Not hesitating any longer, he quickly bought the level two potions, then crawled towards the twins. “Here, quickly drink these!”

Gorn could feel every bone in his body from all the trashing around, so Mara, and Nora were bound to be in a way worse condition than him. Appreciatively, they were two tough girls, not whining in the slightest.

After seeing them drink the potion, Gorn gobbled down one himself. With that, his gold was close to zero. Waiting for his finances to reach three hundred thousand gold, to buy those level three potions was not an option. That would take a lot of time, too much time considering the situation.

The nearby mushrooms looked incredibly beautiful, and lively. Despite that, they could only frown while looking at them at this moment.

“These mushrooms are poisonous, or at the very least, have some very strange effects,” said Nora. Pausing for a moment, she added: “Judging by the symptoms so far, I don’t think that they are deadly to us… Why did I not think of such a possible outcome…” remembering how she pleaded for them to come, and take a closer look, Nora felt a little ashamed of herself.

Looking at all the vomit on her tank top, and her jeans, Mara let out a rare cuss.

Looking at her act like that brought a small smile to Gorn, and Nora’s face. Currently, Mara’s biggest concern was not the dangerous situation, but the state of her clothes. This was, however, only for a brief moment.

All three of them were dizzy, but other than that, nothing was wrong. The damage they suffered during the fall was rapidly being healed by the potion.

The twins did not complain, and tried to look like nothing was wrong, but the whole ordeal scared them by quite a bit.

“We will leave immediately. The area covered by these mushrooms is not that large, so we should be able to escape rather quickly. Stay close to me.”

Gorn made a decision, and they left that zone the next second. It was very hard to keep one’s sense of balance, and look out for any potential dangers at the same time. After a few minutes, they somewhat managed to cope with the side effects to some degree,

Slow, but steady, the group started to cover ground. In a few hours, they managed to get out of the mushroom forest. After a few hundred meters away from any mushroom, the effects lessened considerably, and vanished completely.

Breathing out with relief, Gorn said: “We will tell the others about this strange phenomenon, but… I hope we leave the details to the side…” he was a little embarrassed for falling in such a dire situation.

It wasn’t hard to figure out what he was referring to. The twins looked at each-other, then nodded.

“In exchange, we want a set of clean clothes, and a place to take a bath,” said Nora, taking advantage of the situation.
