I Became the Best Forensic Doctor After My Betrayal

Chapter 61 - 61 Gift

61 Gift

Lian Jing held her hand and forced her to place it on his abs. His eyes were filled with mischief. “Why is your face so red? Are you feeling shy?”

Shen Yin glared at him resentfully and pulled her hand back. She chased him away angrily. “You can leave now.”

Lian Jing ignored her impatient tone and patted her head. “Do you want to continue taking off my clothes or shall I kiss you?”

“You’re shameless!” Shen Yin pushed his hand away and pouted subconsciously, looking as fierce as a kitten that had been bullied.

!!
“Alright.” Lian Jing did not want to push her too far, so he strode towards the door.

Shen Yin thought that he was finally going to leave, but to her surprise, when Lian Jing passed her, he grabbed her arm and pressed it behind her head. Then he kissed her gently between her eyebrows.

Before Shen Yin could flare up, Lian Jing pulled back and said dotingly, “Good night, my Yin Yin. I’m looking forward to my birthday present from.”

That man!

Shen Yin’s heart was pounding. She had subconsciously held her breath when he kissed her. Her heart rate only slowly returned to normal after Lian Jing left the room.

What a shameless man! He had asked for a birthday present!

Shen Yin tidied herself up in frustration and lay on the bed. She looked at her son, who was curled up in bed and sleeping soundly. She could not help but imagine Lian Jing coaxing the child, and her heart started to beat wildly again.

The next morning, Shen Yin was on leave. She slept until late in the morning before she slowly crawled out of bed. Shen Yin repeatedly cursed Lian Jing in her heart as she looked in the mirror and saw the dark rings under her eyes.

It was all this d*mn man’s fault for mentioning a birthday present out of the blue. It had caused her to sleep poorly all night as she thought about what to give him.

Should she give him a present or not?

As Shen Yin looked at herself in the mirror, her gaze grew increasingly resolute. She nodded firmly, pleased with her own thoughts.

After she had washed up, Shen Nian called to her excitedly from outside the door, “Mom, come and see. Daddy bought me many presents!”

Shen Yin’s heart skipped a beat and she hurriedly opened the door. In a moment of anxiety, she asked sternly, “What did you call Lian Jing?”

“Mom, I…” Shen Nian shrunk back and lowered his head timidly. He was annoyed with himself for having angered his mother in a moment of delight.

Shen Yin realized that her tone had frightened Shen Nian. She squatted down guiltily and apologized to Shen Nian. “I’m sorry, Nian Nian. I used the wrong tone. Don’t take it to heart, okay?”

“Mom, if you don’t like me calling him that, then I won’t do it anymore.” Shen Nian pouted pitifully. No matter how smart and brave he was, he was still a six-year-old child.

Shen Yin had always been a gentle mother. She had never spoken to him so fiercely before.

“It’s not that I don’t like it.” Shen Yin sighed. Lian Jing was his biological father after all. If the child wanted to address him as father, what right did she have to stop him?

“Really?” Shen Nian’s eyes glinted. He heaved a sigh of relief when Shen Yin nodded. He happily pulled her down the stairs, wanting to show her the presents he had just received.

“Mom.” Shen Nian opened a black box that was labeled as his present for his first birthday. He smiled and said, “Wow, it’s a golden lock!”

Shen Yin took it and looked at it carefully. The golden lock was heavy was clearly made of pure gold. It was even meticulously carved with Shen Nian’s zodiac sign. It was an expensive and thoughtful gift for a child’s first birthday.

Shen Nian opened the second huge box and tore away the label that said that it was for his second birthday. It was a complete set of Lego’s Ultimate Collector Series.

Shen Yin recognized the brand and knew that it was the most expensive series in the Lego collection.

An odd feeling welled up in her heart. Was Lian Jing going to make up for all the birthday presents that Shen Nian had missed in the past?

Shen Nian pointed to the other four boxes beside him. He hugged Shen Yin excitedly and shouted, “Mom, Daddy said a person must receive a birthday present on their birthday, so I will also prepare a present for Daddy. What are you going to give Daddy?”

Shen Yin held her forehead speechlessly. She knew that this man was using a different way to ask her for a birthday present.

That morning, she had decided to ignore this matter. Now that she saw the gifts he had given Nian Nian, she knew there was no escape.

This man always had a way to make her compromise.
