Overlord: Ancient One

Chapter 13: JÖTUNHEIM II

"So, what are you waiting for? Let's start " Arthur said as he vanished from his spot.

When he appeared behind them, he was in his Doppelganger form—That being that appeared behind them had a bizarre appearance.

It had a human body, but its head was a distorted black eggshell with two hollow eyes. There were no eyeballs; instead, there were two black holes that appeared to be being devoured by any light as darkness swirled inside them.

Its skin had the appearance of a corpse, with purple spots scattered across a horrifying black background, and it was covered in some sort of gooey slime that had an odd sheen. with a long, razor-sharp finger that resembles an animal's claws.

It has an eldritch horror appearance and exudes all the horror that a heteromorphic character would feel.

They pause for a brief moment to process the sudden appearance of a bald head, which appears to be something out of a horror film, but that was enough time for Arthur to sink his long claws into the priest's heart.

Without even being able to react, the priest's HP dropped to zero as he broke into light particles while leaving his items.

"Now that your support has gone, You won't get any extra bluff and heal" Even though Arthur said that It doesn't make any difference even if they have support and the entire process took less than a second.

Awakening from their stupider as they get the notification of their priest just died.

"YOUUU...." The man in the silver armor, who is also the party leader, was a howl-like beast as he unveiled his sword for Scabbard before closing his distance as he swung his sword—intending to split me in half.

But before the sword could even manage to touch him, Arthur made a juggernaut kick, which was enough to send the silver armor warrior to fly and hit the nearest tree to become a paste.

"So, you're the only person left, correct?" The final party member—or the alleged final member, as one of them is still concealed behind a tree and waiting for an opportunity to assassinate me—came into view. If he has any brains, he will remain there until the very end, but it's not as if I am going to spare him.

Hearing him, the Mage turned his full attention to Arthur.

"What are you? or should I ask Who are you?" Seeing that there is no point attacking Arthur, the Mage tried to act calmly and acquire information about his opponent.

"Me? I am just your normal Heteromorphic player and If you are asking my IGN then it would be 'Ancient One'." Arthur said. He didn't immediately launch his attack.

"You've got to be kidding, Brother. Hahaha, But how are you able to fool my skill about your strength, I wonder? Although I can tell you are on the same level as me when you are in your humanoid form, I am unable to tell you how strong you are right now. what is it then? Is it a result of your racial class or a particular skill?"

"That's a trade secret, I can't ..... " Arthur didn't even finish speaking as a sharp pointy dagger rushed—aiming for the neck.

If it's anybody else in his place they will catch off guard and deal with critical damage—anybody who is not max-level, that is.

"You do know that it's rude to interrupt someone who is in the middle of talking, right," Arthur said as he tilted his head while catching the assassin by his neck and slamming him to the ground, the assassin who was caught off guard couldn't even process what going—Without even offering the slightest sign of mercy or even turning to look at the assassin, Arthur forced down his leg, crushing his head like a watermelon.

Arthur opened his mouth while maintaining a direct gaze into the Mage's eye.

He nodded his head and said, "It was a brilliant plan to distract the enemy using your word—let their guard down and use a sneak attack when your enemy least expected.

"But that will only work if your opponent doesn't know your plans," Arthur said, If the game character can replace his facial features, players will notice a wide grin on his face.

Finishing his words, he began to walk towards the last member.

The Mage remarked, "You are a monster, do you know that? I'm not going to kill without a fight, either." He sent a magic spell in Arthur's way as he did so.

"Oh, you don't need to say that; I already know that; that's why I chose the heteromorphic race over the humanoid." He said as he vanished from his position.

"I have long seen your tricks {Delay Teleportation}" The mage said. But that didn't do him any better as Arthur's claw has already its way to his heart.

"How?" That was the only thing the mage could say as he turned into particles.

Seeing that everyone has been killed, he opened his system interface, which was ringing continuously throughout the battle.

The majority of the equipment and items he had acquired were useless to him, so he was not overly pleased when he saw them all, but he was glad to have their gold. He then started walking in the direction of his destination—the Forest Giants.
