The Beast and the Sage

There's about be a small delay in my posting. I'd say about 4 days. This is for three reasons.

My writing schedule will not change, but my posting schedule will.

The first reason is a quality issue. One of the things I like to focus on is making sure dialogue feels natural. How I do this is combing over the work (over and over), and making small adjustments until it feels right. This often changes the tone or intent in some conversations, and sometimes, if only rarely, even a bit of the plot.

The process of combing it over often requires days of sitting on the work and dozens of rereads.

With the last chapter I've already chopped a lot of dialogue away, and I'm still not quite happy with certain parts. Some of you have probably already read it and perhaps noticed a shift in quality.

That's the main reason I am delaying. I want to sit on chapters a little longer before posting.

Another reason is how excited I am about writing the next couple (maybe 3) chapters. They've been planned out for quite a while and I have been looking forward to writing them.

I really do not want to put out unpolished chapters on those. I want them to be exactly how I have seen them in my head.

I'm also about to drop to posting only 2 chapters per week on RR and extra chapters per week on Patreon to build up a backlog.
