Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1347: Utter Destruction!

The humongous Gyarados terrified everyone, especially the commander in charge as he felt the Gyarados's fierce gaze being directed right at him.

"What the fuck is going on?" he questions with utter dread as he sees the Gyarados open its maw and charge up a Hyper Beam. The commander in charge freezes in his spot, as he is overwhelmed by his situation.

"Mommy," is the only word he could utter before Gyarados released his Hyper Beam and incinerated anything that touched it.

Gyarados doesn't stop with just incinerating the very first person he sees, instead, he continues blasting his Hyper Beam by moving his head around incinerating massive amounts of Cipher fleet within a few minutes.

This massive army that was not showing any sign of slowing down or reducing in numbers has now suddenly been halved in number.

Satisfied with the destruction he has made, Gyarados lets out a low growl of satisfaction. This causes every person present on the battlefield to feel their whole body vibrate.

Even though the soldiers fighting for Melemele island have not been targeted by the Gyarados, they feel terrified seeing the monster.

Lucky for them, Gyarados is done with his job here. He submerges into the water and disappears as if he had never been there from the very beginning.

The first person to recover from the shock is Kahuna Hala. He doesn't know where this Gyarados came from and why it only targeted the Cipher army, but he isn't going to complain.

And as he sees the state of the enemy's army, he gets excited. Now they have the upper hand in this battle.

"People of Alola, this is our chance. Let's drive these evil-doers away and protect our homeland from their evil intentions," Kahuna Hala shouts and charges forward.

Seeing their Kahuna charge toward the weakened enemy, the soldiers once again regain their confidence and launch another wave of attack.

Tapu Koko also manages to recover from its shock and joins the Melemele army for another counterattack

And this time, the soldiers of the Melemele island are overwhelming the Cipher army.

They are being destroyed, as they are completely outnumbered and outgunned.

Within a few minutes, the whole situation now has taken a drastic turn as the Cipher army is retreating while the Melemele army is chasing after them.

Back at the Cipher war base, Miror B is clapping his hands in rhythm and watching his pokemons dance to his tune.

Miror B is not having a good day as he is being disturbed by his minions continuously throughout the day. He just wants to dance and teach his pokemons how to dance.

And just as he is about to lower his guard, as it's been some time since his goons have not disturbed him, they came running in with panic written all over their faces.

"Boss, something terrible has happened," one of them yells as soon as he enters Miror B's room, snapping Miror B out of his joyous state.

Miror B gets very frustrated but he can't do much as they are in the middle of a war right now.

Miror B "What is it now?"

He asks with an annoyed tone.

"Sir, our army that was attacking the Melemele island has been defeated. More than half of them are dead and some of them have been captured. Commander John is also dead," the minion informs.

Miror B suddenly stops being frustrated and becomes concerned.

Miror B "How did this happen?" he asks.

"Boss, you remember that weapon we told you about?" one of them asks.

Miror B "You are telling me there is more than one?"

Miror B frowns as he assumes that Alola has more than one of these powerful weapons that can destroy and cripple armies. If this is true, then winning this war might be way harder than he expected.

"No sir, it is only one. In fact, it's not a weapon at all," the minion says in a nervous tone.

Miror B "Then what is it?"

Miror B questions with a frown.

"I.. it's a Pokemon, a 25-meter-long red Gyarados," the minion says but even he can believe the words that came out of his mouth.

Miror B "Hmm so it's a 25-meter-long Gyarados... Wait! What the fuck did you just say?"

Miror B exclaims and almost loses his balance.

"A 25-meter-long Gyarados," the minion repeats his words.

Miror B "How the fuck can there be a 25-meter-long Gyarados? It doesn't even make sense!"

His minions had no answer to his question.

Miror B "Do you even know who controls it?" he asks.

"Boss, I believe this Pokemon belongs to the Champion Julian," one of them says with a meek tone.

Miror B "Who?"

"The previous champion of Kanto, the undefeated champion, the strongest trainer. Our records show that he is the only one in possession of a red Gyarados that's bigger than a normal-sized one," the minion says.

Miror B finally takes a seat with a defeated look.

Miror B "What the fuck is he doing here?"

He questions as his head starts to hurt. This war is turning into a nightmare for him.
