Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 174: Fighting with Aliens

"I'm fine," Xu Luo answered while running frantically, hearing her concerned voice.

For someone who had undergone specialized training, this running speed was nothing. What he experienced at No. 1 High School was much more grueling.

"Where are you now? Right, protect yourself first. I'll send people over soon."

Xu Ran instinctively asked about his location, then quickly realized she could track Xu Luo's position.

"Please hurry," Xu Luo replied calmly, continuing to run.

He could hear noises behind him; the pursuers weren't hiding their movements.

Instead of choosing the elevator, Xu Luo ran towards the emergency exit, then hid behind the safety door.

The pursuers followed him relentlessly, pacing themselves well. Some chased directly behind him towards the emergency exit, while others took elevators up and down to block his escape routes.

However, they didn't expect that Xu Luo, after rushing towards the emergency exit, didn't go up or down the stairs but hid behind the door.

As the first person came out of the safety door, Xu Luo didn't hesitate to punch him, dazing him. After dealing with one, he kicked the next person flying. As others approached, he closed the safety door, letting them crash into it while he ran up the stairs.

"Where is he?" Seeing his group of subordinates lying on the ground moaning, the motorcycle gang leader's face darkened. He hadn't expected so many people to fail in dealing with just one person.

"Useless!" The leader grew angrier seeing his group unable to answer, just moaning there.

"Chase him! We've blocked both up and down routes. He can't escape."

As the leader of a small gang, he naturally had some brains. From the start, he had arranged people to block all possible escape routes for Xu Luo.

A mere safety door couldn't stop their advance. A few of them rammed it open in no time.

The previous group suffered because they rushed towards the door suddenly, and Xu Luo closed it unexpectedly, catching them off guard and making them crash into it without time to slow down. That's what caused their pain. In reality, only two people were actually attacked by Xu Luo.

After climbing up one floor, Xu Luo didn't recklessly rush towards the roof. He quietly peeked through the safety door, found this floor temporarily empty, and discreetly walked out.

However, just as he reached the elevator, he saw a man in black approaching from the opposite side.

The man saw him, first surprised then about to shout.

But Xu Luo was faster. In three quick steps, he rushed in front of the man and delivered a knife-hand strike to his carotid artery, instantly knocking him out.

Ignoring the man lying on the ground convulsing, Xu Luo struck in anger, showing no mercy. The force of this blow was terrifying.

After all, the other party could potentially threaten his life safety. Naturally, he wouldn't show any courtesy to enemies.

These people were unfortunate. They originally just wanted to teach Xu Luo a lesson, but they didn't know that Xu Luo had just been notified that aliens were going to attack him. He was in a state of danger when they happened to come and surround him, so he naturally took them for aliens.

Although he was puzzled that the aliens didn't use any firearms but instead used primitive tools, this wasn't the time to think too much about it.

Perhaps they were worried about attracting the attention of the Security Department.

After all, the Human Federation's screening of firearms was very strict, and those who could have gun licenses were few and far between.

"Huff, huff!" Breathing heavily, Xu Luo tried his best to calm himself down.

Although he had killed countless people in the arena and commanded Zerg to devour numerous beings in God's Domain, this was the first time he had personally taken action in real life.

Moreover, he had just been running intensely and fighting with all his might. Although the time was short, the dual pressure on his body and mind was still somewhat oppressive for him.

At this moment, having dealt with the pursuers, he began to think about what he should do next.

Since there were already people on this floor, it was clear that the enemy was coming from both up and down, preparing to surround him like dumplings.

With the enemy's large numbers, it would be difficult for him to escape.

He wanted to use the pulse magnetic wave gun to break through, but in the Main Brain's judgment, he wasn't facing a life-threatening situation. Therefore, he wasn't granted permission to use the pulse magnetic wave gun.

That thing in his hand was now just a toy gun, good for scaring people but unable to fire.

This was what made Xu Luo curse the most. How dangerous was it? Could an intelligent machine really determine that? What if the Main Brain couldn't judge in time when real danger was encountered?

However, no matter how dissatisfied he was at this moment, it couldn't solve the practical problem.

His brain was working rapidly. He had dealt with the people on this floor. The people below should have caught up, and there should be people on the upper floors as well. After thinking, he directly activated the elevator and walked in.

In a building with hundreds of floors, it was unrealistic for the enemy's mere dozens of people to block all exits. It would be good enough if they could seal off these few nearby floors.

He didn't think about escaping by taking the elevator down because he knew the enemy must have people guarding the elevator exits. If they pressed the elevator button, it would definitely stop at the floor where they were. There was no way to avoid it, and he didn't intend to.

Since others had already made a move against him, naturally, he wouldn't be polite in return.

"Ding!" The elevator only went down one floor before the doors opened.

As expected, two burly men stood at the door, holding iron rods, vigilantly watching the elevator.

When they saw Xu Luo coming out of the elevator, they were a bit dazed, reflexively raising their iron rods before remembering to notify others.

But by then, it was too late.

Although Xu Luo didn't have weapons like knives or swords, his close combat skills were not weak. These were battlefield martial arts from various races in God's Domain, accumulated over countless years.

Even the military used this type of combat technique.

These thugs, although physically fit and experienced in fighting, had combat experience that was completely different from Xu Luo's.

Although Xu Luo looked thin and small, he had been honed by the special game cabin, bringing all the effects from the training ground into reality. Combined with his skills and combat experience from the arena, after overcoming the psychological barrier of his first real fight, he dealt with them easily.

