I Am Fugaku Uchiha

Chapter 164: Tsunade left Konoha Camp

“You... You can’t be serious, can you? I don’t have time for your jest; let’s go,” Tsunade declared, abruptly turning towards the camp in search of Shizune.

“Hey, wait!” Fugaku called out.

“What?” Tsunade turned around, only to find him smirking.

Fugaku leaned in and whispered, “I have a secret to tell you!”

“What is it?”

“Your outfit looks tighter, but it also makes you more attractive!” Fugaku remarked, his eyes on Tsunade.

“Uchiha Fugaku, you pervert!”

“Wow, you’ve become stronger than before.”

“Shut up, let me hit you, or I won’t let you go!”

“If you hit me, I’ll die; don’t be stupid!”

After a prolonged chase, Tsunade finally departed with Shizune.

“Take care!” Fugaku called it out as a parting remark.

Tsunade waved in response and then turned to leave. Once Fugaku was out of sight, she retrieved a blood sample from her ninja bag, thought for a moment, and tossed it onto the ground. She stomped on it, causing the blood to spill all over.

“Tsunade-sama, this is something that can enhance a ninja’s strength!”

“I know that!”

"Then... why did you throw them away?” Shizune asked, confused.

“They’re useless now!”

“You can use them for the ninja of Konoha!”

“No need!”

“But…”

“Enough!” Tsunade took a deep breath. “Shizune, from today on, don’t ever mention it again!”

“Yes... Yes, Tsunade-sama!”

Tsunade halted her steps and glanced in the direction of the Konoha camp.

She then turned around and walked in the opposite direction. She had agreed to fulfill Orochimaru's request, betraying his trust for the first time.

How could he have two women already and still want her? It was unforgivable!

"Forget the past and face reality," Tsunade thought, smiling as she recalled his concern during their conversation.

------------

In the afternoon of the same day, Orochimaru surveyed the devastated forest before him, marked by deep gouges in the ground and wet remnants. He was visibly shocked, unable to comprehend the cause of such destruction.

Turning his attention to the Konoha ninjas guarding the border, Orochimaru felt a growing frustration. Why had they chosen this location for defense?

“Orochimaru-sama!” A Konoha ninja, noticing Orochimaru's approach, hurried over to welcome him. His curiosity was evident as to why Orochimaru hadn't retreated with the rest of them.

Guiding Orochimaru toward the Konoha camp, the ninja hesitated, wary of Orochimaru’s unpredictable character.

“Orochimaru-sama, are you injured?” Shikaku asked in shock as he observed the wounded Orochimaru’s left arm.

The mystery deepened in Shikaku's mind—how had Orochimaru sustained injuries? Wasn’t he doing it to be in the Land of Rivers?

Orochimaru nonchalantly shrugged off the concern. “It’s nothing, just a scratch.”

“Even scratches need to be treated. Come with me, Orochimaru-sama!” Shikaku insisted, guiding Orochimaru towards the medical tent.

Orochimaru followed as he inquired about recent events, his thoughts lingering on Fugaku.

The capability to fly and the distraction he had caused were more terrifying than the ambush on the sand shinobi at night.

Orochimaru's mind raced with the realization that Fugaku was delving into the secrets of the Uchiha clan’s Sharingan.

If he discovered his research, the consequences would be dreadful. Perhaps he needed to exercise more caution.

Inside the medical tents, the ground was neatly arranged with mats, each occupied by a wounded individual. The tents buzzed with activity as medical ninjas and numerous support staff worked diligently to tend to the injured.

“Urashi, are you okay?” Nono, occupied with treating a ninja’s wound that had opened during the retreat, turned her head to ask Urashi, with concern, from time to time.

These kids are still young, and Nono couldn't help but worry if they could handle the situation.

“Yes, mother!” Urashi replied as he tended to Orochimaru’s arm, turning his head to answer Nono's question.

A kid wearing a hat, positioned behind Urashi, voiced his complaint: “We’re doing this for the orphanage, right, but I went to play?”

“Because if we don’t do anything, money won’t come to us, Aki. Please help me get a bandage!”

“Alright!” Reluctantly, the kid named Aki agreed.

The conversation pulled Orochimaru back from his thoughts, and he looked at the kid in front of him, commenting with a hoarse voice, “You're not a ninja, but your medical skills are pretty good!”

“Urashi, are you okay?” Nono, occupied with treating a ninja’s wound that had opened during the retreat, turned her head to ask Urashi, with concern, from time to time. These young individuals were still in their formative years, and Nono couldn't help but worry if they could handle the situation.

“Yes, mother!” Urashi replied as he tended to Orochimaru’s arm, turning his head to answer Nono's question.

A kid wearing a hat, positioned behind Urashi, voiced his complaint: “We’re doing this for the orphanage, but why do we have to help these ninjas heal?”

“Because if we don’t do anything, money won’t come to us, Aki. Please help me get a bandage!”

“Alright!” Reluctantly, the kid named Urashi agreed and slowly left.

The conversation pulled Orochimaru back from his thoughts, and he looked at the kid in front of him, commenting with a hoarse voice, “You're not a ninja, but your medical skills are pretty good!”

“It’s the mother who taught me!” Urashi expressed his gratitude.

“Your name is Urashi, right? Do you want to be a ninja? You have the potential to be a great ninja! I can tell…” Orochimaru inquired slowly, his voice carrying a certain charm.

Urashi, a young kid, smiled upon hearing Orochimaru’s praise. “I don’t have that plan. I just want to make as much money as I can for the orphanage, like now.

I've been helping the mother by her side! She did so much for me, and the least I could do was give her a new pair of glasses!"

“Is that so? What a shame!” Orochimaru replied, concealing his true thoughts.
