Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 221: Wakanda and Superman

In another city's skies, although Robert was slightly affected by Wade's appearance, it didn't hinder him from continuing to attract demons nearby to gather and eliminate them. Compared to Wade, dealing with these demons was more urgent.

Apart from Wade, Robert didn't encounter any other trouble along the way. The demons attracted by the curse weren't challenging, with some slightly more powerful demons equivalent to the flame demon he encountered during the Sheep Talisman episode.

Even more powerful demons, like shape-shifters or succubi, weren't lured by the curse, so Robert's progress was relatively smooth.

However, Clark wasn't as lucky because he encountered some trouble. While attracting demons, he had given the European territory to Robert and headed to the vast African continent. However, during the process, Clark discovered a strange place.

The people here were notably stronger than those in other parts of Africa. What caught Clark's attention wasn't their strength but the fact that, despite appearing backward and impoverished, they wielded spears that could unleash energy attacks to combat demons!

A group of robust soldiers wielding spears managed to eliminate the demons on the spot with shouts of effort, causing Clark, who was prepared to help, to pause.

"Who's there?!" As Clark paused, a burly black man twitched his ears and looked up into the sky, spotting Clark's figure, "Superman?"

Given the living conditions Clark observed, there was no sign of modern technology, not even in their energy-releasing spears, which looked primitive. Yet, the burly black man recognized Clark immediately, indicating their close connection with the outside world.

"Hello, I'm here to help," Clark said, landing gently in front of the burly man and nodding. He wasn't interested in prying into why these seemingly backward people could use energy weapons, but since he was spotted, he felt obliged to greet them. Although here to help with the demons, it was, after all, their territory.

"Help? We in Wakanda need no assistance from outsiders! We can handle any danger ourselves!" However, the affinity that worked on most Kamar-Taj magicians had no effect on these people, who seemed even more repelled by Clark.

"Um..." Clark began, softly explaining, "These demons will keep appearing; they're not so easily dealt with. I need to clear out most of the demons on Earth. I mean no harm and won't pry into your secrets."

Clark understood their wariness might stem from fears he coveted the secrets behind their energy weapons. But for Clark, such weapons were of little interest; they were of no use to him, not being an ordinary human.

Moreover, Clark was not like the greedy American officials or S.H.I.E.L.D., who sought to control all power, desiring to seize any valuable discoveries...

Despite Clark's sincere thoughts and belief in his good intentions, the locals clearly disliked him, almost naturally repelling him, especially after sensing the divine glow about him.

Furthermore, Wakanda was well aware of the outside world's affairs, considering other countries greedy and ignorant compared to themselves, particularly since Clark's race and this land's people have not always been on friendly terms...

"Leave this place, Superman. In the eyes of those outsiders, you may be a deity, but here, you are nothing. We in Wakanda have our own gods to protect us. We don't need foreign deities interfering!" The burly man, holding his metal spear, pointed it at Clark with a stern voice.

"Hmm? Vibranium?" Clark glanced at the spear, his super vision immediately identifying the familiar metal. After all, a damaged Vibranium suit was still at the Kent farm, which Robert occasionally tried to damage to see if he could break Vibranium.

"Your intentions are not good!" However, Clark's comment made the already wary burly man jump to conclusions, unleashing an energy blast from his spear while shouting, "Form up, prepare for the enemy!"

With the burly man's commands, the other locals also shouted, launching energy lasers at Clark, while some charged at him with knives.

"Sigh," Clark, feeling a bit helpless, soared to avoid the lasers. While they couldn't harm him, he had no desire to fight these people.

Seeing their hostility as unchangeable, Clark decided to use the demon curse to attract hidden demons, intending to deal with them and leave without lingering.

"You won't escape!" However, as Clark took to the air, the locals continued to attack, their energy lasers chasing him. Fortunately, they couldn't catch up with Clark, who left those attempting to pursue him eating dust.

"What a heavy hostility. Is it because they harbor secrets? Never mind, I'll deal with the demons first!" Clark thought, shaking his head and releasing the demon curse's suppression, attracting demons to him.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!" Echoes filled Wakanda as Clark remained unaware that the burly man had reported his presence to the Wakandan king. King T'Chaka immediately began searching for Clark, informed that Clark's interest in Vibranium, Wakanda's foundational resource, was unacceptable.

"Hmm? Demons? Is he summoning them?" When T'Chaka saw Clark drawing demons with the curse, his expression changed drastically, ordering, "Royal Guard, assemble! Prepare for battle and seal Wakanda with the energy barrier. Don't let him escape!"

With T'Chaka's command, a massive energy barrier enveloped Wakanda, disappearing from the outside world's view.

"What's happening?" Clark, gathering the demons, was puzzled by the sudden barrier, especially when he realized he couldn't see outside anymore.

"Is their technology so advanced?" Clark murmured, his heat vision obliterating the gathered demons.

"What does this mean? He summoned those demons only to kill them?" T'Chaka frowned, confused by Clark's actions.

"Could we be mistaken?" T'Chaka's daughter, Princess Shuri, voiced her doubts, "Maybe he's here to deal with the demons, not for Vibranium?"

"Wakanda's demons don't need an outsider's help!" T'Chaka hardened his stance, regardless of Clark's true intentions. With Wakanda on high alert and tribal leaders ready to confront Clark, it wasn't feasible to claim Clark was there to help.

Moreover, from Wakanda's perspective, Clark, even if intending to solve a demon problem, was invading their territory.

As Wakandan warplanes and forces surrounded Clark, he realized their reaction to discovering Vibranium. In the outside world, Vibranium's value was astronomical, making it the most expensive metal.

Understanding their concerns, Clark sighed, "Honestly, I mean no harm. I won't speak of your secrets, you can trust me..."

"Superman, I advise you to surrender. Whether you'll spread the news needs further investigation," T'Chaka's stern voice echoed, prompting Clark to vanish, intending to leave and continue his mission without further delay.

As Clark disappeared, T'Chaka's pupils dilated. He had planned to confront Clark in his Black Panther suit but reconsidered upon witnessing Clark's speed.

This wasn't capitulation; it was prudence, a quality of a wise king.

With Clark gone and Wakanda on full alert, the misunderstanding deepened, setting the stage for future confrontations.
