One of the most dangerous lesser demons, the succubus / incubus is capable of causing massive damage outside a labyrinth. Even without their mind control they are a deadly foe, combining superior strength, magic, and flight. On top of that they can control the minds of people with the opposite gender [need to frame this better]. But worst of all, their attacks leave permanent scars, due to the monster's power over the soul.

The demon's seduction skill isn't based on sexuality or even gender, but on reproductive capability. When a succubus, any creature capable of impregnating a mate is vulnerable. Meanwhile in incubus form any creature capable of childbirth is weak to the demon's charm. While the demon is effective against anyone with any chance of reproduction, completely infertile people are immune regardless of the reason behind that status.

It's theorized [Confirmed] The demon starts as a succubus. Like all composite soul monsters they have a strong urge to 'fix' their fragmented soul. Unlike other monsters the succubus has a method to attempt that. They can drain a victim's soul via intercourse, frequently killing the victim, but sometimes just incapacitating them. [S:length. Leave it for the full section] The flood of soul energy can't fix the demon's soul, instead causing a transformation to the incubus state. The incubus then searches for women to impregnate, losing soul energy in the process until they expel the last of their stolen energy and return to succubus form. After that the process repeats. These unfortunate victims are left with an excess of soul.[S:length]

To hunt these demons it's best to have two teams, one of each gender. That way no matter which variant of the demon you face, you'll have a group ready to kill the thing.

Yes post menopausal women are immune to incubi. No that doesn't make them 'less of a woman' and if you say that to them I'll happily distract the witnesses while they stab you.

Merges for this demon are very rare, but not as rare as might be suspected given it's a level V demon. The monsters are frequently fought in cities, and young unmerged people are more likely to be immune to their abilities. Still there's only five recorded cases in the past century and one known living merge. The merge is usually referred to as succubus or incubus merge based on the preferred gender of the person, not the monster actually killed.

These merges get a massive number of benefits, including enhanced strength, magic, and resistance. They also get enhanced senses. And as might be expected their physical bodies become hyper sexualized, flaws and blemishes either vanishing or being turned into attractive accents.

Of course most obvious are the merge's mental prowess. The merge targets people of the opposite gender similar to how the monster works causing a temporary loss of reason based on how much skin the person is showing. While the impact rarely lasts longer than a few seconds, that can be fatal in a fight. Stranger still is the power to trigger any latent masochistic or self destructive instincts in someone they hurt. Again the effects only last for a few seconds, but that's usually long enough to secure a kill.

F : I think they also get a power boost when hurt. Like a masochism skill? Should I add that?

S : Section's too long anyway, so we'd just end up cutting that. It's not like we want people getting this merge.

Unfortunately like all demon merges, the person who merged has little control over their powers. None of their skills can be turned off, and some can't even be toned down. In fact the merge seems to frequently become stronger at the worst possible times. Succubus / Incubus merges can't help but stun and seduce people around them, meaning any deal they have is considered suspect unless it's with someone immune to their powers. While people with even basic levels of self control can regain their senses in seconds, the stigma lingers.

There's records of one merge who swapped between succubus and incubus style. However they were a notorious criminal, so we can't be sure if that was due to merge powers, magic, or some other reason. Even if it is merge based it's unlikely those with strong gender identity would be able to use the ability.
