Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 165: Strange Particles Falling from the Sky

In different voids, plane worlds rose and fell like bubbles on the sea surface, disappearing and regenerating.

For the creatures within these plane worlds, they might have lived there for many years, experiencing generations of ancestors and creating their own epics.

However, the time flow in plane worlds was inconsistent with that of the larger God's Domain environment.

Possibly, millions of years might pass in a plane world, while for the entire God's Domain, it was merely an instant.

Only when a plane world stabilized would its time flow synchronize with that of God's Domain.

Therefore, for the entire God's Domain, the so-called long history of plane worlds was meaningless, as they were fundamentally different concepts.

This explained why many lower plane worlds, despite existing for a long time, couldn't break through the Bronze-tier limitation.

It was because while a long time had passed internally, externally, hardly any time had passed at all.

Many plane worlds were like this, constantly disappearing and regenerating, like the splash of a wave.

How long does a wave splash last? In the river of time of God's Domain, any world was insignificant. This applied to plane worlds, Gods' Divine Kingdoms, and even the Divine Realms of Main Gods and supreme beings above them.

On a clear morning, warm sunlight filtered through the forest gaps.

This was an unremarkable forest.

A group of children were picking mushrooms in the forest.

A little girl with a basket was carefully selecting beautiful mushrooms to take home.

Suddenly, she spotted several colorful mushrooms gleaming in the sunlight not far away.

"What beautiful mushrooms!" she exclaimed excitedly. She quickly ran over, looked around to see if her friends had noticed, and quietly picked the mushrooms, planning to show them to her sister later.

The little girl had never seen such mushrooms before and thought they were very pretty.

After playing happily in the forest for a while, the children held hands and ran back home with their baskets.

In the fields, groups of adults were working, men farming and women weaving, creating a picturesque rural scene.

However, just as the atmosphere was harmonious and peaceful, suddenly, golden light pillars appeared in the sky, and countless figures emerged from them.

These figures were diverse: some humanoid, some green-skinned, and some beast-like.

Upon emerging from the light pillars, their reactions were the same: to kill every living creature they encountered.

For such a small mountain village, there was naturally no way to resist these powerful invaders. They were quickly slaughtered.

Those children, once full of laughter, couldn't escape the massacre either.

No one noticed a small basket containing some colorful mushrooms.

At this moment, these mushrooms, like dandelions spreading their seeds, were puffing out countless tiny particles that floated away with the wind.

They rode the wind to rural fields, wild forests, encountering rabbits, wild boars, and deer.

Upon meeting any creature, a tiny particle would fall and merge with it.

These creatures were completely unaware of this.

So this was parasitism?

Xu Luo felt his current state was somewhat peculiar.

After finding some plane worlds, he didn't invade but chose to project Alpha Assimilation Zerg into them. He only projected his consciousness in, silently observing everything that happened.

After the Alpha Assimilation Zerg seeds completed assimilation with a creature, they would cause the creature to regress into a Zerg egg. Through the connection with his Divine Domain, Xu Luo could spend some faith power to summon these eggs back.

All eggs from the same world could be teleported at once, so the overall cost wasn't high.

However, what Xu Luo didn't expect was that as soon as he arrived in this world, before he could choose to parasitize, he saw other Demi-Gods invading this world, and multiple Demi-Gods working together at that.

But this had nothing to do with him. He quietly scattered the Alpha Assimilation Zerg seeds in various directions, letting them choose their own targets to parasitize, accumulating enough Zerg eggs for him.

He only briefly paid attention to the beginning of these seeds before withdrawing his gaze.

He just needed to come back later to collect the victorious results.

Having spent enormous resources to obtain coordinates for several plane worlds, he naturally wanted to harvest them well.

As for why he didn't go to the school's plane worlds, given their large number? Well, one shouldn't always target one's own people when setting traps. Capable people should trap outsiders.

The school's plane worlds were for students' training, not for him to destroy. For him now, going to the school's plane worlds for training had no benefit at all. He didn't need any battle experience or such things. What he needed now were sufficient resources, the flesh and blood of creatures - these were all he wanted.

After throwing Alpha Assimilation Zerg into these plane worlds, Xu Luo began piloting his starships for a true expedition.

Previously, he had scattered his dozens of starships in various directions. At that time, they were truly just scattered forces engaged in individual battles, without any systematic combat system.

When encountering some powerful individuals, he would choose to retreat, not engaging in a life-or-death struggle.

But now it was different. He had previously plundered ten civilizations at once, then did business with the Education Department, making a big profit. He had also established a trading platform with Umbrella members, from which he received huge commission rewards. There were also protection fees collected. All these provided him with sufficient resources to arm himself.

Zerg didn't need equipment or cultivation. Most of the time, he didn't need to pay for them. In many cases, he could just throw them into others' Divine Domains to fend for themselves.

However, this method was too inefficient, so he still chose to use floating collectors for resources, using evolution points to feed the Zerg or evolve them.

