Journey Towards Greatness

Chapter 1334: A New Spy Mission

Julian wondered how he can find this man responsible for making all this fuss. Julian knew he had to find this person fast, but he doesn't like his chances, as this person who came in contact with Guzma might have already fled Alola.

Julian could have prevented his escape if he escaped by water, but Julian has no control over the sky, but Julian still has to try.

He then called out some of his pokemons to scout out every island of Alola.

Gengar, Kyurem, Aegislash, and Charizard separated from Julian before starting to comb down all the islands thoroughly.

Though it will take some time, Julian is confident in their ability to at least find something and report back to him.

Julian also started looking around on foot and talked to a few locals on this island to see if they saw anyone suspicious. And it seems that he is out of luck.

None of these people have seen anyone suspicious, but just as Julian was about to give up and head back to his hotel room, Gengar arrived by his side and informed him about something he found.

With Gengar taking the lead, Julian quickly followed right behind him, which took him to a small run-down-looking building which doesn't seem to house anyone.

Julian followed Gengar into the building and found himself in front of a makeshift tent with some food waste, an extinguished fire pit, and in the extinguished fire pit is some burnt clothes.

One can easily tell that someone burnt down their clothes here and quickly took off.

Julian "This dude didn't stay for long. He must have already left or has completely changed his look"

Julian murmured, but then he suddenly thought of something. He looked at Gengar and spoke.

Julian "Gengar, trace the aura around those burnt clothes and try to find if anyone has a similar aura around the Alola islands"

Gengar nodded with a grin and easily picked up the unique aura around the burnt cloth.

Every living being has a unique aura that distinguishes them from others and Gengar being able to control and use an overwhelming amount of psychic energy can easily trace such aura.

That is why Julian is never worried about leaving Gengar behind, because he will always be able to find Julian no matter where he is in the world.

Julian doesn't have much confidence in finding this person, as he could have already fled from Alola, but it is still better to give it one last shot.

It will take Gengar some time for him to cover the whole of Alola, so Julian decides to head back to his hotel and spend his day training his young pokemons.

Returning to his hotel, he didn't bother putting his little pokemons through any physical training. Instead, he made them focus on their energy manipulation.

Now that his Grubbin has evolved into Charjabug, he can now start leveling up by focusing on his energy control.

Physical training would not do much to his improvement because he won't evolve through normal means anymore.

To evolve further, Charjabug will need a thunder stone and Julian has a few of them in his dimensional pouch.

But Julian doesn't think Charjabug is still ready to evolve, and that is why he needs to perfect his energy control.

The newest addition to his team, Marshadow, is already very good at energy manipulation, but that is where he has come up against a wall.

Though he has learned everything by himself and done it exceptionally, without any guidance, he will be stuck at his current level for a long time.

So now, he is focused on teaching Marshadow energy control and how to increase power. By doing so, Marshadow will level up much faster.

While Julian is training his Pokemon, Gengar is tracing down the aura of the unknown man and he found himself on the edge of the island. Staring at the invisible aura that has already left the island.

Looks like the unknown man has already left the island. Gengar could, of course, follow the aura all the way to where the man is headed, but he decided to inform Julian first about it.

______________________

A few hours have passed and Julian can already see minor improvements in his pokemons, but these improvements might slow down, so he will need to continue changing his methods.

As he is about to end their training session, Gengar floated in and informed him about the escape of the unknown man.

Julian "Expected as much. I want you to follow this man back to where he went and observe everyone he meets and talks to."

Julian instructed.

Receiving the mission, Gengar saluted Julian and left the room. Going on another spy mission.

And Julian brought his attention back to his pokemons. Without Gengar, his shadow will be empty and he has a perfect replacement for it until Gengar comes back.

Marshadow.

Though Marshadow is not as skilled as Gengar, he can still be Julian's eyes from his shadow.
