Marvel: Reincarnated As Tsunade With A System

Chapter 8: Negotiation Breakdown?

This is also why the government has been so on edge lately; many powerful mutants have been appearing, with growth in either their numbers or quality.
In the beginning, the government wanted to take a strong stance toward them, imprisoning and restricting them, but now they realized it was a mistake.
They shouldn't have tried to eliminate them but to control them. Unfortunately, it was too late because no mutants had confidence in the government anymore, only hatred toward them. Even some members of Professor X's X-Men hate them.
Fury said, "Okay, let's end this test, I think it's no longer necessary."
Well, Emma should be the government's trump card. Nobody should know the limit of her abilities. He is 100% certain that as soon as they finish this test, it would somehow be leaked. There are CIA, mutants, and many other spies in S.H.I.E.L.D., something he knows but can do nothing about.
Emma was surprised that the test ended so early, but that was good for her. She now had an even more intuitive understanding of her new power, and the less detailed information people had about her, the better.
"One last thing: we need a sample of your blood in order to conduct some research and help you develop your power." Thinking everything was finished, she suddenly heard Fury say this.
Almost without hesitation, she replied, "Impossible."
Since things had been going well all along, she had never refused any tests. He didn't expect her to be so resistant to such a simple request.
He used a more official tone: "This isn't a request, Ms. Emma, this is an order."
'An order, my ass, no more diplomacy, huh,' Emma complained to herself.
'I guess I must show them something more real, otherwise they would think I'm a pushover.'
She said, "No, no one will do experiments with my blood."
As if she were angry and couldn't control herself, she started releasing her Chakra. This time, she didn't hold back and really released a large amount of chakra, to the point that the ground started cracking.
One agent, who couldn't stand the pressure, finally couldn't help it and fired his gun at her.
Fortunately, her Chakra was already activated. Emma was very angry—whether it was her own personality or the memory of Tsunade she received—she was hot-headed and couldn't accept playing the pushover. She directly punched him, causing him to pass out and some of his bones to crack.
"Activate Protocol 15, quickly activate Protocol 15," Fury yelled as the situation escalated.
Still, he couldn't understand. Weren't they just discussing peacefully? How had the situation gotten so bad?
This is why he also doesn't like dealing with mutants or superpowered people. They are so unstable and can't be controlled. Who knows what they would do in a fit of rage?
The Protocol 15 he told them to activate was for any mutant attacking a S.H.I.E.L.D. base. With this protocol, a special substance would be released that would cause any mutant to lose their abilities for a few minutes as long as they inhaled it.
Tsunade couldn't see with the naked eye, but some gas was released at Fury's order. She immediately thought it might be something to incapacitate a mutant's abilities.
If it was any other mutant, they might panic, but not her. She knew her powers weren't from the X-gene but from her Chakra.
The original owner of this body might have truly awakened mutant abilities after the incident since S.H.I.E.L.D. judged her as a mutant, but it's definitely not her Chakra.
Chakra is a form of energy present in her body, derived from physical and spiritual sources. It is not a mutation or an external power but an internal resource that flows within her.
Therefore, she was confident that substances that affect mutant genes or external powers would have no impact on her Chakra.
Just like that, one minute passed, and Fury, along with his armed agents, stared at Emma.
'Sh*t, does the gas not work against her, or is it that weird green energy protecting her?' Fury's mind was going crazy. Anyway, who wants to receive a twenty-something-ton punch, or even more after that green energy?
'Guess I'll have to return to diplomacy,' he thought, clearing his throat before saying, "I think you may have misunderstood. We only want a sample of your genes so we can analyze your abilities and come up with a more detailed plan."
Emma, still looking angry and intimidating, replied, "Don't take me for a fool, Colonel Fury. I even doubt if you're from the army."
"I only followed you because you were able to clear a public hospital so openly with military support. At the beginning, I thought you were truly a Colonel, but after coming here, I realized you were lying."
"This place has nothing to do with the military. It works like some kind of spy headquarters with people hiding and being secretive everywhere."
"I've also worked in the military for four years, so I know what's been done to mutants. I will never allow my blood to be studied. Who knows what kind of weird things you would do, maybe clone me like Superman?"
She said the last part jokingly since Superman is from the comics, but it was enough to express her view.
END OF THE CHAPTER.
