Marvel: The Journey

Apocalypse and his Horsemen stood at the stairs that led inside the pyramid with Storm and Archangel floating in the sky. In contrast, Apocalypse, Psylocke, and Magneto stood on the lower stairs.

They saw the Blackbird hover in the air. The hanger opened, and the Blackbird slowly descended on the ground, a couple hundred meters away from Apocalypse's Horsemen.

Psylocke raised her psionic sword while Archangel unfurled his wings, and Storm started channeling lightning into her body. Magneto raised his hand while Apocalypse glared at the Blackbird with purple eyes.

Suddenly, the doors of the Blackbird opened, and Val flew out of it and toward Apocalypse.

* WHOOSH *

"Hello, fake pharaoh!" Val taunted, hovered in the air several meters away from Apocalypse, and said, "We meet again."

"Ah, the cowardly hero has returned," Apocalypse replied mockingly, "You could have been my finest masterpiece, but you chose to flee like a scaredy-cat."

"Art is subjective. And, all things are subjective," Val scoffed and seriously said, "Hand over Charles, and we won't have to fight."

"What a joke," Apocalypse sneered and said, "He's not going anywhere."

He turned around and ordered, "Go forth, my Horsemen. Kill him for me."

"Yes, Master," They nodded.

* BOOM *

A vast shockwave reverberated as Archangel flew toward Val and taunted, "You should know your place, fool. What is standing before you is a God!"

He aimed and punched Val, which, though unbelievably fast, was even quicker to dodge it.

* WHOOSH *

"My god doesn't accept infidels," Archangel spoke, "Do you still believe you have the right to call yourself a hero?"

Archangel then took out a blade from one of his wings and thrust toward Val with his speed reaching almost the speed of sound.

* BANG *

Val saw the blade coming at him and calmly dodged it again.

* WHOOSH *

Archangel stopped quickly, turned around with a disdainful expression, and taunted, "Are you only able to dodge? You can't even put up a fight! Did you come here to be a punching bag?"

Val rubbed his face with his left hand and looked at the palm covered with blood. He flicked it, saying, "Quite sharp."

* BOOM *

Archangel flew toward Val again. He increased his speed and said, "You will die alone here."

Val smirked and replied, "Who said that I'm alone?"

"Wha—!?" Archangel shouted when he saw Wolverine and Sabertooth suddenly appear out of thin air in front of Val. He tried to stop himself but unfortunately, he couldn't and...

* SCHICKK *

* SPLURT *

"Aaarghhh!" Archangel screamed in pain as Wolverine and Sabertooth thrust their claws inside his chest.

"He's all yours." Val smiled and said.

"Sure thing," Wolverine replied, pulling his claws from Archangel's chest.

"Hey, Wings?" Sabertooth grinned and asked, "You fly around like a bird. Do you also taste like one? Let's test it out, eh, Jimmy?"

"W-Wh... What?" Archangel managed to say when both of them lunged at him, suddenly causing the three of them to crash on the ground.

"One down, three to go..." Val murmured when suddenly...

* BA-BOOM *

A thick tendril of lightning exploded and smashed into the ground before him, sending cars, bricks, and glass shards everywhere. He raised an eyebrow and smirked as he turned around and saw...

* CRACKLE *

* CRACKLE *

* CRACKLE *

Storm floated in the air, lightning crackling and strong winds blowing around her. She glared at him with glowing white eyes and said, "Face the wrath of Famine!"

She channeled all the lightning around her into a beam and shot it toward Val.

* CRACKLE *

* BOOM *

Val didn't dodge her attack and let it hit him.

* BOOOM *

A massive explosion occurred, and Storm sneered, seeing the cloud of dust, "Fool! Did he die so easily?"

However, as the dust slowly settled, her sneer vanished and turned into anger. Because Val was standing in the same spot without any harm done to his armor with a huge grin.

"Nice light show..." Val said, "For an amateur..."

"Aaargh! How dare you!" Storm shouted in anger and shot more lightning beams at him.

* BOOM *

* CRACKLE *

* BOOM *

* CRACKLE *

However, Val kept dodging them with a smirk on his face, further angering her.

"Stop moving, you cowardly worm!" Storm shouted and raised her hands up.

* WHOOOSH *

* SHZZZOOM *

The clouds above her began to twist and turn. The environment suddenly changed from sunny to a severe windstorm as the winds blew crazily.

"Face nature's wrath!" Storm shouted as the clouds above her transformed into a raging cyclone. The cars began flying in the air, trees began being uprooted from the ground, and bricks and debris began flying everywhere.
