I am Kurt Von Ritzburg

Chapter 70. This is Cheating!

“So, would you be kind enough to explain to me, Kurt?”

Snap!

The foldable fan on her hand just snapped in two, and I was enveloped in her murderous aura. Hahaha… I knew that I had to face it, but still… can’t you be a bit more calm, my dear mother?

“First, tell me, how did you appear out of nowhere?”

“That's a new magic I invented.”

“Really?!”

The Count smiled and was about to come out to praise me, but just one look from her wife made him very obedient.

“Alright. Now, tell me who they are?”

The sudden visit using <Gate> has surprised both of them, my mother and that useless father enough. But it still lacked an element of surprise and fun against the interrogation regarding the new faces standing along with me.

‘Here it is. The real question.’

And I blurted out the most professional answer I could think of on the spot.

“He is Glenn Corner, a good businessman. Didn't I go to Els Federation to look for a manager? He is the one I recruited. And the rest is his family.”

“...”

No response.

Why is she silent?

Mrs. Ritzburg just went on to glare at me, waiting in silence. And only after several seconds did she speak again.

“Is that it? You aren't hiding anything else, right?”

Her eyes narrowed and locked on mine. That oppression… Even Oliver didn't release this level of intimidation in the fight!

Gulp!

“I know that you're hiding something, Kurt. Don't forget that I am your mother. Do you think I don't know you?”

This is definitely cheating! I am a reincarnated person, yet she knows me that well. Mothers are, by no means, normal!

Knowing there was no way to hide it, I came out clean.

“W-Well, Glenn’s daughter Alice will become my wife. I have decided to keep her as my mistress.”

Whistle~

There was the useless Count who whistled, recognizing the horniness of his son, which made him proud. That look of his... Damn! He is probably thinking that this is the effect of his blood running through my veins.

The effect is not in his blood but on me! I am the one proposing girls. How can the original Kurt do it?! On the contrary, that guy let his girl be stolen by the protagonist.

“Dear, can you be quiet?”

“Yes…”

Mother coughed to bring back the original tension she created and then called the girl who was the victim of mine.

“Are you Alice Corner?”

What's with those sweet words? Mother, you never called me like that!

“Y-Yes.”

Glenn pushed the hidden girl behind him to the front. Alice came out and took a few steps forward, feeling the tension in the air.

I labeled her as innocent, and that is because she hasn't learned anything. If I remember the future her... this girl is a mischievous mink.

What I meant is that despite being innocent, her intelligence was high enough to know that something was up.

Looking at her shivering a bit, I knew that I had to come for rescue. If I can't protect her when she needs me, what kind of husband would I be?

“Mom, Alice is sca—”

“You shut up!”

“Yes mam.”

And I tried and failed. Sorry, Alice, but you should remember the courage your husband had.

Now all was left to Alice herself. Will my mother accept her?

Mother bowed down to meet Alice's level of sight and smiled as she asked her.

"Alice, do you know who I am?”

Maybe her smile did some magic, and Alice didn't hesitate and answered her.

“Yes. You are Kurt’s mother.”

“That's right. Since you are marrying my son, I will be your mother as well.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

Her smile just widened the more she interacted with Alice. Alice's energetic and happy energy even affected her!

‘Good! Keep going, my girl!’

And then she asked the question that really matters.

“Alice, do you like Kurt?”

“Hmm. I love him a lot!”

‘Hmph! Of course, she does. Who do you think I am, mom?’

A wink, and girls are down. That's who I am. After all, I have four wives. Do you think it is all because of luck? This is because of my skills. A wink, and girls are down. It's the truth.

“Then, why do you love him?"

Yeah, tell my mom about it, Alice! I have full confidence in your answer.

“Because he gives me treats!”

Poof!

Because I give treats? Is that the reason? Is that why she loves me?

I mean, what else could be the reason? What else made the ignorant Alice fall in love with me? But even after knowing that, the attack hidden within those words stuck quite hard.

The confidence I had when she confessed her love popped off like a balloon.

And my miserable look made one person laugh out loud - Mrs. Ritzburg.

“Hahaha! Is that so? Because Kurt gives treats! Hahaha!”

She just cracked out a big laugh, even to the point of shedding tears. Damn! My reputation!

Don't forget that I am mentally developed. A child might not have, but I have a big ego. And that statement just went through it. Treats? Seriously! Alice, at least you should have told that it was because of my handsomeness.

And it wasn't enough that the rest of the party—Mr. and Mrs. Glenn, my spineless father, and my maid Miria, all laughed at my figure as well. And she wasn't content enough; my mother went on to sprinkle salt in the wound.

“Kurt, did you listen to what she said?”

The tension in the air indeed vanished and became harmonious. But the amount of inflicted damage to bring it… Damn! I can't tolerate those teasing faces.

“O-Of course, I heard it. I told Alice to say that. Do you think I wouldn't know that?”

I turned my head away from her and answered back.

“Really?”

“O-Of course!”

“Hmm… your face tells some other tale, but I will believe your words.”

Damn! I knew she wanted to play with me, yet I couldn't do anything! She made me act like a fool again! I will etch this moment in my head. I won't be Kurt Von Ritzburg if I don't take this revenge!

But then I felt a hand on top of my head, and the owner behind it is someone against whom I made the determination to enact revenge.

“Mother…”

“Don't be that angry, Kurt. I am sorry, alright? Will you forgive me?”

“Hmph!”

What? Forgiveness? It doesn't happen that easily!

Bang!

But with a punch to the head, everything can happen. I told you, didn't I? Strength can solve all things.

“Did you forgive me?”

“Yes.”

“Well then. Come in. It's night, and standing outside isn't good.”

She gestured for everyone to enter, and everyone entered back to the mansion one by one, with me the most behind, rubbing my head to elevate pain.

“Still, mom, you shouldn't hit that ha–”

In that moment, my mother pulled me and grabbed me in her embrace.

“Welcome back, Kurt. Do you know how much I was worried?"

She greeted me as she hugged me. I could feel the worries and the overwhelming love behind it. Damn! I am being cheated again! How can I take revenge after something like this?

What can I do? For now, I did what I should do.

“I am back home, mom.”
