Dragon Tales: Reincarnation.

The talk with The Dragon Newt and A Shock.

Then why?!

Why is he calling me that?!

If this goes on, Every single soul here could find out that I’m an Elder Dragon!

I have to stop him!

“Stop right there. Don’t say anymore. Let’s talk someplace else.” I say.

He looks up and then says.

“As you wish.”

What ‘You wish’! Shut up and stop this already!

“Come on. Get up.”

I signal him to get up.

“Come with me.”

“As you wish.” He says.

Stop it already!

Look! Everyone’s looking weird at us! They’re whispering to each other!

First my food and then this?!

I walk in front and exit the diner.

It had already gotten evening. The red sundown was near.

I keep walking and see that there is an alley just beside the diner.

I step into the alley.

“Come here.” I signal him.

“As you wish.” He says.

Just as he steps into the alley,

[Punch]

“Guh?” he lets out.

“I am telling you to stop that!” I say.

“ As you wish.” He says.

“Stop saying that again and again! And why are you saying that either way!” I ask him.

“Are you not an Elder Dragon Your Excellence?” he asks in turn.

How does he know?! Did someone see us on our way here? There was no one around during that Mana storm. Or the bandit attack.

Then how?

“Yes. I am. But how do you know that? Did someone tell you?” I ask.

It could be possible that the word got out from Weskin’s mansion. Albart did give an order to his servants to keep quiet about my identity.

Did one get excited and went on a spilling spree?

“Why won’t I?” he says as he keeps his eyes down.

“Don’t say that like I know the answer. How do you know?” I say.

“Have you never met a Dragon newt My Queen?” he says.

There he goes again with those embarrassing titles. Now it’s ‘Queen’!

“Stop with the queen stuff. I have never met a Dragon newt before.” I say.

“I see… so that’s why… You see… whenever a Dragonoid or a descendant from the dragon race, dragon newts being descendants too, looks into the eyes of an elder dragon, they are bound to show respect and submission. That is because elder dragons are our superiors. Ones meant to rule over us. What I’m trying to say is that if someone related to the dragon race looks into your eyes, he will immediately know you are an elder dragon. That is the absolute bond of respect and recognition.” He says.

I see. So that’s how he knows. No wonder when he looked into my eyes, he immediately fell onto the floor.

“May I ask? Why are you here, My queen? It may sound rude. I have never met someone as superior as you…” he says.

He goes again with the Queen. I’ll let him say it. He looks so happy to see me. I don’t want to spoil his joy.

“An elder dragon might rarely step foot out of their kingdom…” he says.

“Their kingdom? I’m sorry but I’m not informed on that matter.” I say.

What kingdom? I never heard of a kingdom like that…

“Aren’t you the Fire Queen Ignia?” he says.

“No. I’m Velkra.”

“Forgive my rudeness but may I ask what element you belong to?” he says.

“Me? I have them all.” I say.

“I-I see… Including space?” he asks.

“Yeah. Is something wrong?” I ask.

“No, No, it’s just that I haven’t heard of you…”

“Well. I was just born not long ago.” I say.

“So that's the matter. Then I suggest you meet the other Elder Dragons too… I’m sure they will welcome you with open arms. They are very courteous towards their race.” He says.

Meet the other dragons. Hm…

It’s not a bad idea but should I do it immediately?

“I don’t need to go right now do I?” I ask.

“It’s better if a new member meets them quickly. If you go around and rumors get to them that there is a new elder dragon and you didn’t come to meet them, then they could get mad at you…” he says.

They’ll pout if I don’t meet them soon? What are they? Kids?

“I’ll think about it… I just need to sort things out first.” I say.

“Then. My Queen. I will be on my way. I was going on a request from the guild, to begin with.” He says.

“Then. I bid you good luck in your hunt.” I say in a dignified manner and put my hand over his head.

“I am truly honored. Thank you, Queen Velkra.” He says.

“Don’t mind it. Go.”

He was a good man. He steps out of the alley and turns to the road and walks away.

I could’ve punched him hard and killed him if he was any danger though.

But. The Kingdom of Dagons, huh? Felia or Carmine didn’t say anything about that.

Maybe I should ask Albart for a world map. He surely would have access to one. Because I don’t think getting one would be easy in the town.

Should I head back? I gotta get out of this alley though.

“Yo. Missy. Why are you standing in this dark alley?” I hear a voice from behind.

“Hmm? No. I’ll be going now.” I say that as I turn around.

I see three bulky dudes, with some armor and swords with small knives on their belts.

“Looking for fun missy?” one says.

“I’m sure she is. Let’s take her.” Says another one.

Sick people. Scum. That’s what comes to mind when I look at them. The ones whose faces look like they would kidnap a kid and defile them.

Why am I using such strong language? That’s because you cannot imagine the rage welling up inside of me.

This surely brings back the memory of the mugging I died in. but it’s different. This time it isn’t money. And I’m not weak either.

“What do you want, scum?” I say.

I have my mask on. If they saw my face right now they would be scared off.

“Scum? Who do you think you’re calling scum!” says the man as he pounces in my direction to grab me.

“You truly are scum,” I say and jump behind them farther into the alley.

Now, these are people that should die. How am I wishing for people to die? You see, my skill [World Perception] lives up to its name. it truly percepts the world. Including the scum’s aura, they are emitting right now.

