NOVEL FROG Ch 52. Trails of the Past
After thinking for a while, I decided to answer Phlum’s question.
“Let's follow the rabbit. Maybe we'll find something interesting.”
“Isn't it weird be following an animal through the forest? Well, I won't complain if we get to eat it later. Haha~”
“Do you really plan to cook it?!”
“Why shouldn't I? It looks delicious.”
The rabbit looked at us with a worried expression. It clearly knew what we were talking about.
We continued following the rabbit through the forest. But somehow it looked like it was keeping a bigger distance than before.
The forest became more and more dense and tangled with every step we made. Tangles, branches and undergrowth were hindering our steps and blocking our view of what was in front of us.
We were going through this harsh path, in our own adventure, but there was something around my mind, something that came since Phlum came back, and I still haven't asked her. I turned my sight to Phlum while starting to talk.
“Phlum… I need to ask you something.”
But as soon as I turned my sight to her, I ended up with an amazing view that ended up burnt in my retinas.
“Uh… Can you help me a little bit first, little human?”
Phlum was tangled with vines, hanging mid air. How did she end up like that?! But I’m not a man that would question something like that in this kind of situation, I'm a wise one. Instead, I ended up looking at every possible part of her body as long as I could.
Her shirt was shattered due to the harsh nature and she ended up showing her goods. But since parts of her breasts were covered in vines and leaves, they weren't totally exposed. Just the perfect amount to make this scene fairly erotic and in the same time able to be animated without problems.
Her legs were being squeezed by even more vines. Her face was blushing and her breathing was turning heavier with each second that passed.
“A-aren’t you going to help me!?”

A flustered Phlum shouted at me while wind blades came out from her body and cut the vines that were tangling her just a few seconds ago.
“Well, I was well aware of your capabilities. You are quite strong.”
“So you ended up just looking at the scene in front of you?”
“It was a rare one, so I thought that I should enjoy it as long as I could. Haha.”
“You…! Ladies want to be helped from time to time, even if we are strong…”
Through her blushed face, there were signs of a lot of different emotions. She was flustered, she was angry, she was sad and embarrassed. In the first place, how did she end up like that? And why did she ask for my help if she could simply get rid of the vines and continue? Maybe she really wanted me to help her.
With those thoughts in mind, I continued with the talk.
“I’m sorry, Phlum. I didn't know that you wanted me to help you… I mean, I was really worried for you when you disappeared…”
“You…”
“I missed you, Phlum. You were my first friend in this place… But I didn't know what to do! I even asked the Demon Lord about yourself but she didn't tell me anything!”
“Little human…”
There were a lot of things that I wanted to ask her, that I wanted to tell her, that I wanted her to know… But the knot on my throat and the tears that were about to flow from her eyes made me unable to keep going on. Instead, I made a dareful choice and I ended up just hugging her.
“Huh...?”
“I’m really sorry. I promise you that I’ll go and help you the next time. No matter what it takes…”
“...”
We continued like that for a while. I could feel her body even through my clothes. She was warm, and soft. Full of emotions and will to live.
After a few minutes, we decided to continue with our adventure. I ended up lending her my butler jacket and we continued our walk through the forest, but this time we were walking while holding hands.
Finally, we arrived at our destination, or it looked like that because the rabbit stopped right by the side of a mysterious magic circle.
“Maybe we should go inside?”
“But if we do that, we'll lose the rabbit…”
“Do you still want to cook it?!”
“Aren’t you forgetting about us?”
A familiar voice talked from behind us. Kirwha and Fynx were there.
“Oh, so you were the ones following us?”
It seemed like Phlum knew about them for a long time. Of course, I knew nothing about the following us.
“Uh?! How much time have you been there?”
“Oh, we just arrived. We were worried about you guys, so we decided to look for you. Fufu~”
“Something like that.”
“Anyways, shall we go? Fufu~”
Fynx said while pushing us all inside the circle, she looked eager for a new adventure.
A dim withe light enveloped ourselves while taking us somewhere else.
