Marvel: Reincarnated As Tsunade With A System

Chapter 17: Spied Again

Unfortunately for Emma, the figure following her didn't approach until she entered the restaurant. Nonetheless, she thought, 'Let's fill my stomach first.'

She quickly placed her order because she was really hungry. Technically speaking, she hadn't eaten anything since yesterday. Even when she visited the Ancient One, she was only given tea.

Speaking of the Ancient One, Emma never expected the dealings to go easier than in her plan. She couldn't help but think about their discussion.

...

Emma, sitting in her room playing games, felt some energy fluctuations. Although it was moving rapidly and she could have evaded it with her reaction, she didn't.

It was a portal from Kamar Taj's magic, like in the movie, which meant her plans had worked. She could now safely proceed with her kidnapping plot.

At the other end of the portal stood the Ancient One and her shadow clone, waiting for her.

Emma dispersed the shadow clone to gain a better understanding of the situation and what had happened, thanks to the memory she received.

Upon comprehending the situation, she quickly understood and said, "Hello, Master Ancient One, it's an honor to meet you."

The Ancient One nodded with her usual gentle and peaceful expression. Although she was surprised and curious about Emma, she had even more of a headache concerning the timing of her arrival.

The future concerning this woman was more erratic. Sometimes, she just couldn't seem to grasp what was happening. She could only catch glimpses from time to time, and even those were only concerning the world, not specifically Emma. The only reason she knew Emma was the cause of the changes was that in the glimpses she saw, this woman was so popular that everyone on Earth knew her.

The Ancient One said in a friendly tone, "You are truly a wonder of this world. I have seen the future many times and made many plans, but after you awakened your power, the future is no longer something I can see as I used to. I wonder what happened to you."

Emma was happy since it meant the Ancient One couldn't see the future as she pleased. Things became easier and more malleable for her; now, she could truly act with peace of mind.

She replied, "Haha, I was sent to this world after, well, what people in this world would call death. As for the rest, I don't think I have the authority to tell you the process. It may even cause a backlash that could destroy this world because it concerns some beings above, you know, the Seven Cosmic Entities."

If it were just about Emma knowing the future or being sent here by some random person, the Ancient One wouldn't care. But the fact that Emma knew about the Seven Cosmic Entities was shocking. Few knew about them, and even the person who sent Emma to this world was stronger than them, according to what she said.

The Ancient One didn't trust Emma because she appeared trustworthy, but because she had her own way of determining if someone was lying, and Emma hadn't lied since entering the room.

This gave her even more of a headache. This wasn't the first time she'd encountered beings from another dimension with knowledge about this world, some even more than her. Weren't they the ones she dealt with to protect the world?

But if they were on the level of or above the Seven Cosmic Entities, this wasn't something she was qualified to handle. In front of beings like that, people like her were merely entertainment.

She tried to probe further to ensure Emma knew what she was talking about. She said, "You speak of them as if you know their power. That knowledge isn't something just anyone can possess. I admit, even I don't know the limits of their power."

"But do you really know what you're talking about—someone above them?"

Emma replied matter-of-factly, "Of course. How else do you think that, even with the Time Stone, you can no longer see the future? Or, you know the Living Tribunal, right? Until now, they haven't interfered with my presence in this world. Do you think that's something anyone could pull off?"

Emma wasn't lying, or at least she thought the being who sent her to this world must be at the OAA (One Above All) level or something like his counterpart.

Otherwise, how could she not have been arrested by the Living Tribunal for disturbing or altering the universe's order?

The Ancient One nodded. She knew there were beings in this world that she couldn't fathom. In fact, she had a relationship with 'Death,' one of the Seven Cosmic Entities Emma was referring to.

In fact, she planned to follow 'Death' in her role as overseer of the afterlife. She said, "So, why did you come to see me?"

Emma was pleased that the Ancient One bought her half-truth story. She said, "In fact, I just wanted to make things clear to avoid any conflicts or misunderstandings in the future."

"My actions will definitely change the future, but I have no bad intentions for this world. I'm quite sure I will even help it be saved."

The Ancient One couldn't help but sigh. What could she do? Imprison Emma because of this? That would be like asking for this world's destruction.

After that, they continued their discussion for a full fifty minutes, during which Emma requested to learn magic, specifically portal magic, the skill that interested her the most in Kamar Taj.

When Emma was sitting at her table recalling her little discussion with the Sorcerer Supreme, her order finally arrived.