“Tell me one thing. Have you harmed kids before?” I ask.

The man looks up for a moment.

“Who knows? Maybe?”

[Divine Eye]… the skill which has a subskill to see through every lie.

He’s lying. He has.

I’ll kill him.

“You are going to die, today people…”

“Huh?! What did you say?!”

“[Shing]”

“Wha?!”

“Run! She’s a monster!”

“Like I’ll let you…”

“[Shing] [Slash]”

“Ahhhh! HELP! SOMEONE HELP!”

Help? You don’t deserve to live. I’ll kill every single soul that tries to hurt children. That’s my promise to myself.

Law couldn’t do anything to most of the people in my previous world that did this vile crime. But there’s no law preventing killing here, is it? Not me. Perfect. I’ll keep using these powers to purge them.

“Master. That wasn’t a good thing.” Says Twixie as I’m walking down the road.

“Why didn’t you come out to eat back there?” I ask.

“You expect me to come out there? Where everyone was staring daggers at you? They could jump out of their seats if they saw me then.” She says.

“So? What do you mean by wrong?” I ask her.

“Was it necessary to kill them?” she asks.

“Absolutely. They were scum. Lowlifes that don’t deserve to live. Lowlifes that hurt children. I cannot bear the burden of turning a blind eye.” I say.

“So that’s it. You knew because of your skill right?” she asks.

“Yeah. Anyway, we’re going back to the mansion.” I say.

I walk to the mansion. The crowd of people is beginning to clear up as the day reaches its end.

The stalls and the shops are closing. One by one. People are heading back to their homes.

There could still be some children out there. Helpless. Unable to resist. My blood boils for them.

But unfortunately, I can’t be everywhere.

I walk and walk thinking about this and finally. Reach the Weskin mansion.

The knights that are usually on patrol are guarding the mansion but I don’t see Lucius here.

I walk toward the main gate and open it.

As I step in,

“Ah! Great Velkra Where have you been?!” says Caryl.

Something’s different about her.

“Oh! Great Velkra you came back! We were worried about you!” says Albart who comes out pacing behind Caryl.

He’s different too.

“Welcome back, Great Velkra.” Says Carmine.

“Welcome back! Big Sis Velkra!” says Lucy.

Big Sis?! What?!

“Welcome home… Great… Velkra…” says Felia as she shyly comes from behind Carmine.

Home?! What's going on?!

They are different. Different from before.

How? It can’t be neglected.

A streak of white hair. Yes. A streak of white hair is prominent. Every single servant standing in attendance and the whole Weskin Family is changed.

“Great Velkra, Look.” Says Caryl as she places her hand on her stomach.

“What?!” I say in shock.

Her belly! What?!

It’s big! How?! How’d that happen?!

“Great Velkra, Your blessing has caused the process to hasten.” Says Albart.

Did my blessing make the pregnancy go faster?!

“You all are different! What’s going on, Twixie?!” I say.

She flies out of my hood.

“It's not something to be so surprised about. I told you before, didn’t I? Humans are like water. They take shape on influence. Their hair got a streak of white with the color of their respective elements on its end. Their stats have gone up. As for Felia, you can see that her ears have gone white and the tip of her tail. Her element shows on the tail’s end.” She says.

Yes. They have changed. So much that they are close to unrecognizable.

“This to Great Velkra.” Says Albart as he stretches his mouth.

“Huh?!”

Their teeth! They are like mine! Pointy!

“Was it meant to be like this Twixie?” I ask the person now sitting in Felia’s palm.

“I already told you. Your blessing caused this. You don’t have to worry about it so much.” She says.

Even the shape of their faces seems different. Albart looks young now. Even Caryl. They look like they are back in their twenties!

Felia, Carmine, and Lucy got much cuter than before!

Even all the servants look like they are a bunch of backup models!

Especially Felia and Carmine. Did they get much more… womanly? That’s a respectful term.

“Now we can stay by your sides for very long, Great Velkra.” Says Albart.

“They got their life spans stretched out too…” says Twixie.

“You guys didn’t do it out of greed did you?” I ask them jokingly.

“No No Great Velkra. We would never do such a thing. But the blessing indeed made me and Caryl younger. The baby’s going to come very soon it seems. About a few months It is…” Say Albart.

“Great… Velkra… I have a request… Lucius and his subordinates request for your blessing too.” Says Felia.

“I already had decided that I would give them a blessing too. Does that count on all the guards on this estate?” I ask.

“No, Great Velkra. The guards are here on the royal order. The only five personal Knight Guards are Lucius and his men. Lucius only supervises the security. He does not have the authority of a proper superior over them. So blessing them five will be sufficient. If you accept them that is. Not that we will be able to defy you once you gave us your blessing.” Says Albart.

“Then. Call Lucius and his men. I’ll give them a blessing right away.” I say.

“I’m right here, Great Velkra.” Says Lucius coming up from behind.

“Lucius and his men. Do you swear your loyalty towards me?” I ask.

“We do, Great Velkra.” They say in unison.

Why do they look so happy? Is this that big of a deal? Not that I’m going to understand it.

“Then I grant you my [Blessing]…” I place my hand over them and activate the skill.

For a moment their bodies glow, just like before. Then they fall to the ground, unconscious.
