My Last Hunt

Chapter 358: Level Battles 32

Level Battles 32

Qiao and his team members finally reached at the boundary of the first island from where the migration started. It was night and the monsters were tired of full day journey. They were scattered to rest. Beyond the limit of eyesight everywhere monsters were present. They were in the row of matching to a caravan. However the row was not like humanly organized.

Hundred over races of the monsters were migrating because the weather was going to change soon. This was the end of autumn. In these areas winters were heavy to the point of starvation. During winter continuous snowfall increased their worry and most of them starve to death. Saving their races was the first priority so the monsters migrate to the feasible climate areas along with their dens.

This said the numbers increased including the cubs of the monsters. Qiao led his team toward a hill so that they could survey the surrounding as well as take a look at the present situation. "For all those who could use their stone attacks stand here." Qiao gestured at his left. He was going to form two teams with the team members.

Half of them walked ahead and stood at his left. "You are responsible to remain at the opening paths of the second island where the human towns are present. Make sure that none of the monster stray there." Qiao ordered. He was splitting them so that all possible paths should be under their control and focus.

"The remaining team members would travel along with the monsters. According to the gestures the monsters travel entire day and rest at night. We cannot tell how long this migration would end. The travel of the monsters is depending on the feasibility of the situation and we are here to make their journey safe. As long as they are not attacked by the beasts they won't stop in the middle and I will make sure to tackle the beasts by staying this end of the Sepedra boundaries. This means I will also travel with the packs of the monsters." Qiao briefly explained and distributed their responsibilities.

The team members simply nodded because they could not go against his orders. Only single hunter was enough to remind them what could happen otherwise. Qiao gestured them and they left to fulfill the orders. The monsters would start their journey early morning. The time was limited for them to reach the said places before dawn.

Qiao was determined to stop the beasts from attack. The other side of the second island where he was heading right now can create trouble because the beasts were hidden in the dark hills there. The never ending boundary line of the Sepedra was dark place most of the time and rarely any hunter would choose this path for journey.

The human towns were located at the opposite side in the periphery of the Inama Continent. The distance was much however the migration of the monsters attracted the beasts. These hills were important and the hunters or the Hightown did not want to destroy it.

The human colonies were guarded by the Nest most of the time because the beasts rarely cross the boundary line to reach opposite side and create trouble for the human towns. Lam was following behind. The team split and everyone knew the responsibility handed by the team leader.

Qiao was sure that they were afraid however he cannot do something about it. Possibly they cannot spend their entire life fearing this and that eventually they will face frightening adventures. The life of the hunters was deliberate by their grit and their ambitions.

They cannot refuse and quit half way through. Qiao was not assuming high hopes for his team members. He was obliged to wait until Lam get to reach level eight. In case his team members failed to stop the monsters from entering the towns there was nothing to do other than reach the other end.

It was utterly wishful that he would run between the monsters to reach the other end. Qiao was hopeful that Lam could provide facility after reaching level eight. His efforts would go to waste if normal humans got intruded by the monsters and the migration.

The first team of the hunters traveled in the night and reached the said place. Their team leader strictly warned so they were guarding as soon as the first rays of the dawn appeared. The monsters also started their journey. Qiao also reached the hills. He could feel the presence of hidden beasts because he could distinguish the aura of the beasts.

The beasts were preparing for this day. At every weak point they would try their best to capture few of the monsters and drag them toward the hidden hills. They were ready to accumulate their mounds of food for the winter season.

Lam walked ahead and stood where Qiao gestured that the beast might appear any time soon. The monsters were well versed with the journey and the paths so they were not slacking. Their concerns were to walk away this boundary line as soon as possible.

No matter if they walk on four feet or two feet; all beasts were more sharp and fast in the rush skill. They monsters could never match to their level of intellect either. There were several other reasons which make beasts powerful enemies of the monsters and the hunters.

Qiao stood at the far hill near the traveling monsters and looked toward Lam; the loyal monster was waiting for the beast to appear. It was quite excited. Having feast of beast meat was dream of many hidden races however it was not easy to fall upon the chance.

Its master was giving this chance so Lam was not willing to let it go. Also it was necessary to level up for the sake of the master. It was first given approval that it could help the master in fulfilling the mission and Lam did not want to waste it.

Monsters finally appeared in the periphery of second island. The hidden beasts got their senses alert at the coming feast.
