Max had a hunch about why Philip and Sofia were so persistent. 'I assume they believe that whatever they are offering is something I cannot refuse,' he thought.

While thinking about this, Lucy jumped on his head and began playfully punching Max on the head with her soft, cotton-like fists.

Max saw how she was improving in controlling her newfound strength and felt a bit of the gloom lift from his face.

While Smiling he spoke.

"Little Lu, wait a little longer and I need you to hide in the bedroom. Will you do that for me, please".

Lucy nodded obediently and went to the bedroom.

Max wasn't worried that Philip, a regular human, might notice Lucy's rank, but being careful it's better for him. To not see her at all.

Phillip waited for Max's expression to change.

As he said that, Max gave Philip a meaningful look. He didn't know what Philip would understand from this look. Anyway, he just gave him a meaningful look for the sake of confusion.

Phillip had a look of realization on his face.

Max just nodded and handed Phillip a mobile phone.
