My brother is an Idol

Chapter 81: Chapter 81

Chapter 81

“It’s…”

Hyoyoung hesitated in embarrassment before continuing, “It’s just… I like you so much, Oppa. So to have someone you like touch you and kiss you makes my heart go crazy. It beats so fast that I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack.”

“I… make you feel that way?”

“Of course! You know that, so why do you ask?”

“You never told me you feel that way, so how would I know? I thought it was just me who felt that way.”

“I have to tell you that for you to know?”

“How would I know if you didn’t tell me?”

“You can see how I look at you and react when you are around me.”

“But without you actually spelling it out… I would be just guessing.”

“Gosh… men.”

“…”

“How is it that I have to tell you everything? Explain everything? I mean, just make an educated guess and go with it! How can I tell you how I feel every single moment? Do I really have to say it? Say that you make me feel excited? That you make my heart pound? That I feel like I’m going to die because I like you so much? That I want you to hug me? I mean…”

“OHHH! So you wanted to tell me those things!”

“W-what? No, it’s…”

“You feel excited around me? You want me to hug you?”

“NO! Not like that!”

“My Hyoyoung… you are so mature and open! What a woman you are!”

“STOP!”

Hyoyoung reddened and ran into the house. Kiwook grinned and walked behind her as he laughed.

“She is so adorable. She is going to be the death of me!”

He was about to walk into the house as well when someone called him from behind.

“Kiwook Noh.”

Kiwook flinched and stopped. The man standing behind continued quietly, “As I suspected… you are still friends with Hyojun Ahn, right? I knew that if I came here, I would see either Hyojun or the both of you… since this is Hyojun’s house, right? And I was right!”

Kiwook turned around slowly.

President Shim. He was standing there with an ugly smile.

15,000 fans arrived and were seated within 20 minutes. There were still two hours left until the concert began, but they didn’t care. As soon as they arrived, it seemed like time had stopped and they all became one. They sang The M’s songs together. They laughed, chatted, and shared snacks while talking about The M.

Mikyung, Aran, and Jihye all looked excited as well.

“Hey, when is Hyoyoung arriving?”

“She said something happened at home, but she will make it. She will probably get here just as the concert begins.”

“Why do things keep happening in her family?”

When Aran seemed skeptical, Mikyung defended Hyoyoung, “Hey! Every family goes through difficult times sometimes! Stop questioning it! She said she won’t be late, so that’s what really matters.”

“What the heck, Mikyung! I thought you and Hyoyoung were falling apart, but now you guys are best friends again?”

“What? Hyoyoung and I were, and always will be, best friends!”

“By the way, these seats are amazing! I’ll bet we can even see The M oppas’ facial expressions!”

Jihye agreed excitedly, “I know! What does Hyoyoung’s older brother do that he could get these amazing seats?”

“We will have to make sure to thank him the next time we see him.”

“Well, it’s not so much Hyoyoung’s older brother, but her cous… I, I mean, yes, we should thank him later.”

Mikyung almost made a mistake, but it seemed Aran and Jihye didn’t even notice her blunder. They were so excited about being at the concert that they weren’t paying attention.

Time passed quickly and finally, it was 10 minutes before the concert.

When the lights above the audience started to dim and the spotlights on the stage turned on, the fans screamed happily.

“Gosh, why isn’t Hyoyoung here yet?”

“I’m here!”

Hyoyoung sat beside Mikyung, who asked her, “Wow, you really got here just in time! How did you find this seat, by the way? It’s like a maze here.”

“Oh, one of the security guards over there showed me where I’m supposed to be.”

“Wow, so you got escorted to your seat?”

Mikyung was about to ask her something when all the lights suddenly turned off.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a large flame appeared in the middle of the stage.

The concert was about to begin.

The first theme was mystery. The members appeared out of nowhere one by one like magic and started to dance as one. It was a very complicated choreography, yet not a single member made a mistake.

They moved as one and the audience watched in awe. After the first dance, The M continued to the next performance, which involved both dancing and singing. They must’ve been out of breath, yet all of them sang perfectly.

Mikyung screamed, “Wow, it’s amazing! The M is the best!”

All the other fans screamed in excitement, but all Hyoyoung could feel was sadness. She was so proud of them because she knew how much effort it took for them to do this concert.

‘You guys have no idea how much these guys practiced…’

For a little over a month, the guys barely slept or ate. They practiced day after day. Jiwoo lost four toenails while Kiwook’s knees were in bad shape. He took hot baths every day and massaged them, but Kiwook was often in pain. Hyunsuk had an ear problem from all the music he had to listen to, while Hyojun now had a bad back and ankle damage.

On top of that, the emotional and psychological stress the members had to go through…

The smallest mistake, misunderstanding, or rumor could ruin them. Just as the fans loved them, they could turn on them instantly, and The M members knew this very well. They tried not to take things personally, but it was impossible.

Any physical injuries could heal over time, but the emotional scars they suffered sometimes seemed to get bigger and infected.

Hyoyoung knew this very well, so she couldn’t help but feel upset for them as well. And this concert… It was proof of how hard The M worked.

Their triumphant return!

It was so impressive, and Hyoyoung was so proud that she couldn’t help but cry. Tears rolled down uncontrollably and Hyoyoung could barely see the stage because of it.
