Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1305: You Get a Piece, You Get a Piece, You Also Get a Piece!

Chapter 1305: You Get a Piece, You Get a Piece, You Also Get a Piece!

As the main territory of the Tongyou Institution, the You Continent has always been the focus of development.

It was especially so after Shang Xia entered the Six Direction Realm. The You Continent continued to expand and it had already surpassed 10,000 miles.

Moreover, the growth of the You Continent was different from the other continents. Shang Xia was able to fully control the growth of the You Continent, and when he returned to the Spirit Luxuriant World, his soul could encompass the entire continent and everything would happen with a single thought.

That was something Kou Chongxue couldn’t do to the Jiao Continent.

It was also why Kou Chongxue rejected Shang Xia’s recommendation for him to take a portion of the world fragment to strengthen the Jiao Continent.

With the infusion of the world fragment into the You Continent which was already 10,000 miles large, it increased 2,000 miles and was starting to rival the size of the Jiao Continent.

Despite being a little smaller, the You Continent’s foundations far surpassed the Jiao Continent. Also, with the You Continent linked up with the newest addition, it was much stronger than the fragmented Jiao Continent.

Also, even with the You Continent’s expansion, it didn’t surpass whatever Shang Xia’ss soul could control.

The blessing of the World’s Will descended on Shang Xia, who had strengthened the Hai Continent and You Continent with the world fragment he obtained. He entered a special state of mind, akin to enlightenment.

Stepping through the gates into the fifth tier, he reached the level of Returning to the Origin for real! With the blessing of the world, he used it to develop his Six Harmony Flawless Rod Technique, Six Harmony Rod Technique, and his comprehension of the Variant Formation Talisman through the principles of the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman.

The World Origin Source connected to the Hai Continent was starting to fluctuate, and Sun Haiwei’s soul had entered the World Origin Source, ready to brand itself into the Spirit Luxuriant World.

Her attempt was reaching its end, and the moment she succeeded, a new True Immortal would be born!

It was then that the first faction came knocking.

Grand Elders of the Zhongxuan Gate of the Yan Continent, Xuan Shou and Xuan Chang went to pay their respects to Shang Xia and Kou Chongxue. Kou Chongxue carved out a landmass of 3,000 miles for them after reaching an agreement.

The Yan Continent was the smallest continent in the Spirit Luxuriant World and was surrounded by enemies. Even though the Zhongxuan Gate had been desperately trying to develop the land, they were unable to pass the 5,000 miles mark.

They had been progressing rapidly, but so had the Spirit Luxuriant World. Their improvement wasn’t impressive when compared to everyone else.

Fortunately, the World Origin Source connected to the Yan Continent had been well protected by the Zhongxuan Gate. With the 3,000 mile landmass Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia gave, they would be able to increase their landmass by 2,000 miles at the very least.

When it reached a size of 7,000 miles, the Yan Continent would no longer be the weakest continent in the Spirit Luxuriant World!

More importantly, once it reached that size, an expert at the peak of the Martial Dipper Realm would be able to attempt a breakthrough using the spirituality of the continent.

And if the Spirit Luxuriant World wished to ascend into an Essence World, all 24 continents would have to reach a state of perfection with a size of more than 10,000 miles.

Of course... It wasn’t as though the Zhongxuan Gate didn’t pay a price to obtain the landmass from the Tongyou Institution.

The Yong Continent was to the west of the Yan Continent, and the Yi Continent was to the north. The Qing and Xu Continents were to their east, and the Zhou Continent was connected to their south. The White Deer Sect of the Yi Continent had been unfriendly towards the Tongyou Institution from the very start, and the Divine Capital Sect that had been vying for control over the Bing Continent with the Tongyou Institution also made use of the Qing Continent for True Immortal Jiu Jing’s ascension.

Under such circumstances, the Yan Continent’s strategic location was extremely important if the Tongyou Institution wished to pressure its enemies.

The Tongyou Institution might have 2 high-level True Immortals and would be welcoming their third and fourth soon, but the status of True Immortals were lofty and they couldn’t possibly interfere in the conflicts of their factions.

With Ge Qingzhu and Sun Haiwei attempting to enter the Martial Void Realm, the Tongyou Institution’s high-level strength would take a massive hit regardless if they succeeded.

As such, the Zhongxuan Gate would help the Tongyou Institution to bear a portion of the pressure they would face.

Of course, if that was all, the Tongyou Institution wouldn’t give out such a huge piece of land. The Zhongxuan Gate would also have to pay a huge tribute to the Tongyou Institution for many years down the road. They would also have to send high-level experts to coordinate with the actions of the institution. They basically tied themselves to the Tongyou Institution’s war chariot in order to get their hands on the land.

When the new landmass was being integrated into the Yan Continent, the World Origin Source connected to it would start to expand. When that happened, the Yan Continent, which hadn’t supported the birth of any True Immortals, would be at its weakest and prone to attacks.

Having already thought of the implications, Kou Chongxue silently appeared in the skies above the Yan Continent. As a high-level True Immortal, he stood guard for the development of the Yan Continent, preventing any True Immortals from taking the chance to steal world origin.

The growth of the Yan Continent also brought about a round of World Will’s blessing, and it landed on the members of the Zhongxuan Gate. However, a portion of it still went to Shang Xia and Kou Chongxue as they were the ones who drove the change.

Watching how the Zhongxuan Gate managed to grab a slice of the heavenly pie, many other factions came knocking.

However, Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia didn’t seem moved and simply followed their plan to meet with the Martial Dipper Realm ancestors of the Changbai Sect.

The relationship between the Changbai Sect and the Tongyou institution was as complicated as could be.

In the early years, before the fusion of the Azure Origin World and the Azure Spiritual World to form the Azure Ascension World, they had been mortal enemies who fought each other in the Battlefield Between the Two Worlds. Back then, the Tongyou Institution didn’t even have the qualifications to go against the Changbai Sect directly and they were merely fighting a proxy, the great clans of the Liao Continent.

Along with Kou Chongxue’s rise and the strengthening of the Tongyou Institution which led to the situation in the Battlefield Between the Two Worlds tilting to their side, their relationship with the Changbai Sect changed to one of cooperation.

Along with the fusion of both worlds, the Battlefield Between the Two Worlds disappeared. After that, Elysiums rose and both factions started to work together and became close allies.

Next, Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia became True Immortals and the Tongyou Holy Land became an Elysium, becoming a top-tier power of the Spirit Luxuriant World. The Changbai Sect changed their approach and blindly followed the instructions of the Tongyou Institution. Their relationship remained as good friends.

They could argue that throughout their cooperation, the Changbai Sect had always been able to adapt to their circumstances.

That was also why the Tongyou Institution felt that they needed to help the Changbai Sect out now that they had the ability to do so.

The Liao Continent had been the territory of the Changbai Sect for a long time, and it was close to 7,500 miles wide. It was an average continent in the Spirit Luxuriant World, but with the Tongyou Institution giving them 2,000 miles of land, they would probably be able to cross the 9,000 miles mark and become 1 step away from reaching a perfected state.

The ancestors of the Changbai Sect brought the landmass back to the Liao Continent and the situation became similar to the Zhongxuan Gate. However, they chose several promising disciples to carry out the integration so as to split the blessing of the World’s Will among them.

With that, the landmass they brought back was nearly 80 percent gone. However... The last 20 percent of the land they had contained 30 percent of its world essence!
