House of the wolf

chapter 36

I look at the port of Pentos in the distance while the Dothraki and the sailors are all emptying Joso´s Prank the ship given to me by Dany. Only a skeleton crew of sailors will be manning the ship for me with only me and Damon except for the sailors it will look like a ghost ship entering the port, I laugh to myself as Dany is glued to my side trying to convince me to go with them to Astapor but I just hold her until they have finished preparing my ship.

“When we see each other again, I imagine things will be a lot different for both of us”

“Then don´t go, Jhiqui will be devastated she´s still sick and can´t even see you go… and I will miss you”

“Different does not mean worse I have already said my goodbyes, maybe you will be happier when we meet again, stronger and maybe I´ll be a fatty there is no telling what the future holds,” I say making her laugh one last time before I go.

I grab her butt and squeeze with both hands melding her body to me and kiss her with heat hotter than dragonfire as she moans into our kiss, her hands turn white from grabbing at my shirt so tightly when we finally part it leaves her panting and her feet are unsteady.

“Until we meet again Dany” I say and walk away Jorah´s eyes pierce into my back as I leave but before that, I go and see Barristan to thank him for everything.

Standing face to face with “Arstan” away from prying ears “You won´t tell her your true identity?”

“I will, but for now, I will let the queen focus on more important things like accepting your departure. Will you spread the message that the true heir of the Iron Throne lives in Essos the Mother of Dragons” He says as he shakes my hand.

“That is your message to spread Queensguard, for now, the North must follow its own King my brother” And I walk off with Damon to get on Joso´s Prank, what a shitty name! I´ll need to rename this ship.

As the ships separate mine heading for the port I don´t look back until I hear screeching and turn to see the dragons fly over to me I smile and decide to say goodbye to them with their favorite game and when they come to me I grab them one by one and throw them as hard as I can back towards Dany finally I throw the last bag of fish jerky at Drogon who catches it in the air.

“Damon, did you get a reply to your last letter?”

“Yes my lord, they will be waiting at the port and they even mentioned that they found a sellsword company they would like to introduce you to.”

“Sellswords? I barely have the funds to employ a large force but they can´t be trusted… don´t tell me they spent all the money gambling and want to become mercenaries to try and make it back” I mutter to myself as Damon splutters

“I´m sure they have a good reason for this my lord” Damon reassures me and himself now looking toward Pentos with a pensive expression.

When we reach the port my massive ship towers over the docks it takes a while to dock the ship being so undermanned but we manage as I go down the steps I see four guards waiting for me York in the lead all decked in good armor not hiding the Stark colors anymore because even if someone sends news now to King´s Landing we will already be back.

But as we approach I see they have frowns on their faces reminiscent of when they had to tell me the news of my father.

“My lord welcome back to Pentos,” York says looking a bit skinnier than the last I saw him but that´s to be expected with how long he was bedridden unlike me who had puberty, and the breathing exercises on my side but he still looks ready for action.

“We got news from King´s Landing! The Greyjoys have invaded the North, the Frey´s and Bolton´s have betrayed your brother! We still don´t have the details but it is said the Frey´s broke the guest right and a bloody battle happened at the Twins”

My face is ashen as my heart sinks to my stomach. Broke the guest right? Even if I suspected them to betray us, to do something like that could destroy their house on its own even without the Starks taking action what could have driven them to go so far?... A bloody battle they said. That means at least it was not a complete one-sided slaughter but this is bad, really bad!

I just stand and think for a while, and after an unknown time I respond “York”

“Yes, my lord” He responds immediately

“Those sellswords set up a meeting”
