My Last Hunt

Chapter 381: Class Test 11

Class Test 11

Hiko slowly sealed its injured veins, not much blood wasted because it licked every droplet before it could fell on the ground. Qiao sneaked and gulped with the thoughts in his head. If he got injured and others pointed him to lick his blood then he was done for. Licking ones blood was related with the vampires and he never believed that he would witness such a thing.

He was sitting in front of the beast and supposed to remain just like beasts for the time being. North Sepedra was not small place to begin with. He was all alone on this class test. The Hightown expected him to fulfill this test at any cost no matter if the enemies were large in numbers.

This fairly related that the Hightown wanted real test before assigning for the Hunter King Test Trials. There were several hundred dens of the beasts, all under the order of the Lord Beast. This means that Qiao was supposed to defeat and kill the enemy who has several thousand beasts under his orders. Comparing the strength of the level eight hunter the expectations was not beyond his limits.

There was single reason for doing this. He reached level eight in barely four months according to the reports. This was frightening for Hightown. They wanted him to die among beasts if he was disloyal or trying to take over the Hightown in short time.

They strongly believed that the hunter must possess something valuable which was helping the unrealistic feats. Sending here would uncover the truth. Thinking this the Hightown sent spy to check his activities in the North Sepedra.

"You will accompany me tomorrow if you are not in urgency to reach east den." Hiko offered him. "I have nothing to do particular so I can delay my journey for the time being." The bushy and dense voice echoed. Hiko nodded. Now he felt better. All other five council beasts were loyals with the Lord beast.

It was expected that its presence could bring some ruckus initially; having someone on backing would help a lot. The night went past slower than usual or it was due to the fact that Qiao wanted it to slip away in hurry. He was eagerly waiting to see the disloyal and plan how he could use Hiko to kill him.

When the day broke, both were ready to face the Lord Beast. Qiao slightly shuffled his clothing to dust off. Hiko was sure that in its absence someone might raid the cave. It dragged the body of the beast behind the cave and hid carefully.

The day was simple and silent. The black building remained bustling in the night because the Lord Beast wanted to celebrate. After two decades he was able to meet his long lost child. The second reason was secret and only two council beasts were aware about it.

These two beasts were there when the Lord beasts passed the order to kill Hiko. Lord beast decided on it to get rid the troublemaker and potential enemy that could bring chaos in near future. Hiko was constant headache. Having one denier was equal of having potential competent for the position, for this Zim was willing to sacrifice level eight beast.

Colon the second loyal beast of Lord Beast returned back because the expected spy did not show up. It was not good sign. Without the spy they were clueless about the activities of the enemies. Recently they had faced several newer rules implemented by the Hightown.

These rules could directly influence beasts or ruin their plans. Colon was level eight. Its human height was seven feet, the strength unmatchable. If compared then Lord Beast and Colon both were equal in their force. Colon informed the attendant. The attendant went in the reserved portion of the building.

Lord Zim immediately came when the attendant informed about Colon. He understood that the matter was serious. After some time they were sitting in the main hall of the black building. Lord Beast usually discussed several matters with the council beasts in this hall.

Despite the fact that it was bright day outside, the main hall was sinking in the dark. "Where is the spy?" Lord Zim asked seeing that Colon came alone. "The spy did not reach." The bushy voice informed. Colon was hiding its face with the black overall just like any typical beast in the human form.

It was essential for the beasts to hide their faces because in human form, the facial features looked mutilated and horrible. It was gusty to glance at their faces in the human form. "What do you mean that it did not reach?" Lord Zim spoke grimly.

"Should I take it that the beast is captured? Or the beast is killed in the way?" Lord Zim questioned. Colon remained silent for few moments. "It is not possible for the trained beast to get captured. Allow me to investigate its absence." Colon asked permission.

"Do not leave the North Sepedra instead send someone first." Lord Zim ordered. He did not want Colon to leave before he was able to receive the news from the personal assassin, the assassin that Lord Zim sent last night. "If you say so I will send someone else." Colon stood up to leave however another Lord Council entered. This was also loyal with the Lord Beast.

"The assassin is missing while Hiko is reaching towards black building soon with stranger beast." Felon informed. It was heading same direction and happened to notice. For the sake of prior knowledge Felon flew here in hurry.

"What? Where did the assassin disappear? How come Hiko is still alive?" Lord Zim stood up with worry pasted on his face. The first concern of the spy became secondary since Hiko was alive. "I remember today is the day to select Hiko as the member of the Lord Council. Is he reaching to get the position?" Felon added. They were standing agape in the main hall.

The things which were plain and accessible yesterday clearly turned the tides today.
