Evolution: Start AS A Raft

35. Treasure Map

Since the blockade of the Mississippi Trading Market route, Morgan Trading Market has seen a sharp decline in missions.

Raine quickly swam near the mission point, and his arrival immediately drew the attention of the surrounding ships.

"Huh? It's Captain Avril. Why did she change ships again?"

"It seems to say that Lt. Shobe and Hades gave a sum of pearls to them. It seems that they got a lot of shares."

"Don't be greedy. You also can blind the octopus emperor's eye if you have the ability. Hello Captain Avril, an awesome new ship!"

The captains here stopped staring at Avril's body when they saw her. Now when they see Avril, they politely call out "Captain Avril".

In addition to Lt. Shobe's frequent visits, the ship's legend is enough for others to respect the woman.

Avril smiled politely, "Well, the previous ship broke down and had to replace it."

After a few casual words, the ships around the mission point consciously gave way so Avril could stop a little closer.

When Goldwell saw Avril and the others, he took the initiative to greet them, "Avril, you're back. The new ship is very good!"

Avril smiled and said, "Thank you."

Avril pointed to the crowd gathered over there and asked, "Goldwell, what's going on over there."

"It seems a traveling merchant has brought a lot of rare things!"

Raine looked in that direction. There was a figure covered in a cloak. But the curve of the cloak could tell it was a woman with a very delicate figure.

"She sells equipment, materials, skill books, and even has an armor that reduces underwater resistance, it seems called Zora or something ...... But I guess she can't sell anything. These things are rare in human-level seas, let alone ours!"

The crowd stopped paying attention to the merchant after hearing that it was expensive.

Terry shouted, "Goldwell, is there any good mission?"

Goldwell laughed, "You guys came back just in time. A treasure map came over here. Are you interested?"

Treasures are a unique symbol of this era. It was very common.

Wealth sometimes becomes a dangerous commodity in this world of the weak and the strong. If you don't have enough strength to protect your wealth, it will only bring disaster.

So some people store most of their wealth somewhere, thinking of waiting for other days when they are strong enough to take it out, but after many people hide their treasures, and then there is no more.

In this era, shipwreck is too normal.

Of course, although wealth may be dangerous goods, no one will hate these dangerous goods.

There are too many rumors that a certain fleet of ships became rich overnight after discovering the treasure. These unverifiable legends let people treasure hunting tend to rush, like a drug addiction.

Treasure hunting is also very risky.

Treasure hunting requires a treasure map, but a treasure map may not be able to find the treasure.

It is possible that the map is false, or true, but the time has changed, the crust movement, or by someone first, and so on for a variety of unknown reasons, and the treasure is no longer.

In addition, treasure hunting outside is not safe, it may encounter pirate groups, sea monsters, bad weather, or something, and the risk factor is very high.

So some people do not search for themselves after getting the treasure map. They will directly consign the sale of the treasure map.

Some low-level treasure maps or crippled treasure map value is too low, and no one in the human-level sea to buy, and they will entrust Morgan Trading Market such as a small market to sell.

Thus, there is this mission.

Raine's knowledge of treasure is not so familiar, but he has an overwhelming obsession with money, so he is already heart-pounding just hearing the words "treasure hunting mission".

"How much is the treasure map?" Terry is more knowledgeable and asked.

"This is cheap, this is a quarter treasure map, but the treasure's location is just on this one. This map only needs 30 pearls."

The people around immediately let out a hush, "Is the fragmented map worth 30 pearls? The commissioner treats us as fools, hm?"

"That's right. Usually, a complete low-grade treasure map is only worth 100 pearls. Boss Goldwell, how much commission do you take to help them sell such useless treasure maps."

"A quarter of the map, who can find the place?! Goldwell, you should slam the map in the owner's face and let them find it themselves!"

Goldwell glared at these people and said, "Cut the crap. If it was a complete map, would it only sell 30 pearls? Besides, the treasure map shows the approximate location is only 500 nautical miles around us. You can take a stroll. Maybe you'll find it."

"Mr. Goldwell is fooling people again. We've been here for years. There is no island in a 500-mile radius! It must have sunk to the bottom of the sea, and it's impossible to find it."

This time Goldwell did not say anything. He just casually made a perfunctory remark, "Shut up if you don't buy it!"

Raine did not say no, nor did say buy. It is natural for such an important decision to be made by the captain. But there are too many people around. Avril can not directly ask Raine.

"Uh, Goldwell, can we look at the map first?" Avril asked.

"Yes." Goldwell stood at the edge of the board, stretching his arm to hand over a piece of leather of an unknown kind, looking like it had experienced an unknown amount of wind and sun.

Avril took the treasure map, went to the ship's bow, squatted down, and spread it out on the bow deck.

Raine's enthusiasm cooled off when he looked at the map.

Sure enough, it is a quarter of the treasure map, so big a piece of skin, but the top is a small piece of painted things. The topography of the above can not be identified. It can only roughly see that there is an island. The treasure is on the island.

This island is also not big. How big can the island have in no man's land? The overall shape does not show where the island is at all.

With this map alone, even the person on the treasure island may not be able to recognize it.

The treasure map of the owner is very sinister. Even the latitude and longitude lines are not written. Just note down the general area. Presumably, someone may want to rely on his memories with this map. He is confident that he can find the treasure. After all, the treasure map recorded the range of just 500 nautical miles around Morgan's trading market.

Only just now, it was said that there is no island around, and looking at the performance of Goldwell, that's true.

In other words, the island may now be out of the sea. The search difficulty increased substantially.

Just when Raine wanted to give up, the system's voice rang in his head.

[Detected a copy of a fragmented treasure map. Do you want to scan it?]

Does the system still have this function? Wait, the system does have a radar, Raine only uses it to warn of danger, but if it can warn of danger within 500 meters of the ocean floor, it can naturally scan the terrain there!

The Azure Era is only 300 years old. Even if this island sinks, it won't sink below 500 meters, right?

"Scan!" Raine immediately ordered in his brain.

Soon, a map appeared in Raine's head.

This map Raine had seen, he had shown it when he went to the island with Avril, but most of the area was black.

However, after a few months of hanging out at Morgan's Exchange, the chart showed more places than before, especially around Morgan's Exchange almost were shown.

[The location marked on the treasure map has been searched.]

On the chart, a small red dot appeared. Raine's heart jumped wildly at once.

Just that easy to find it? Is this the rhythm of getting rich?
