Zeta Faleur

Interests: Tower of Hate and Love (TV show), Raina Starlight (actor and author of ‘fantastamoir’ series of books describing heightened tales of a somewhat fictionalized past), reading, TV in general
Family: Stella Faleur (older sister, guardian), other family unknown. While they sometimes fight, Zeta is fiercely loyal to her older sister and sole guardian, Stella, and frequently gets homesick when they’re apart. Zeta doesn’t know about the rest of her family and according to Stella it’s a sore subject, so she doesn’t pry.
Bio: Zeta's a kind, anxious girl trying to overcome her difficult past. Zeta is a trans girl; once her fangs came in she was able to get on a medication specifically for trans Cani that greatly aid there. At Rising Shards, she quickly made friends with Oka and Kalei, as well as other friends in Aira, Laenie, Lillia, and more, and a rival in Ovie Chirhart.
Oka Ohri

Interests: Theater, musicals, reading, singing, learning about new shows and movies she had never seen before
Family: Berin Kilander (adoptive parent), Caya Kilander, Penteldtam Kilander, 09, Reit Kilander, Kitty Kilander, Aki Kilander, various other Kilanders. Biological family unknown. Oka has mixed feelings about the Kilanders, the rich family that adopted her. While she likes Berin, her adoptive father, she feels conflicted about going from near squalor to a rich family, and definitely doesn’t like the Kilander reality show.
Bio: Oka was a rare case of a fangs-only Cani that showed their signs near birth. She was given up for adoption and sent to the orphanage/boarding school Tesata, a harsh island facility on a lake near the big city Litus Empirica. There Oka was pushed to her limit by her main teacher, Mikkel, in a rough upbringing. At some point, Berin Kilander adopted her, and her new Cani doctor, Dr. Diast, assisted her with the transition from Tesata to her new home.
At Rising Shards, Oka has a chipper, happy demeanor, relishing in being at a school that isn’t cruel like her old one.
Kalei Koridia

Family: Mother and pet dog mentioned, other family *mysterious*
Bio: An athletic beam chasers player, Kalei dealt with the dissolution of a friendship shortly before going to Rising Shards.
Laenie Aadris
Age: 17

Bio: At school, Laenie is shy and easily startled, relying heavily on her best friend Aira to socialize for her.
Aira Orbis

Bio: An aloof student, Aira is very close to Laenie and they’ve been friends for a long time. Aira and Laenie with Lillia Cadence, who butted heads with Aira for various reasons.

Bio: Stoic on the outside, emotionally conflicted on the inside, Lillia tries to maintain a dignified appearance at all times.

Bio: Zeta and co.’s main teacher/Cani doctor, Diast is a snarky but very caring teacher.
Stella Faleur

Bio: Stella has been her baby sister Zeta’s main caretaker for a long time. While wanting to protect her sister from learning more about her family, Stella keeps more bottled up than she maybe should. An aspiring actor, Stella frequents the Litus Empirica theater scene as much as she has time for, and has taken some freelance acting roles, enough so that her web page for that gets some attention in local acting circles. Stella has primarily worked as a librarian since entering the workforce.
Caya Kilander

Family: Aki Kilander (apparent husband), Berin Kilander, Penteldtam Kilander, 09, Oka, Reit Kilander, Kitty Kilander, various other Kilanders.
Bio: Caya Kilander (born Caya Orcas) has a storied void military career in a brief time, building a sizeable resume before focusing mainly on teaching at Rising Shards.
Naomi Ratuna

Bio: Prefect for the girls’ dorms and Rising Shards in general, Naomi is a model student, taking part in various clubs and organizations across the school, mostly doing work for the theater department.

Bio: An avid beam chasers player, Ko Matora is seemingly more interested in many girls around her. According to her sister Kai, she had previously caused a romance “Cluster” that blew up in her face.

Bio: Kai Matora is a rowdy beam chasers player. Considered the “dumber” sibling of the identical Matora sisters, Kai is more just focused on physical action as much as possible. A big fan of action movies and Haven fights, Kai frequently grapples with her sister for fun, and Kalei when she’s up for it.
Ovie Chirhart

Bio: Seemingly just a typical bratty, mean girl on the outside, Ovie’s bravado hides a great deal of pain and heartbreak.

Bio: Somewhat well-known makeup streamers, the duo of Chellsi (pink hair) and Mikeila-Keila (purple hair) are as inseparable as they are stupid. Well-meaning but easily influenced, the two generally go along with what Ovie tells them to do.
