. But that wasn't it! 'How am I supposed to just say I want to be your girlfriend? Aaaah! You're forcing me here!'

With a determined look, Chifuyu pulled the collar of Kai's shirt, causing him to lean forward, coming face to face with her.

"You're the one who has to take the i-initiative..." She tried her best to squeeze those words out, her heart almost bursting out of her mouth. But it only took one look at the smile on Kai's face to know she'd been fooled.

"I know!"

Without further ado, Kai captured Chifuyu's lips, causing the girl to burst with redness. Her fidgety hands didn't know what to do, her inexperience quite obvious in the kiss.

But with calm and patience, Kai taught her in practice how everything worked. Her soft lips wanting to capture more of the strong sensation that was his. Chifuyu found herself lost in moments in the sensation of that kiss, a shiver rising through her body when she felt Kai's touches on her waist.

"You're really cute, you know?" Kai spoke in her ear as he started kissing her neck. Chifuyu didn't answer, just biting her lips at the feeling of pleasure that coursed through her.

It didn't take long for her to pull Kai back into the kiss, wanting to taste more of it. Her little tongue wanted to slip into his mouth, but she looked unsure about it, not wanting to be too bold. But he understood that and helped her well. Their tongues crossed as they tasted each one.

Chifuyu was already fully supported by Kai, her hands wrapped around his neck. But since he was much taller than her, he had to lean against the wall of his house to get to an acceptable height. This had her lying between his legs, the two of them feeling each other's heat.

After a few minutes of kissing, the two suddenly separated when Tsukimi heard the door of her house opening.

Time flew by as Kai trained and maintained his relationships with all the girls. Since not everyone would accept the monogamous relationship instantly, he had to have different tricks to keep them from clashing.

Madoka, Aki, Kyou and Kaede already knew that he was a real scoundrel and already resigned to it. It took nights of intense sex to get their forgiveness, but since Kaede still hadn't had sex with him, the requests were more for more intimate moments and blowjobs. Every other week Kai would show up there with a different gift for Mitsuru and spend time with the girls. Other interactions with the girls, such as Akane and Haruka in his office, or Aoi when they rarely see each other. Kaori also often chatted with him, even calling him sometimes when she plucked up the courage to call.
