NOVEL FROG Escaping II
Seeing the amount of gore and destruction caused, it was time for the next step of my plan.
"What's next?" Hirano asked, holding his gun in one hand and a nail gun strapped to his back.
"We're breaking through... there are not as many as before, so let's make a rush for it, Lucy... open the gates" I ordered my beloved who nodded and went to do as I said, this immediately set up the alarms of the group who maybe were expecting something more... prudent.
"Through the front gate?!" Rei gasped, immediately taking her lance, what did she expect? that was the whole purpose of the bombs, to lower their numbers just so it was easier for us to break through. There is bound to be a lot of flesh and blood outside, but what else can we do? there is no other way out.
"Unless you want to make the jump..." I asked her, the beauty rolled her eyes in declining motion.
"No, thank you".
Lucy started to lift off the gates and everyone got ready, including Kyoko, all of them pointing their guns at whatever zombie was to come out of the entrance... the bottom of the gates was coated with coagulated blood it all smelled horrible and looked even worse, but there was no choice. The light started to protrude and so did the zombies.

what ensued next was a barrage of shots from Hirano, Kyoko, Shizuka, Lucy, Saeko, Saya and me. What was most amusing was that only Saya, Lucy, Hirano and I were hitting zombies... the rest? those girls were wasting my precious gacha points but whatever...
It was an utter massacre with zombies falling all over, even after we crippled their numbers, there were still so many of them!
"YEAH! TAKE THAT! TAKE THAT, BASTARDS!"

Everyone took a few steps away from Hirano.

The shootout continued for two minutes before I saw a clear path ahead of us through the corpses, we had to step above a small pile, but we could still cross it.
"There is a clear path! Rei, Takashi and Higuchi with me; Saeko behind me, everyone else behind her, let's go!" I put away my gun and took out Kuroikazuchi, making a run for it with all of my group together, making it through the small pile to finally reach the bloodied streets stained in blood, limbs and corpses all over the damn place.
It was rather easy to make our way through, the frontal team made time for those in the back to make it through the pile and before long we were all on the streets, surrounded by small incoming numbers of zombies. We made a run to the right side, opposite the direction of the house we were at last night.

Two monkey bombs materialised in my hand and I threw them as far as I could from us after activating them.

The monkeys did their magic and attracted the zombies ahead of us, I lifted up my hand to signal the cease of fire and only Saeko, Rei, Takashi and I remained with the melee offensive; I threw the crossbow and arrows to Lucy; we're now silent mode.
I love those damn monkeys... I'd draw more gachas to get more exotic weapons like that, but I'm afraid to get a metallic dildo instead, or a monkey dildo... I can't trust Hollow anymore.
In no time we were away from the supermarket, never to come back there again.
"WOOO!-"
Rei was seemingly unable to contain her joy and everyone glared at her sudden noise, however, we were all smiling. After lots of hurdles, we're still alive and kicking... in no time we departed the area, now replenished with enough food to not worry about starving for a few weeks or even months.
"What's our next destination?" Rei smiled and stood beside me together with Takashi, my girls had been relegated to the background because I tasted Saya and Lucy to protect Saeko. Rei, Takashi and Higuchi are helping me lots on the front line. We kept running, killing whatever zombie came our way.
"We go straight... the first objective is completed, we need a vehicle now " I stated only to hear Kyoko's voice behind us shortly after.
"Brand-kun, I see one!" She said, making the whole group stop to notice that she was a few metres behind us.
We all glared at the spot where Kyoko was pointing; across the adjacent street, perhaps a few dozen metres away there wasn't a bus as I hoped but instead an abandoned pickup truck.
"That's a Honda Ridgeline... it is not heavy duty, but... we can all fit in there," Higuchi said and I nodded, this could work.
"Let's go... we have no other options, if push comes to shove... a group can be in the truck and another smaller group in the motorbike".
We seamlessly approached the vehicle, it was abandoned together with a couple more that were way smaller, and the blood splashed on it indicated to me that someone had been transformed there. The sun is starting to fall and there are no more options, this has to be it.
I saw Saeko slicing some nearby zombies together with Rei, keeping them on the line.
"It has no keys," Shizuka told me, a little depressed; the doors were open but there was no key... what a pro-
"I can start it," Takashi said all of the sudden, earning all of our attention.
"Hoh?" I was actually surprised, this guy's skill set is rather diverse.
"You know how to ride a motorbike and you know how to manually start a vehicle, Takashi-kun? your set of skills is rather... dubious..." Kyoko pointed out what we were all thinking, I mean... for someone I know that was a clutz that couldn't even confess to his girl, he's giving me the retired gangster vibes.
"Hehehe, it is just my father who made me learn all this stuff" The boy in question scratched his head, looking towards Rei as if to hope that she'd be impressed... alas, that girl was so focused on being better than Saeko for some reason, I actually feel pity for this guy at this stage. Fellow, let her go... she doesn't know what she wants.
My pity for him only lasted a few seconds as he got into his own job, which means we need to get him some time and hope he manages to start it.
"Alright, Saeko and Rei with me, try not to work too hard," I said to my purple-haired girlfriend who rolled her eyes.
"Yes, we don't want you to break an ankle, princess" Rei smirked towards her, something that made Saeko's eyebrows twitched and look at Rei with renewed competitiveness... during the training those two would butt heads with each other and it looks like it won't be any different here.

I could only sigh and hope they break the zombies' bones instead of their own. I don't need a second Miku.
