“Father, I handed this case over to you because my views would be objective.”
He nodded his head in agreement. Looking at them, he said, “This is my decree. Consort Kwon, you will be moved to the outside palace in Gaya. The King of Gaya will send his convoy in the morning. You will live there peacefully and not cause problems.”
“But your majesty.”
“I am speaking! You have disgraced my family, and I should have never allowed you in here! You must not forget that before Youxian is the Crown Prince’s consort, he is my godson! His father has been loyal to the crown since we were boys. Who are you to decide his death?”
Ae Cha clenched her hands, trembling in fear and rage.

He nodded, giving his approval.
Looking at his daughter, he said, “Youxia has been engaged to the Prince of Lekra since her third birthday.”
“What?” Changling growled.
Looking around at all the surprised gazes, Youxian smiled. “I agree. My daughter should follow the Crown Princess to the temple, but she should stay there until her sixteenth birthday. He’ll come fetch her after.”
“My child will not be marrying a savage!”
Looking at his husband, he said, “I already sent word that they are welcome to come and convince you, but it’s a fitting arrangement. She belongs with them, seeing that she can’t behave like a princess.”
Looking at her father, she had bewilderment written all over her face. ‘I am to marry the Lekranian Prince?’
