MARVEL: RE-DO

CHAPTER 228

The Necrosword thrummed with more power as it devoured a part of Knull to heal him. As if that was not enough, the five Celestials he had killed and turned into his symbiotes came back to him and were absorbed into his blade.

“For eons have I pondered on how to make sure I will never lose should a situation arise where I was freed. EONS! And you think, what? That the impressive combined might of your allies will trump me for a second time? PREPOSTEROUS.”

The veins around the blade grew into a red pulsating fleshy membrane and spread towards Knull, dressing his wounds and giving him an ominously black armor with red veins around it.

Matching his get up, my axe appeared in my hands glowing red as I tapped into the Null attribute of my powers.

Knull’s eyes glanced towards my axe for a brief moment before settling down on me and the two giant Celestials surrounding him.

Scanning the wounds on my body, I found out that it was reacting to Knull’s All-black and the areas around it were getting an ash pale looking as if the cells there were dying slowly despite my best efforts.

Knull had to die soon for this stalemate to be broken and for a side to win an advantage. With that directive in mind, I charged at him and clashed our weapons together only for All-black to fizzle out smoke and pulsate violently as if it had been hurt, which it had.

This was a trial for me in regards to me using the Null attribute in battle and I can say the first try was a glaring success.

I sent out a slash mixed with Null, Space and Reality powering it, towards Knull at close range which blocked most of his escape route as he would face Celestials at any turn which left him with the only choice of stopping it head-on, a decision that caused his treasured blade to cry out in agony.

I could see the way his fangs gritted against each other as he stared at me with renewed hate, one I reciprocated without even trying. He howled in a bestial shout and rabidly pursued me only to have Tiamut bar his path with the growing Celestial punching forward with his cosmic-clad fist which seemed to bring down gravity and dim out of the lights around us.

Knull attacked the incoming fist only to have Arishem blindside him the moment his sword clashed with Tiamut’s protected fist with a double-fist punch to his skull that sent him flying upwards due to the fundamental law manipulation on my part only for me to appear before him with a space lock that he fell for only to have my axe, with its disproportionate gigantic bladed edge, pierce completely through his body and sent out an explosion of power that sent him tumbling back downwards towards Arishem and Tiamut who were ready for his arrival with cosmic beams on both hands while I complimented them with a Null blast fueled by all the volatile abilities in my arsenal.

The blast was so strong that it completely threw us galaxies away from ground zero but unfortunately for Knull, I wasn’t about to give him any kind of respite. Ignoring the pain that bled through the wounds on my body, I layered my course midair and made a complete 180° for Knull. “Don’t let up!” I shouted to the two Celestials and started my follow up attack as I dived head first into the raging explosion while firing energy blasts at Knull who was still under the pain of the joint attack.

Knull forwent all forms of reason and thrashed around like a mad dog, attacking anything that came within a specific distance with him, making it a little harder to advance freely.

“Press on, Draul.” I heard Arishem’s voice and saw him blast ahead of me straight into Knull, suffering deep slashes from the Necrosword but he didn’t relent, keeping his momentum until he entangled with him in a fisticuff bout which would have been comical given their varying sizes had this been any other time.

Seeing Arishem tank all Knull’s wild attacks with his huge body, Tiamut who had warped directly after Arishem’s chase formed a blade of highly condensed pure cosmic energy and severed the hand with which Knull held his Necrosword and pushed the blade towards me only for it to disappear as I banished it into a dead universe bereft of life, the very one Tiamut had used for his emergence.

With the slew of fluid actions and movements that all happened within the span of a few fractional moments, we ganged up on the disarmed Knull and pommeled the living hell out of the Void God.

His strength and attack potency plummeted down a deep trench after he lost his other bladed half and subjected himself as the recipient to the rage fueled and completely apathetic attacks of his three assailants.

…

[General POV]

It was as if the four of them lost all inhibitions of reason as three of them descended on Knull with every mode of attack that flowed into their movements.

They paid no attention to themselves or the void around them as they crashed through suns and planets, setting a galaxy on fire as they flashed past it. Foregoing every sense of caution in regards to injuries sustained, they punched and hacked at Knull while he did the same to them, fighting them to the bitter end as he struggled to equally dish out whatever he received.

They broke through numerous spatial points in the midst of their fight and laid waste to intergalactic empires but none cared in the slightest.

They had all undergone a transformation during their tumble; Knull no longer looked humanoid as his entire figure had changed to a formless mass of darkness that formed tentacles to attack, while the two Celestials on the other hand, Arishem and Tiamut, had golden cosmic energy cascading their huge form, with Tiamut shining the brightest due to his golden armor.

