Remnants anomaly

The chewer of shoes

During the next three days after the tournament ended leon didn't leave his residence much because his familiar connection was telling him the egg was going to hatch. if there was one thing leon didn't want to miss it was the moment his familiar hatched. this was mostly because he had no idea what the thing was and he was curious to find out. it was on wednesday that the egg developed it's first crack running down it's side. leon was surprised it had taken so long for his familiar to crack the egg despite constantly hammering on it from the inside for three days.

It didn't take long after that for the first small hole to show up and more soon after that. eventually the creature was out of the egg and acting like an eager kitten. the creature was roughly the size of a large dog and had black , purple and orange skin. the creature was obviously reptilian in shape but had four legs and a set of wings much like leons own. from all over it's body the creature had small bone spikes protruding while small horn nubs sat on it's forehead.

Leon had memories of this particular creature since it definitely was native to this world but he could tell how much of a headache it was going to become in the future. nergigante , the eater of elders. despite how cute and cuddly leon's familiar seemed at the moment he knew how notoriously bad tempered the species was from the game it originated in. leon had to admit that it was an impressive thing to have as a familiar since once it reached maturity it would be nightmarish to behold. the biggest headache for leon however showed up shortly after that were the little thing got hungry and went on a rampage destroying the furniture and walls.

Leon had prepared all sorts of different possible foods for his familiar but the rambunctious newborn was a consummate carnivore with a monstrous appetite. the entire stock of meat leon had prepared for the next two weeks was what it took to satisfy the small dragon. leon had a theory that the reason this species ate elder dragons was because they were the only things with enough nutrients and energy in their flesh to sustain them without constant hunting like the deviljho.

To prove this leon used his infernal script to summon exactly one pound of zorah magdaros flesh to test. leon had discovered long ago that if you were creative enough infernal script could do almost anything you may need. in this case he simply tore out a small amount of meat from the mountain sized monster native to that world. leon had also discovered that it was impossible to actually travel to other worlds with the script since the laws of the other worlds rejected outsiders violently. when he had tried originally he had been disintegrated from his stomach down before he fearfully returned to remnant.

Thankfully leons semblance made regrowing his limbs a simple mater of waiting and expending lifeforce. the test results from the zorah's flesh confirmed leons theory as it was nearly eight times more nutrient rich then even the best superfood known on remnant. the results also showed exuberant amounts of an unknown energy that leon recognized as dragon energy. leon was thankful that he had the sharingan that granted him absolute authority on any subject he had already studied. thanks to his knowledge on cellular growth and cloning leon simply started growing the cells of the zorah in order to have food for his familiar.

Theoretically speaking leon could also make an infant clone of zorah to set loose in the world if he wanted to but figured the grim were enough of an issue so he shouldn't make any more problems. leon soon discovered that his familiar was male and named it genesis since it was the first of it's kind in this world. genesis had some sort of fascination with destroying leons shoes when left unattended however , not even to eat them but literally just chewing them up and spitting them back out while looking wronged when leon got onto him about it.
