The chapters alternate between Freudian internal dialogues and the actual narrative, blending psychological depth with the external struggles of adapting to a society where emotions are a dangerous luxury.
Inspiration: I had the idea of writing this book after reading a combo of Orwell, Kafka and the psychological “nonsense” from Beckett. This slow-burn narrative balances reflective, slice-of-life moments with intense action and character-driven growth. As the characters navigate their decaying reality, they confront not just external threats but also their internal struggles, grappling with the cost of survival in a world that demands personal compromises.
The Unfeeling invites readers to reflect on the sacrifices we make as we adapt to societal pressures, and the emotional scars left behind as we shed pieces of who we once were.
