FAMILY ABOVE ALL: BATTLING AGAINST GODS

What is the concept of an attack reaping the lives of hundreds of millions? Such power had almost left the realm of human understanding. Such was the power wielded by mighty figures such as Rebecca, the strongest of an entire race, and a major one at that.

However, despite the wondrous display of her might, Scarlett went far beyond her... with just a word.

Soul cultivators.

Even more rarer than the mighty physical warriors were the terrifying soul-forging cultivators. Like mana and Ki cultivators, soul cultivators had their cultivation system which could be divided into two major stages.

The preliminary stage involved developing and improving the quality and quantity of spiritual energy.

The main stages, involve using the formed spiritual energies to form Spiritual bodies such as the spiritual lake, the sea of consciousness, and the fabled mental world.

Just like the beginner, advanced, master, and grandmaster realms were to prepare mages to form their true core, and one-star to twelve-star stages were to prepare warriors to form their astral bodies, the preliminary stages of soul cultivation involved a simple yet difficult process. Forming and developing their spiritual energy not just in quantity but also in quality.

To enter the true stages of soul cultivation, a soul forger needed to have spiritual energy that could cover a distance of ten kilometers. Just what was the concept of that? It meant one would be able to see and observe a region of ten kilometers with even clearer details than with the naked eye.

Such a stringent condition made it so that soul forgers are even more difficult to find than ki cultivators.

Once a soul forger fulfills the condition, they will be able to embark on the true stages of soul cultivation and become an Infant Soul forger.

The true stages of soul cultivation could be divided into three grand realms.

The Infant Soul stage which is further divided into low-level, mid-level, high-level, and peak level. At this stage, the soul forger turns their spiritual energy into a lake of consciousness.

The Adult soul stage with a minimum condition of spiritual energy that could cover a 100km distance was also also divided into four smaller levels. Here, the soul forger transforms their lake of consciousness into a sea of consciousness.

And the legendary Supreme soul stage, where the soul forger transforms their sea of consciousness into a mental world that they could summon into the physical world. In their mental world, the soul forgers are no different from gods. However, such a stage has never been reached before, at least even when traced back to the ancient records, there has never been such an existence.

The closest there have ever been was an adult soul forger, and that person was a singular existence in all of the dark universe. No other soul forger has been able to break the barrier between the infant soul stage and the adult soul stage. It must be known that just having a quantity of spiritual energy that could cover a hundred-kilometer distance was the minimum condition, and there were far stricter conditions that dealt with the quality of the spiritual energy.

Since soul forgers were even rarer than Ki cultivators, it was only normal that they would wield more fearsome abilities than a warrior's inhuman might and undying bodies.

And that horrifying power was currently being displayed by the strongest soul forger in the history of soul cultivation, a singular existence in the entire universe, the primogenitor of the vampire race...

Scarlett!

With her spiritual energy covering a region of almost five hundred kilometers, Scarlett's single word had turned all within her sea of spiritual energy into mindless beasts.

The terrifying sight of an army of hundreds of millions attacking each other mindlessly would send a chill down the spine of any observer.

Standing within such a slaughter, Scarlett watched serenely as Pride, one of the three abominations who had trapped her, fought against her soul attacks. Despite looking calm, the trickle of sweat that fell down the side of Scarlett's face betrayed her serenity. Even for her, such an attack was a bit too much for her to handle and it was clear she wouldn't be able to hold on for long.

'Now...' she quickly transmitted to Rebecca.

Rebecca didn't hesitate any longer, as she lunged towards one of the three abominations, Doubt, bringing with her, her lightning field of almost a hundred meters, as the rain of purple lightning incinerated all the mindless corrupted in her path. Her charge formed a straight clearing a hundred meters wide in the dark tide of corrupted. In but three seconds, she arrived before Doubt, the lightning field she brought with her raining devastating attacks on the struggling abomination.

However, before the purple snakes could deal any substantial damage, Doubt who had been holding his head while releasing painful grunts suddenly snapped his eyes open in her direction.

Five halos of dark light suddenly burst out of his body with whirring sounds as they rotated at great speed. One of the black halos quickly flew above him, one flew to his front, another to his back, and the last two to his right and left, before they turned into spinning wheels that turned into bottomless abysses as they swallowed all the purple lightning rained on him.

Within the domains formed by his five halos, Doubt's building-sized eyes glared at Rebecca's small figure as two massive pitch-black sabers appeared in his hands.

Together with his body that was over two hundred meters tall, Doubt resembled a true unholy titan that was trying to cleave a mountain into two as he swung his two huge sabers in a cross slash.

Seeing Doubt break out of Scarlett's soul attack, Rebecca didn't hesitate to bring out her full might. She knew this was a race against time, and Scarlett wouldn't be able to continue her almost god-like feat much longer. So she had to eliminate at least one abomination with the time she had bought for them.

Her body suspended in mid-air within the field of purple lightning quickly underwent a massive transformation. Her small but busty figure slowly disappeared and what took its place was a huge mighty wolf with purplish furs about sixty meters high. Its purple eyes resembled two purple suns that sparked with a million charges. Golden bracelets with intricate designs covered the wrist and ankles of the purple wolf, adding an aesthetic beauty to its mighty figure.

Not even two seconds after Rebecca fully transformed, the sixty-meter-high purple wolf suddenly bared its terrifying fangs before transmuting into a thick lightning that lunged at the front spinning halo. Like a drill piercing into a thick wall, the thick lightning seemed to penetrate the bottomless abyss before it, as it made a narrow opening through which a flood of purple lightning entered.

However, like Moses parting the Red Sea, the flood of purple lightning was suddenly cleaved into two by Doubt's hill-sized sabers, causing the purple flood charging at it to pass by his sides. But before he could even celebrate his successful defense, from within the purple flood that passed beside him, a bolt of thick lightning suddenly charged out before re-transforming into the sixty-meter-high wolf who used its claw to grab the back of Doubt's grotesque head. Before Doubt could react, his body was pushed forward against his will, and he slammed into the ground with a great rumble.

BOOOOOM!

The shockwave formed by the titanic figures of Doubt slamming into the ground not only generated a mighty shockwave that pushed the surrounding flood of lightning and even the still-spinning black halos away but even caused the bodies of thousands of mindless corrupted surrounding them to burst into bloody mists.

VOOOOOOOM!

At the same time, the eyes of Scarlett whose face had already pooled with sweat turned into pin size as she watched the pitch-black massive axe suddenly thrown by Pride break the space barrier and arrive before her in less than a split second.

Subconsciously, she raised her hand to stop the axe, a foolish gesture as the axe was tens of times bigger than even her tall figure. Despite the terrifying power hidden within her body, Scarlett was flung away together with the axe like a ragdoll into the distance. Instantly, the corrupted who were being mindlessly controlled came to, a confused expression painting their faces.

But their confusion didn't even last long as...

ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAR!

Scarlett who was flung away together with the huge axe suddenly roared in anger, and from her hand which was still in contact with the shaft of the axe, her body quickly transformed.

From the air, two massive legs suddenly fell to the ground, creating two massive ditches as they slid across the earth from the remaining force. The flying axe was brought to an abrupt stop by a hand filled with sharp glistening claws.

Surrounded by a pool of dark blood which had formed on the ground by the unfortunate corrupted who were squashed by the two massive legs, a hundred meters high monster with no eyes or nose on its face opened its mouth filled with jagged teeth and released a deep terrifying roar.

ROAR!

The minds of the corrupted who just came to blanked out, their heads filled with ringing sounds, as the sound wave passed ahead of them and cleared the dark sky.
