POV: Antier Egos

I looked around the street that passed Terse's church and saw just how much damage had been caused; Blood splatters littered the ground with swords and daggers not far from them. Bodies crumpled to the ground, dead after being trampled by hundreds of people for hours on end. Fires lit up wooden structures and were only contained by the high amount of stone buildings around them.

Truly, the whole city was about to collapse; The only intact building was the church and that was only because of the insane amount of runes carved into its walls.

I turned to my left and took a good moment to examine the kid who stood there. He looked exhausted and was most definitely from a poor family if he even had one; The torn clothes and rough skin certainly told as much.

"So, we should probably introduce ourselves..." I told him as an awkward silence settled over us. I never had to speak to a kid like this before.

The kid turned around and looked at me cautiously before introducing himself. "I'm Harry Terria, I live alone."

I appreciated him being straight to the point and introduced myself, "I'm Antier Egos, Priest of Terse."

When I heard the kid scoff at the mention of Terse, I was tempted to do something about it, but ultimately decided not to; After all, I'm pretty sure that Terse hadn't helped in any way the situation that had happened earlier.

The awkward silence settled over us once more; It would be too rude to walk away, but it would be too awkward to just stay here and try to do some small talk...

What am I supposed to do now?