Draul on the other hand had huge gusts of red flames seeping through the cracks on his body while also being bathed in the purple glow of the Power Stone. None of them looked good as they had numerous injuries on every part of their body but they couldn’t care any more less as all their attention was focused on ending the existence of the Dark God in their arm’s reach.

Draul’s axe dug into Knull’s body for the nth time and causes darkness viscous blood to flow out which caused Knull to cry out in pain only for his voice to be muffled as a golden cosmic mace construct covered his entire face and forced it to bend backwards at sharp angles only for another axe hack to completely obliterate his exposed throat.

Whatever screams he wanted to wail were destroyed along with his throat but even that gained him no pity from the trio.

Grabbing Knull by the scruff of his deformed neck, Arishem warped away while Draul and Tiamut followed immediately after, three of them working in one mind as they got ready to vanquish the King in Black once and for all. Following Arishem, they left the territory of the universe they were in and descended into the void only to have Draul’s darkness cover them to prevent Knull from pulling any sort of escape.

Arriving at the void, Tiamut then opened his hands and a small pebble in it grew large enough that it grew bigger than them – the remains of Klyntar.

“I’ve severed whatever link he has with the horde so there’s no way he can revive through them.” Draul said after throwing Knull’s Necrosword towards Klyntar’s rubble and moments later his body burst out with power, an action mirrored by the two Celestials, while Arishem threw Knull’s body towards the debris of the tainted planet.

Space and reality crackled and split as fissures were ripped through them just by the sheer amount of power radiating from Draul, Arishem and Tiamut.

Knull’s disfigured and weakened form tried moving towards the direction where he could sense All-black but it could only form thin threadlike tentacles from its body and even if he could move, both he and every single grain of Klyntar’s space dust was held by a tight spatial lock from all three of them.

And then judgment was passed…

“Fallen God, Knull. For your terror against life and its multiversal creation, you are forced to answer Oblivion’s call. From this moment henceforth, you, Knull, self-proclaimed God of the Primordial Void, will cease to exist as your existence is rendered null and void… A fitting end.”

The energy surrounding them further exploded as traces of multiversal laws could be seen on Arishem’s body with Tiamut embodying the same thing, while the energy that overflowed from Draul’s body seemed to render everything moot. Returning everything to nonexistence.

Truly a fitting end for one such as him.

They each formed an attack that represented their being and fired it off at Knull’s resting place at the same time.

No sound was produced as the void and the nature of their attack destroyed it all.

They couldn’t hear Knull’s final cry as he perished alongside with his prison in the same place he called home. How ironic.

At the wake of the attack, after the light had subsided, nothing was left as the void remained as peaceful as it always was.

…

They continued looking at the spot they vanquished Knull despite knowing for certain that he no longer existed. They remained like that for quite some time before one of them, not sure who, released their breaths, and like a domino effect, exhaustion washed over them as the after effect of their reckless fighting came at them with full force, causing them to take in deeps breaths, even though they didn’t need it, after they released the one they’d been holding in.

Draul was the first to crash as he assumed a sitting position with a solid platform under him as blood dripped from every part of his body. He hadn’t been healing as fast as he would have liked during the longer part of the fight but thankfully he figured out a way to battle against All-black’s poison by fighting it with his Null.

It was only as the battle got more ferocious that he started seeing the parts of the ability that made it frankly terrifying. Long story short, he’d seen small success in using it to not only erase just the poison but also in erasing other aspects of people like nullifying a part of Knull’s resistance to physical force and cosmic energies and even nullifying, or at least part of it, the damage he received. This was just the first battle and he felt like he’d been fighting for days.

He staggered for a brief moment as he tried standing up as a wave of vertigo hit him before clearing off. “We should get moving. Who knows how much time we spent fighting Knull? There are still quite a few things that needs taking care of back in my universe, and judging from how I can still feel it, it’s not been destroyed… yet.” Draul said right before he punched a hole through the void and shot back into the universe they came from, leaving the two Celestials to follow behind if they wanted to.

Their alliance was made in order to stop Knull from getting stronger and to kill him at the earliest they could afford, which had taken DAYS! Much more if you count the numerous time dilations they went through.

The only good thing that came out of this entire fight was that Arishem was smart enough not to stop him from leaving as he would have faced the full brunt of whatever Draul was feeling at that moment. As far as Draul was concerned, he still had a mission that just got updated with Knull’s erasure – fuck up everybody who barred his way.