"Xu Luo, how are you now?" Xu Ran's call came through, the sound traveling far in the silent corridor.

"I'm fine. Are you engaged in combat on your side?" Hearing intense fighting and the distinctive low sound of pulse magnetic wave guns from Xu Ran's end, Xu Luo frowned.

He hadn't expected that just as there was movement here, they would start fighting there.

"Mm," Xu Ran responded.

"I've arranged people to come and assist you. Be careful yourself."

Xu Ran was in the midst of intense combat. After confirming Xu Luo's safety, she didn't say more.

Ignoring the two men lying on the ground, Xu Luo walked through the corridor, preparing to go to the emergency exit.

However, after just a few steps, he suddenly stood still.

At this moment, his whole body tensed, and the hairs on his body stood up.

He was locked on, as if targeted by a venomous snake.

"Qita mu'oula!" A voice with a strange accent sounded behind Xu Luo.

Xu Luo understood this sentence. The instinctive reaction trained earlier was faster than his conscious response.

"Puchi—" A low sound rang out behind him, followed by a gust of wind grazing past Xu Luo's ear.

"Puchi—" An identical sound, but this time it was the other party who fell.

Looking at the person lying on the ground, it was an ordinary-looking young man, the type that would be indistinguishable in a crowd.

Xu Luo couldn't help but feel relieved. Fortunately, the Main Brain had just released his restriction, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to use the pulse magnetic wave gun.

He understood the meaning of the previous sentence.

"Die, lowly insect!" It was the language of the Longwasi civilization.

Although Xu Luo's cultural studies were average, he could understand some languages of other civilizations bordering humanity.

Luckily, the other party was careless, not knowing he had a gun, which led to their demise.

"Hmph!" Xu Luo suddenly grunted and fell to the ground.

"Human whelp, I must say, Kasiwa underestimated you, actually dying at your hands. But you made a common sense mistake. Longwasi never act alone."

After resolving his opponent with one shot, this Longwasi spy approached Xu Luo, speaking arrogantly. He was about to fire another shot to finish him off before leaving with his companion.

Their mission was complete; other matters would naturally be resolved by others.

"I'll teach you a lesson too: villains die because they talk too much," Xu Luo coldly rolled over, firing three consecutive shots at the Longwasi member. After he fell, Xu Luo aimed at his forehead and fired another shot to ensure he was dead. Only then did he slump to the ground, breathing heavily.

It wasn't until this moment that he felt intense pain all over his body, with half of his body losing sensation.

Being hit by a pulse magnetic wave gun wouldn't cause bleeding; the hit area would be directly scorched.

He had relied on his strong reflexes to shift his position slightly when hit, resulting in the shot hitting the edge of his side. Although still painful, it wasn't fatal.

It was by using this method that he deceived his opponent and completed the counterattack.

He certainly knew that Longwasi never acted alone. Even in God's Domain, two Longwasi Divine Domains would act as each other's flanks. After invading them once before, he didn't want to encounter them again.

Attacking one would provoke two, which was very troublesome.

Having just dealt with one, he knew there was another person hiding. But his previous position was too exposed, without any cover. Escaping would only make him a living target. He gambled by using himself as bait, and fortunately, he ultimately won the bet!

Although lying on the ground not wanting to move, Xu Luo still felt extremely satisfied.

Killing someone with his own hands, it seemed, was just like that, without any special feeling.

Perhaps it was because he had already personally killed countless people in the arena.

"Boss, he's here!" At this moment, a loud shout rang out as the thugs discovered his presence.

"Hmph!" Xu Luo struggled to get up but was in so much pain that he broke out in a cold sweat and couldn't help but cry out.

The half of his body that was shot earlier still had no feeling, but now it seemed to be getting more and more uncomfortable.

The wound from a pulse magnetic wave gun wouldn't block your nerve endings but would make a person more sensitive, resulting in intensified pain.

"That kid is over there, don't let him escape!" A group of thugs called for others to come over.

Xu Luo struggled to crawl to a nearby corner, leaning against the wall, looking mockingly at the figures rushing towards him.

It wasn't that he wanted to mock them, but these underlings were really lacking in intelligence. There were four people lying on the ground, yet they ignored them, only thinking about capturing Xu Luo to report back to their rich patron.

Getting closer and closer, the nearest person clenched his fist and charged directly at Xu Luo.

"Puchi—" A low sound rang out, followed by a figure falling to the ground.

"Huh?" This scene directly frightened these thugs.

At this moment, they didn't know whether to advance or retreat.

Everyone was completely scared stiff.

They were just small-time thugs living at the bottom of society, usually collecting protection fees, extorting, getting into fights, but when had they ever seen such a situation?

Wasn't it just about teaching someone a lesson? How did guns get involved?

"What's going on? Go on, capture that kid and get the reward from the boss!" The leader's voice came from afar as he squeezed through the crowd to the front.

Looking at Xu Luo leaning against the wall, the leader grinned.

"Little brother, sorry about this. We're just following orders. Let the boys rough you up a bit. Next time we meet, big brother here will treat you to drinks!"

Saying this, the leader waved his hand, signaling his underlings to act.

But the surrounding people all lowered their heads, no one daring to move.

"Move it! Did you use up all your strength on those women last night?" The leader cursed dissatisfiedly.

"Boss, he, he has a gun!" A nearby underling reminded him with a wailing face.

It wasn't that they weren't trying their best, but the enemy had a gun, forcing them not to move!
