High School of the Dead: Zombie World with a Gacha

Under Lucy's insistence, I closed the gate of the school, making sure to make it tight and secure, it gave me the chance to look beyond and see the literal hordes of those things coming!

"Why didn't the scanner say anything sooner!?"

[The infected weren't close enough to be detected by the Scanner, Brand]

Although Hollow delivered me an explanation, it was difficult for me to believe that we didn't detect anything this morning, yet now, merely a few hours later there are so many of them!

It is either someone is setting me up, or the infection rate is worse than I thought.

I helped Lucy pull the still-panicking teacher inside the School, closing all the gates.

"Lucy call the girls and tell them what's going on, you... with me".

Lucy nodded to my words and took out her phone while I pulled Kyoko-sensei into a bathroom, immediately after I splashed cold water on her face.

"Hey!" She yelled at me the moment her brain short-circuited and began working properly again, I ignored her wet shirt that started giving me a rather arousing outline. She noticed my gaze and covered herself with a mild blush.

"Wake up... this is not a dream, Kyoko..." I saw Lucy outside talking with someone on the phone I assumed was Shizuka. Thankfully we're all in this school except for Yuriko so I don't need to worry a lot about my girls, all of them have guns on them as Lucy does.

God bless my beloved Sonasha that I decided to train them, that timeframe of a year was a trick!

[It wasn't a trick, Brand. Something must have switched the timeline and hastened the catastrophe]

I ignored Hollow and started by calling Yuriko, and she immediately answered me.

"Brand! It has-"

"Started... how are you, surrounded?"

"No, just... someone knocked on the mansion's gates... that bastard bite one of our guards and they began not spread, thankfully I made preparations and a few of my men were ready... we have already closed up all of the-"

Just when I was speaking to Yuriko, the call hung up and I looked at it in confusion.

"Brand-kun"

"Wait a minute".

"Don't bother, Brand... the line is down, the communication tower must have fallen, I managed to speak to Saya but... not with Saeko or-"

Lucy was speaking to me when we heard something bumping to the far left of our alleyway, our gazes contorted together and we came out of the bathroom to look at it... zombies and they're coming, there are already infected students?!

"H-How? we closed the gates!"

"They must have come from the backyard gates dammit, quickly let's go upstairs"

"Should we kill them?!"

"Don't bother, we can't waste ammo..."

"Where did you get that gun, Lucy-chan?!"

"Teacher please don't ask useless questions and come, this really isn't the moment", Lucy rolled her eyes and we began pulling her upstairs, the best we could do right now is assemble.

We were heading upstairs when the school's broadcast began.

"ATTENTION TO ALL STUDENTS, VIOLENCE HAS BROKEN THROUGH THE CAMPUS, STUDENTS SHOULD EVACUATE ACCORDING TO THE TEACHER'S INSTRUCTIONS, REPEAT-"

"Brand-kun, what is going on, really?" Kyoko asked me as if I had any idea of what was going on myself.

"REPEAT! ATTENTION ALL STUD-!"

"..."

"..."

The microphone went silent for a while and everything we could hear was each other's rough breaths and the incoming steps from downstairs.

"HELP! HELP ME PLEASE! SAVE-!"

"..."

What happened after was utter chaos.

"HAAAAA!!!"

"RUUUNNNNN!!!"

The screaming began all over the school and I immediately pulled both Lucy and Kyoko to a corner, embracing the two of them against it!

*BAANG!!*

The students came running in torrents, kicking each other, stepping on top of each other like mad beasts running away, unaware that they were running right on the zombie's hands!

"DON'T STOP!" Kyoko tried to tell them but I shut her with a glint, receiving all the blows instead of them.

"Brand!"

"Shut up, Lucy... I can take this much, start thinking about what we're going to do because I have no idea... let's look for the others first and then we will see... this school is surrounded, I can see them all over the scanner".

So many preparations for when this moment came and now that it is here, I'm absolutely clueless about what to do. Thankfully we are ready to survive in the short term, but I need to lead my girls out of this school somehow back to our mansion; which by the way is quite far away from school.

After ten minutes of relentless blows, the hall finally cleared but the wails never stopped from downstairs, I could almost hear the crunching noise of flesh being bitten and torn apart. Kyoko resisted the urge to vomit.

"Let's go to Shizuka's lab first..." I said; at this time Saya should have been in chemistry class, Shizuka should be in her lab and Saeko must be in the dojo... so long as I know that, it should be okay, but I also know Saya and Saeko won't stay just in one place. Shizuka is the only one I think would stay in her place to wait for me.

I just hope that woman is not sleeping in a moment like this.

"I don't know what is happening Brand-kun, but... I will follow you for now, if that's okay..."

This teacher who had been literally 'bullying' me ever since school began, was suddenly at my mercy; how the turns have tabled, huh?

"Just don't hold us back, you're going to do exactly what I say, Kyoko... I won't put my girlfriend in danger for you".

Her eyes shivered when I said that and I felt Lucy grasp my wrist, giving me a threatening glare that said, 'Don't be so cold!'

Like I give a shit... now that it has come to this; whoever is in the way will be immediately discarded, I only care about my and my girls' lives.
