Chapter 265 The Missing Crookshanks

Chapter 265 The Missing Crookshanks

Since Allen went to the Ministry of Magic, Harry, Ron and Hermione tried to act together, although Hermione often disappeared and appeared inexplicably.

They all carried a magic scroll made by Allen with them.

"Why hasn't Alan come back yet? Does it take so long to register as an Animagus? It's been 5 days." Harry swallowed a mouthful of food and said, they were having lunch.

"That's right! Allen's going to Animagus will be published in the "Daily Prophet", but there is no such news in the newspapers in recent days." Ron put down a copy of today's "Daily Prophet" in doubt said.

"Is something wrong?" Harry asked worriedly.

"What could happen to the Ministry of Magic? My dad wrote me a few days ago saying he's got Alan at the Ministry of Magic, don't worry." Ron stuffed his mouth with food.

"Okay." Harry adjusted his glasses, and then he noticed that Hermione hadn't spoken, looking restless.

"Hermione, what's wrong with you?" Harry asked concerned.

"Nothing—" Hermione snapped back to herself, she hesitated, and then said, "Did you see Crookshanks?"

"Crookshanks? No? What happened to Crookshanks?" Harry asked in surprise.

"I haven't seen Crookshanks since yesterday morning," Hermione whispered, her expression flustered.

"That Scabbers will be safe, that silly cat made Scabbers sick." Ron said indifferently.

"How can you talk like that!" Hermione was furious.

"What did I say? Am I wrong?" Ron's stubbornness also came up, and he said with his neck stuck.

"Okay, stop arguing, the most important thing now is to find Crookshanks." Harry forcefully stopped the quarrel between Ron and Hermione, "Let's ask around, maybe the portrait and the ghost noticed Crookshanks." What about Crookshanks, Crookshanks is a smart kid, he'll be fine." Harry reassured Hermione.

"I remember that before Allen left, we seemed to see the shadow of a cat on the Quidditch pitch outside the castle. It looked very like Crookshanks." Ron said suddenly.

"Almost half a month has passed since that incident, and Crookshanks just disappeared yesterday." Harry said.

"I mean Crookshanks probably slipped out of the castle and went to play in the Forbidden Forest." Ron shrugged. "The Forbidden Forest is very dangerous."

Then he couldn't go on, and he saw Hermione's tears welling up in her eyes, soaking her robes.
"I didn't mean that. I meant." Ron panicked now, explaining incoherently.

Hermione lay on the table, buried her head in her arms, shrugged her shoulders, and heard her crying from her arms.
"It's all because I've been too busy recently and didn't take much care of Crookshanks. When I found out that it was missing, I had already lost my last chance to save it." Hermione's voice became very dull.

Harry gave Ron a reproachful look, and Ron showed a embarrassed expression.

"It's okay, what Ron and I saw that day may not be Crookshanks, there are quite a lot of wild cats around the castle." Harry continued to comfort Hermione, "Let's help you find Crookshanks together."

Harry poked Ron quietly under the table, and Ron hurriedly echoed Harry.

Hermione stopped crying.
They used their spare time in the afternoon to inquire about Crookshanks from the portraits and ghosts in the castle, but they found nothing.

Hermione's face was getting worse and worse.

But they have nothing to do.

They searched for several days and found out the whereabouts of Crookshanks.
At the same time, Allen at the Ministry of Magic finally met Minister Fudge.

Minister Fudge still looked fat, and the public opinion and government affairs that made him burnt out didn't seem to affect his mood and appetite.

However, Allen saw Fudge return to the Ministry of Magic in the crowd, and Fudge also saw Allen. Fudge's eyes stayed on him for a while and then moved away, and then he was surrounded by the crowd and went directly to the minister on the first basement floor office.

Allen knew that he was a complete tool man now, and Fudge no longer wanted to hide his attitude towards him.

But Alan can't help it, people are under the eaves.

But on the second day after Fudge came back, he met Allen. Although Fudge was all smiles, he kindly asked about his recent life.

Alan braces himself for Fudge's uninspiring talk.

Fortunately, the conversation ended quickly, and his Animagus registration was scheduled for that afternoon.

The Wizengamot and Auror Command combined to form a temporary agency to handle the registration of Alan Animagus.

The registration process is very simple, that is, transforming into an Animagus form to allow the wizards of the Ministry of Magic to record various characteristics.

Presiding over Alan's registration was an old wizard wearing a fuchsia robe with a delicate silver "W" embroidered on his left chest, and a middle-aged wizard who looked like an Auror at first glance.

They carefully recorded the various characteristics of Alan's panda form.

Allen always felt that the middle-aged Auror was always looking at him with vigilant eyes, as if he was looking at a potential criminal.

This made Allen a little confused.

The whole process was completed quickly, and when Allen thought he was about to be liberated, he was asked to go to the main hall on the eighth basement floor.

When Allen arrived at the main hall, he found that there were many wizards in the main hall. Allen also saw several wizards who were obviously reporters, and Rita Skeeter was among them.

A small raised platform was erected in front of the Magic Brothers fountain, and Minister Fudge was standing on it, accepting interviews from reporters with a smile.

The camera's flash blazed continuously, producing puffs of smoke.

When Fudge saw Alan, he immediately waved to him and asked him to come up to the high platform, and Alan walked up reluctantly.

Fudge put his arms around his shoulders affectionately and smiled broadly at the crowd.

He also turned Alan into an Animagus form, which Alan reluctantly did. In this case, the Minister of Magic had to give some face.

The appearance of the panda makes the camera flash more frequently. Everyone is very interested in the panda, and the appearance of the panda makes them very satisfied.

It made Allen feel like a clown.

Then Fudge delivered another impassioned speech, in which he regarded Alan's current achievements as his political achievements, which was the result of his hard work on the education of little wizards.

Hearing that, Allen was very embarrassed, and he didn't have a nutritious word after speaking for a long time.

But the wizards below were very supportive and gave Fudge a warm applause.

In the end, Fudge announced that because of Alan's achievements in magic research, he was considering applying to the Wizengamot for a third-class Medal of the Order of Merlin for Alan, which aroused warm applause from the crowd.