At this time, Xu Luo's focus was on feeding Fire Locusts, as they could provide evolution crystals. The more Fire Locusts and the stronger they were, the more evolution crystals they could gather to upgrade other powerful Zerg.

In space, a vast fleet of starships was sailing, without any concealment, completely unafraid of being discovered.

Meanwhile, in those few plane worlds, Alpha Assimilation Zerg were busy assimilating one creature after another, gradually causing these creatures to regress into Zerg eggs.

Of course, things weren't that simple. If assimilation could be completed so easily, these Alpha Assimilation Zerg would be too invincible.

The main body of Alpha Assimilation Zerg couldn't move, so their seeds could only drift with the wind, often like a game of chance. If it was like this, conquering an entire world would be impossible.

Therefore, after the initial assimilation was completed, the obtained eggs would hatch into other Zerg, forming some combat power.

These Alpha Assimilation Zerg would be moved to other places to assimilate other creatures. Combat wasn't necessarily required; just carrying them around to move was enough.

This was a very domineering type of Zerg. Once they completed assimilation, turning into a Zerg egg was an inevitable process.

Even corpses could be absorbed for their flesh and blood to nourish themselves.

This was a type of Zerg that could sustain itself through battle.

When fighting with them, there was no need to worry about depleting numbers, as they could be replenished at any time.

It was because of their appearance, ensuring sufficient logistics, that Xu Luo finally decided to directly begin a true invasion plan.

He aimed his blade directly at the central area, intending to take it down first.

In fact, he had already accumulated enough Zerg. Initially choosing to avoid the central area was only because attacking there would consume a vast amount of resources.

But now he couldn't care about that anymore. The central area contained numerous plane worlds.

For Xu Luo, with Alpha Assimilation Zerg, plane worlds were his logistical bases.

He couldn't possibly hand these over to others, so he needed to occupy these plane worlds, even if it meant going to war with others.

No matter how great the losses, with Alpha Assimilation Zerg, he could replenish them.

"Boss! Something's weird about this world. When we first came, weren't there many creatures? Now why is there no movement at all?" In a plane world, several Demi-God avatars sat in a city tavern, looking at the lifeless city, feeling very strange.

They had descended into this world naturally wanting to gain sufficient benefits.

At first, they used bloody methods to suppress all resistance, crushing these forces. Then they would oppress the local residents, enslaving them to serve themselves.

Whether planting crops or mining for them, there were many things they could do.

But what puzzled them was that after the bloody suppression, when they looked back, they suddenly found the world silent, with no human figure in sight.

This was a medium-level plane world, not small in size, with numerous living beings. How could they suddenly disappear without a trace?

"Indeed, it's very strange. Forget about human figures, we haven't even seen a rabbit. I wanted to go hunting earlier, but unexpectedly, I didn't even see a rabbit's hair. Those green-skinned goblins, not a single one left," another Demi-God avatar replied, equally puzzled.

Another Demi-God avatar didn't speak, just silently pondering. This was a very bizarre phenomenon. A plane world had numerous living beings. Although they had slaughtered some, compared to the entire world, it was just a negligible number. Now, how could they suddenly all disappear without a trace?

At this moment, in the entire city, apart from their soldiers, there were no other figures!

"What's that?" Suddenly, dense, tiny particles floated over in the sky, invisible to the naked eye.

But these were all Demi-God avatars with powerful strength, easily sensing the existence of these small things.

However, before they could react, these tiny particles had already drifted away with the wind. Only a small part fell down, and one Demi-God avatar casually grabbed a handful, quietly observing.

What was strange was that when he opened his palm, the tiny particles originally in this Demi-God avatar's hand had disappeared.

"Hey, don't move around, don't grab random things. There might be some danger," one Demi-God avatar warned.

"We're just faith bodies, what are you fussing about?" another Demi-God avatar said nonchalantly.

"Just..." The Demi-God avatar who had grabbed a handful of tiny particles was about to speak when suddenly, like a deflating balloon, his entire body began to rapidly shrink.

Then, under the gaze of the two Demi-God avatars, he suddenly disappeared, leaving only a pile of white eggs in his place.

The remaining two Demi-God avatars were greatly shocked, not knowing what had happened. How could a Demi-God's avatar suddenly turn into a pile of eggs?

When they looked around, all their soldiers originally spread throughout the city had disappeared without a trace. On the ground, layers of white eggs were laid out.

"What's going on?" the two Demi-God avatars asked in confusion.

"Those things just now were definitely not simple," another Demi-God avatar said gravely.

Suddenly, all the soldiers had turned into white eggs, including a Demi-God's avatar. Everyone knew something was amiss.

It must have had something to do with the myriad of tiny particles from earlier.

But what exactly was going on? They couldn't explain it at all.

In the entire city, only they were left.

So what about the remaining soldiers in other places? What was their situation now?

But before these two Demi-God avatars could respond, suddenly, a large number of tiny particles floated down from the sky, directly covering them.

Moments later, where they had been, only piles of white eggs remained, gleaming in the sunlight.
